    I’m still impressed with quality of the 2.5k bmcc images, just wish the battery would have been more interchangeable. I am not one trying to keep up with the latest and greatest, but tools that help tell a quality story. Oh yeah, I also still use a Panasonic af-100 to tell my stories.

      I still use the 2.5K with a Vmount battery

    Like film vs. video. The og looks MUCH more cinematic with the great fairchild sensor... it does not just "Keep up", Its better.

      I agree. I would buy this camera before most. I already have one and planning to buy another 2.5k. Nowad6, they cost about $500 or less.

    Great comparison. Would love to see more of these. BMCC 2.5k still holds up very good.

      One question for my understanding: With Generations 1 and 4, you mean the RAW-engines of Resolve?

      That’s exactly what I was thinking when I was looking at the footage. The skin tones look so nice!

    All they looks great! One question please! How do you switch between Color sciende Gen 1 and Gen 4 in the BMCC2.5k? Is It a new firmware? Excuse me if the question seems dumb. Thanks!

      @teodor_b_g 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I know, you can only change it if you shot in BRAW, it's in the Camera RAW settings in DaVinci Resolve :D
      Hope this helps :)

      In rec puoi solo girare con la color science 1, ma poi con Resolve 18 Puoi cambiare in Color Science 4 dal pannello Camera RAW che gestisce il pre-sviluppo del tuo file in RAW. A me piace più la prima versione: ha meno DR ma è più bella e cinematografica l'immagine. Sembra un Super 16.

    Resolution is overrated the 1080p bmpcc still gives a great image aswell.

    Yep. Another vote for heck yes it holds up! Lovely footage. How is the workflow with those old raw files though? I’ve been wondering how BRAW 6K compares to 2.5K DCI in terms of resources/pushing the computer.

      i have no problems with the cdng files in resolve. playback is fine on a 2020 pc laptop. I have 2x 2.5ks. one a mft mount and one an EF. the ef i ave a magicbooster that helps dramatically, and the MFT i have a speedbooster.

    After careful observation, in my opinion, the orginal BMCC 2.5 still wins. BUT with careful color adjustments and effects such as adjusting film blur in '"Film damage" effect and the "Soften/Sharpen" effect in Resolve, they can be pretty darn close.

    I sold my 2.5k to "upgrade" to the P4k : (. Now I am scared to buy another 2.5k because I guess the battery will be dead and the thing was unwieldy enough without having an outrigged battery attached.

    I prefer the BMCC for the image, but the 4K and 6K for Braw convenience

    Did you do something with her eyes? Like spot-track editing? Sometimes i see noise only in it.

    • @sergiofilmmaker94
      @sergiofilmmaker94  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you have really good eyesight! Yes i did only because my shot was a little out of focus and wanted to sharpen the eyes a little bit.

    2:24 is not 2,5k ?

    • @sergiofilmmaker94
      @sergiofilmmaker94  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No its not. its the Blackmagic pocket 4k with a anamorphic lens. for that shot the light used on her was not as strong because the battery was low.
