As a COD player that has been playing since COD4, watching this gameplay makes me depressed, what has this amazing, simple, semi-realistic game come to? We've gone from crawling through fields in Pripyat in a ghillie suit, to jumping 30 feet in the air on a spaceship. I know times change, but I can guarantee that games like Battlefield and CS will never turn into this. Why not let the futuristic games like Overwatch and Doom do their things and keep COD as COD!

One thing that I think should go into "Ugly" is being able to switch rigs in the middle of the game. Imagine playing Black Ops 3, seeing they have only one Ruin, and he uses Overdrive. You come up to him in a fight later then he just throws down Gravity Spikes out of nowhere because he wanted to switch stuff on you. I can imagine it being even worse because there are no telltale signs of traits, so they pretty much get to switch things all the time so you can't get a grasp on who's playing with what or how to counter them, because by the time you switch your rig to counter theirs, they can just switch and nullify that.
I think the problem there is only a small percentage of players put that much thought into the game. so being able to switch rigs won't make too much of a difference overall

It is just lazy and unsecure design in my opinion. It shows how little courage the CoD-devs have... yes, energy-weapons print their own amo and have different reload-animations but in the end these differences are nothing interesting or special enough to justify their existence. In the end you you are not able to differentiate these 2 weaopn-classes in terms of gameplay so why did they even implemented a second weapon-class?
I wouldn't judge the game until you actually play it. Hating on something before it's been able to prove itself is wrong. Get the game in November and then see if you like it or wait until friends, etc, have played it and judge then.
Just being honest, I'd rather have a full on future game than a boring alternate reality augmented human android war thing like AW and BO3. If it's going to be more futuristic I want the fun stuff, not the scary controversial stuff.

It felt like an actual, gritty military experience with mechanics that made sense, while still having the fun stand-out outfits in multiplayer. It felt quite immersive and cool to play, not too futuristic and not too real at the same time. But I get what you mean.
Basically imo. Campaign looks like one of the most stunning and most exciting campaigns ever made for a CoD game. But for MP, just looks like a BO3 reskin with pew pew lazers. And some new maps and guns. Zombies sounds like it's gonna be fun. But it's all on the campaign and MWR-MP for me. Wbu guys?
For me I think the campaign looks great, the mp looks good to me I love bo3 so I don't mind the same but tweaked movement BTW the energy weapons act like the ballistic weapons so there basically the same and the zombies looks really fun. The mwr looks amazing. I can't wait to get the full package.

supply drops wont go away, I don't like them but its not a major issue for me, black ops 3 supply drop guns were balanced well and nothing super powerful that made it pay 2 win although the marshalls can be really annoying, the problem for me is the futuristic setting and advanced movements, im old school and would love to see a ww2 shooter. id be really hyped for that.

Come on Drift0r... 3 lane maps + Advanced Movement like the ones from BO3 give you a serious chances for major spawn trapping and that's something that's a serious problem that still hadn't been fixed in BO3. Ghosts did have a poor map design but 3 lane designed maps don't work. I was hoping they'd be more like maps from MW2/MW3
9:44 Is a perfect example. You started the round and within 10 seconds an enemy had gotten from his spawn to your flag. Small maps, 3lane design, and Advanced Movement is possibly the most irritating thing. It's 100× worse than weapon variants.
i like the idea of the small maps, it doesnt promote camping corners to win and keeps you busy and into the game. you just need teammates, or better yet, friends that know how to hold down the lanes and protect your spawn
This was played on Lan right? I hope that IW decreases the in game lag in the final build. 120+ ms lag is unacceptable for a triple A Fps title in 2016.

You hit stuff, you craft stuff, you build stuff and you eat stuff. Those are the only four things you have to worry learn (simplicity), but you can use them to do a plethora of activities, giving the game depth.

The future setting and advanced movement was literally the first thing they thought about when the game began development in 2013. The community wanted something different for years at that time.
Team3AM And the community never said what they wanted so Activision(or the developers) decided to go with what was popular and profitable at the time, 3-D movement(notably TitanFall). The community asked for a change but I didn't see a single person suggest anything. Three years later, only now do I see suggestions.

"The multiplayer maps play very well" Come on man. Seriously... did you even play this game? These are among the worst maps in any FPS. There are way too many interconnecting corridors, and you have no idea where you're going to get shot from. 90% of the game is a guy suddenly whipping around a corner and shooting you in the back. There's only two types of terrain: Corridors and medium sized rooms that always have a jumpable object in the middle. The maps are nothing but low-skill chaos.
What I find hilarious about the futuristic setting is that they increase the skill gap by adding boost jumping etc. but then they add specialists and increase the aim assist to reduce the skill gap.
When you play on console, aim assist holds all the bullets in a tight cone towards targets; PC however, with no assist, you really feel the recoil, take my word for it... there is still recoil XD

Hey Drift0r, not sure if you're reading this, but there is a major problem with Black Ops 3. If an enemy bot is running around a corner and I shoot them, they turn back around and I kill them. Is it just me, or am I the only one who would run with my tail between my legs if I got shot? Please do a video on BO3 not AI so I understand this issue.

