Man! Making a stop motion feature takes centuries! Major props to everyone at Aardman for having the patience and passion to make their beloved masterpieces! Short films, specials, advertisements, feature-length films, etc! Cracking job, lads! 😊
I remember watching this teaser that is shown on the Shark Tale DVD. In the loving memory of Peter Sallis 1921 - 2017 "It’s a veritable vegetable paradise." 1:15
This film was not produced by DreamWorks Animation, but was released by them. The same thing happened to Chicken Run too, and coincidentally, they are both Aardman-produced films using their stop-motion animation.
In early Fall 2005 in Los Angeles-San Fernando Valley, when I was 8 years old in the 3rd grade moving to another elementary school, Wallace and Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit was my first DreamWorks animated family-kids film aimed at small young little kids that I actually enjoyed seeing in theaters and after I enjoyed seeing the film in theaters, I liked it as an 8 year old child when the film was released
The tester was used in: Lavender the small clown: the pumpkin prince in the farm (DVD/VHS) (2/2/04) Paramount plus toons: a little snake problem (DVD/VHS) (3/11/04)
Actually Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit was released in theaters October 7, 2005 and it’s Rated G with this film the last DreamWorks film to use that rating.
2:42 Announcer: You'll go crackers for the invented world of Wallace and Gromit. Only in theaters, October 2005! Wallace: Job well done, lad! Ho-ho! (shuts the door)

Kinda crazy how they almost spoiled that Wallace is the were-rabbit in this behind the scenes teaser At 1:15 they show scene of Wallace hopping like a bunny when in the vegetable garden

Different licensing strategies for that. Largely handled by DreamWorks for that one. Aardman has more control of the rest of the Wallace & Gromit stuff.

This impressive film took about 5 years to be precise and production started in 2003 and later went on to win an Academy Award in 2006.
Aardman and DreamWorks work on this just after 2 days just before chicken run was release.
They deserve that award after all that hard work!
A masterpiece like this takes ALOT of patience to complete 👏👏👏
