There was never any effort to actually ban heavy metal music. If anything, the media attention just helped sell more records. The real threat was from private citizens, like the people who sued Judas Priest, claiming that JP made their kids kill themselves. If that had prevailed in court, private citizens might have tried to sue heavy metal out of existence.
It was, four decades ago. Life moves on. Lots of great music out there. More than ever, really. It's just more effort to wade through a lot of crap to find it.

Thank you for the kind words. Truth is they were both recorded with my same phone from my POV at each performance. In Wichita I was in VIP side stage, with this video however I was right out in front of the speakers. STILL, nothing compares to getting out and seeing them live though! I can't wait to see them again.... (And again, and again)