I played Infinite Warfare today at the EBExpo and I have to say... it is absolutely amazing. I was shocked at how much fun i had and how good i felt playing it
Rin, yes it does. It allows for a versatile player to be more formidable when they can boost and turn on you or come from another angle while your head glitching. Being able to chain movements and get the advantage on an opponent does take more skill than a linear game where there are only so many routes you can take. The fact you can be killed in so many more ways makes it harder.

Just being honest, I'd rather have a full on future game than a boring alternate reality augmented human android war thing like AW and BO3. If it's going to be more futuristic I want the fun stuff, not the scary controversial stuff.
***** AW and BO3 were too big of a change but not enough of a change to be interesting. It was just a mechanized future full of augmented humans instead of a future of space travel and lasers. The latter is a lot more interesting.

I agree with you on the Black Ops 3 part but honestly, Advanced Warfare's future setting was perfect for me. It felt like an actual, gritty military experience with mechanics that made sense, while still having the fun stand-out outfits in multiplayer. It felt quite immersive and cool to play, not too futuristic and not too real at the same time. But I get what you mean.
Basically imo. Campaign looks like one of the most stunning and most exciting campaigns ever made for a CoD game. But for MP, just looks like a BO3 reskin with pew pew lazers. And some new maps and guns. Zombies sounds like it's gonna be fun. But it's all on the campaign and MWR-MP for me. Wbu guys?

For me I think the campaign looks great, the mp looks good to me I love bo3 so I don't mind the same but tweaked movement BTW the energy weapons act like the ballistic weapons so there basically the same and the zombies looks really fun. The mwr looks amazing. I can't wait to get the full package.
Bo3 campaign looked amazing but it was a disappointment cause I think Jason quit the campaign for zombies(I'm not sure if he did both or not in bo3), ghosts campaign was very cheesy with the villain so I hope new people are working on this campaign.

supply drops wont go away, I don't like them but its not a major issue for me, black ops 3 supply drop guns were balanced well and nothing super powerful that made it pay 2 win although the marshalls can be really annoying, the problem for me is the futuristic setting and advanced movements, im old school and would love to see a ww2 shooter. id be really hyped for that.

Oh no! Come on Drift0r... 3 lane maps + Advanced Movement like the ones from BO3 give you a serious chances for major spawn trapping and that's something that's a serious problem that still hadn't been fixed in BO3.
Ghosts did have a poor map design but 3 lane designed maps don't work. I was hoping they'd be more like maps from MW2/MW3
9:44 Is a perfect example. You started the round and within 10 seconds an enemy had gotten from his spawn to your flag. Small maps, 3lane design, and Advanced Movement is possibly the most irritating thing. It's 100× worse than weapon variants.
i like the idea of the small maps, it doesnt promote camping corners to win and keeps you busy and into the game. you just need teammates, or better yet, friends that know how to hold down the lanes and protect your spawn

OG3 Wolfy Yeah, I think simplicity is good for games. IMO the tell of a great game is one that has a ton of _depth_ while also being simple. I think that's why Minecraft is so successful. You hit stuff, you craft stuff, you build stuff and you eat stuff. Those are the only four things you have to worry learn (simplicity), but you can use them to do a plethora of activities, giving the game depth.

The future setting and advanced movement was literally the first thing they thought about when the game began development in 2013. The community wanted something different for years at that time.

These are among the worst maps in any FPS. There are way too many interconnecting corridors, and you have no idea where you're going to get shot from. 90% of the game is a guy suddenly whipping around a corner and shooting you in the back. There's only two types of terrain: Corridors and medium sized rooms that always have a jumpable object in the middle. The maps are nothing but low-skill chaos.

What I find hilarious about the futuristic setting is that they increase the skill gap by adding boost jumping etc. but then they add specialists and increase the aim assist to reduce the skill gap.

When you play on console, aim assist holds all the bullets in a tight cone towards targets; PC however, with no assist, you really feel the recoil, take my word for it... there is still recoil XD

Hey Drift0r, not sure if you're reading this, but there is a major problem with Black Ops 3. If an enemy bot is running around a corner and I shoot them, they turn back around and I kill them. Is it just me, or am I the only one who would run with my tail between my legs if I got shot? Please do a video on BO3 not AI so I understand this issue.

I've noticed a few times in videos and can't quite figure it out. Why do you keep referring to MWR as a pre-order bonus when it's something you need to get the more advanced versions for? I plan on getting one of those for it but it's still misleading to make it sound like any pre-order comes with MWR.
I played Infinite Warfare today at the EBExpo and I have to say... it is absolutely amazing. I was shocked at how much fun i had and how good i felt playing it

Rin, yes it does. It allows for a versatile player to be more formidable when they can boost and turn on you or come from another angle while your head glitching.
Being able to chain movements and get the advantage on an opponent does take more skill than a linear game where there are only so many routes you can take.
The fact you can be killed in so many more ways makes it harder.
I like the health bar, the call outs, how it shows which position the enemy are shooting at on the map and the way we throw grenades
