Doc Rivers is the most overrated, choke artist, and undeserving coach the NBA has ever seen. He has 1 championship ring because of KG, Allen, Rondo, Pierce etc. The Celtics won that ring in spite of Doc Rivers. This was the worst decision the Bucks have made and a small market team like the Bucks cannot afford to make these kind of mistakes.
A team with 4 hall of fame players only winning one championship.

If you consider the talent of his players, talent of his coaching staff, state of the league (4 star team in 2 star league), and circumstances, no one has underperformed more. Also, everyone mentions 3-1, but he owns a slew of worst of all time records, and all his former players and former players in general say he doesn’t do anything and is terrible. Maybe try to think about it slowly and see if you get it.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who notices this….Doc always throws the players under the bus and never takes any accountability, never mentions any adjustments he could have made, etc…and a lot of his coaching deficiencies show through his players’ performances on the court

That's all he's ever done and has been god awful since then. He is one of if not the worst coach ever at making adjustments in the playoffs. No coincidence that if a team blows a 3-1 or 3-2 lead in the playoffs, it's a good chance Doc was coaching them
What's worse is that he's the consultant for the Bucks. The Bucks goes to him asking for consultation on how to improve the team and there's a good chance he'll be like "You should fire your coach and replace him with a better one", "who should we replace him?', "Well obviously me!!".

He's player-centric and biased towards NBA players as if they can never do anything wrong...that's why he's always throwing them softballs during their interviews. JJ's best seasons were under Doc Rivers...he's nothing but a hypocrite and somebody who doesn't know the history of basketball.

Rivers has blown a 3-1 lead three times in his career, first with the Orlando Magic in 2003 against the Detroit Pistons.
Then did it twice with the Los Angeles Clippers, first in 2015 against the Houston Rockets and then again in 2020 against the Denver Nuggets
1 championship with the original super team celtics and by my count that’s 1 chip in 9 seasons in boston.

doc rivers as a player played 8 seasons and never made more that 2 mil per. his career total earning were just under 8 mil.
jj reddick played 15 seasons and made 23 mil in one season at one point and over his career made over 118 million dollars.

JJ Redick is speaking the truth. He might not have said it in the nicest way, but he's right. A bunch of players have had problems with Doc Rivers as their coach. Carmelo Anthony and Bomani Jones discussed on Anthony's podcast how they've never heard any player speak positively about Rivers.
Chris Paul even left the Clippers partly because he didn't want Rivers as his coach anymore. And there are stories about Glen Davis and Matt Barnes not being happy with him either.

I was a Clippers fan back when Doc coached, and then switched to the 76ers. Doc has coached 2 teams I’ve followed very closely, and I’ve seen him make a lot of excuses and throw other people and his team under the bus.
