- The LA Clippers have one game left to play if they're not careful. Game 6 in Dallas could spell the end of them unless Paul George and James Harden have one more major performance in them, at least.

Luka hasn’t been that great overall and kyrie is not as consistent either. It’s come down to role players. Dallas role players are outplaying clippers by far.

That 31pt comeback almost had the Clippers on their toes. Clippers, after being down by just 15, lost motivation in the rest of the game afterwards. That's the difference.

I just did the Math. The Mavericks beat the Clippers 642-602 in the series. The Mavericks won by 40 points. That was a crushing win.

Getting CP3 turned Clippers into franchise, that is now a regular contender. i DON'T know if you missed playoffs more than once since then. That allowed you to get other superstars, and quality players. Like Jamal Crawford, JJ Redick, Eric Gordon, Pat Bev, Zu, Kahwi, Serge Ibaka, James Harden, Daniel Theiss, Tobias Harris, Nicholas Batum, Russel Westbrook, Montrezl Harrell....Doc Rivers continued riding the wave (I think he is the one that missed the playoffs), and now you have Ty Lue. Proven, yet still young, head coach with Championship on his CV. Hope you could keep him for a long time. The only mistake, and it's a big one, is getting played by Sam Presti in Pasul George trade. He asked for Danilo Galinari, 6 first round picks (one turned out to be Jalen Williams), and let me have that rookie Shai, he didn't have a great season. PG13 is 33yo and is about to become a FA. Thunder already has a brutal young core and enough unprotected picks to create a dinasty. Hope LAC don't go back to pre 2010 years. Btw, I think Dallas will go to WCF, and I think Clippers would too.

Forget about tonight's game, it's only a snapshot of the underlying issue. This team has a fatal flaw, they're hurt at the most inopportune time and they're old and only getting older. Regardless if you win tonight and win on Sunday, how many big games can you get out of PG & Harden. Blow it up!

Thanks for the pod, Coach. I imagine this will be the last time I listen to you. I've made a promise to myself that if the Clips don't make it out of the second round, then I'm done. I've been a never-miss-a-game fan since 2010, but I've had enough. I watch basketball to enjoy myself and watching this franchise collapse year after year after year is not enjoyable. It's gotten to the point where I don't even enjoy the regular season anymore because I know that it doesn't really matter. This season, having Kawhi play all year and then get injured. It's just too much. Maybe I'll revisit the team in a few years.

I actually would prefer to root for under-talented team that gives it their all then watch superstars collapse. It's not just Kawhi, it's something about the culture. I have been a Clipper fan forever, i remember Swen Nater, Bob MacAdoo, Benoit Benjamin, Randy Smith, ErnieD, and Danny Manning. Tonite the season will end, they are just not good enough, especially without KL. Sorry fellow Clipper fans, i have dealt with the pain for 50 years. Stick a fork in them they are done. The pessimism in clippers nation is wild. Like yes it sucks we’re without kawhi but it’s a 7 game series. I for one still believe in the team. Harden and PG will come through I just know it.

I don't think the guys have confidence in Lue's adjustments at this point; 2 games this series down the drain because he started Kawhi without even timing a single run.
Lue drops playoff games left and right because he's snoozing and/or not aware of players' conditioning.
I suspect that tonight they are going to play loose and whatever happens happens.
Lue is on the block anyways, because going to 7 in R1 is not how a team of older guys wins a title.

I don't think the front office will over react if The Clippers don't advance without Kawhi....
I don't believe Russ will opt in at that type of salary again(assuming there is no title defense at stake)
I think he will seek a new starting pg spot(if Billy Donovan is still The Bulls head coach i could see Chicago as a destination for Russ. If Vogel is fired in Phoenix, that's another spot i could see)
I'm not a huge Billy Donovan fan but i know if Russ plays for him, he will get to play like a starting pg.....

I just don't see Russ wanting to come back as a reserve if his two seasons as a reserve didn't result in a championship.
I think he believes in his ability to impact games as a starter, playing 32-36 mins a night.
I see Chicago as a possible destination if Billy Donovan is still there and i see Phoenix as a possible destination if Vogel is not there.
I don't really see any other starting jobs for Russ.
Theres a lot at stake in this game.
Westbrook shooting has been historically bad this series even though he's mostly played good defense but to end the season shooting this bad is something else and pretty sad😢...And then for PG-13 to be non- existence in two out of these five games so far is inexcusable and Harden can't afford to have another bad game, otherwise I don't see any way were re-signing them, even if it means we suck next year,but prob have to because of new arena.
I am expecting them to come out and play really hard and well and anything short of that is a failure and I think I'll be done watching this team as it's currently constructed unless playoff time comes around next year and they're all healthy.
Best case scenario is they win tonight and then the Claw is ready to go for Sunday & can come off the bench at least, but even if they do win tonight I'm not confident whatsoever that they'll beat this Mavs team two games in a row,even though game 7 is back in LA, but you never know,especiallyif Kawhi plays...

Clippers are objectively cooked unless unconscious from 3 like game 4 (18-29!). Harden in his career overall in Games 6 & 7 not good, no Kawhi, -8.5 to -9 Mavs big favorite for a reason.
