Alyssa, please tell me you did not add the butter while whisking the eggs etc the butter is folded in at the end , no wonder it stayed runny if that was the case.
I followed the recipe perfectly, but my butter/sugar/egg mixture didn’t rise as it just stayed orange and runny after 15 minuets of mixing. bloody disgraceful

@@TraumaQueen65 That doesn't look like the same sponge. There's 4 eggs in the recipe you posted. In video recipe it's 6 eggs and 3x ? cups sugar etc.
