      @Tito Brozzi how is a mixed race man from the U.S.A. saying, "I'm an American" in response to a question a out his ethnicity chauvinistic? Having pride in one's country does not make that individual chauvinistic. And in response to the comments about racism and shootings south of the border; don't you think that eliminating the ethnic prefix that identifies a person as (race prefix) American, as Mr. Ortiz has done, eliminates the racial separation that only contributes to identity politics which in turn leads to segregation of every race in one state that leads to shootings, hate crimes, etc....
      The point I was attempting to make in a nutshell is thus: integration of people of one nation is less conflicting than segregation of ethnic individuals in one state.

    • @PrimeForm1
      @PrimeForm1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well Adam didn't use the correct term when he asked him that question. He asked tito what was his nationality when he meant ethnicity.

    What's wrong with being a construction worker. They make it sound like it's a shameful thing. I've been in the construction industry for nearly 30 years. I've been involved in many projects that I'm proud to have done.

    • @mcstarling07
      @mcstarling07 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Depends on whether you're a basic laborer or a skilled tradesmen. Adam was obviously a basic laborer probably making minimum wage in the brutal conditions the construction industry faces. Skilled trades (once you've put your time in) are a different thing and a different perspective. Skilled tradesmen can make $100k/year and have people under them doing the physical labor side for a lot of it. I started as a laborer and felt the same way that Adam was describing. I went to college, then came back into the industry to work up to project manager and now Ive seen a different side of it. If you put your time in, get a license, maybe even join a union, there's plenty of money to be made, benefits, retirement, and the projects are important to the communities.

    Plain and simple. To all of the guys on this podcast. I am 45 years old and I have seen your highs and lows. I followed UFC since day one and of course I watched the man show.
    That being said, you have all earned my respect regardless of any he said, she said, they said, b.s., and reactions to those things along the way.
    Tito almost had it right in one of his statements. The loneliness of MMA is the purpose of the endgame. It is not a team sport. The purpose is to not come in 2nd place. Even for those that learn and train for self defense you do not train with a thought of losing because of the real consequences of it. Of course there are other examples of such things, boxing for example.
