Planning for next season should start now. We can use game 4 to get a final feel for the likes of Green, Exum and DJJ. Kleber and THJ should already have plane tickets booked to anywhere. We need players that can do it on the big stage, and those mentioned have proven they can’t.
When Luka fouled out they should have put Exume in. JB targeted Thj and that’s how the Celtics kept their lead. I didn’t understand replacing ur weakest defender with the only guy on the team worse than him.
Personally the lineup I want to see
Pj,djj,Donte,kyrie ,luka
3 defensive players that are versatile
Donte gives you ball handling/play making
Now Pj/Dj can get a corner shot and switch with bigs
Then you have Luka and Kyrie
worth a shot. i like it. maybe lively and green working in. a 11 man rotation is wayyy too much. just going to be out talented

They're not even iso heavy as a Team. Like Kyrie said, they got where they are as TEAM. Not as just him and Luka dominating. They were far away from top level defense until after the Allstar break. We defended the best, beat the best and had our big men overachieving off the pick and roll and ultimately defensively overachieved at the front court and back court with Luka and Kai. The Celtics are the only ones who made us break character. Luka mentally has broken. Trapped in his own efforts to force his body to do what he does best. Offense. And now he's either succeeding but to the detriment of the Mavs defensively. And even now offensively holding them back because of ball stopping and turnovers. Again. Totally out of character...
Credit to the Celts. They're the real deal. If the Mavs have good off season moves, heal, get in better shape to enter the season, reenter the playoffs healthy, gel and peak at the right time like this year and they'll be right back next year if the Timberwolves aren't ready because they're coming too. Before these finals, I recall a reporter asking Kidd what the team is going to do to kind of refresh themselves/get their minds right for the finals. To kind of take their minds away from the game to reset themselves. Kidd said nah, we won't be going to the zoo or anything like that. Perhaps that's the problem....the Mavs are burned out. Perhaps they shouldve done a fun, team building activity away from the game because when you constantly have your pedal to the metal...your engine will eventually blow up.....BOOOOOOM!!!!
