I am so pleased for you. I am a 64 year old Brit, did two long trips in Turkey this year, on a rented scooter. Nothing planned, total of 4 weeks covering 2,600 kilometers. Met the most wonderful, caring, friendly and compassionate people possible. Reminded me of previous trips to Turkey and Egypt. Having travelled a lot around the world (including a month in California), it is the Muslim countries that bring me warm memories. Curious of their societies and many sincere talks with Muslims I met, I have now ordered and received an Arabic / English Quran. I am now going to read and study this with an open heart.
Here’s a small piece of advice from someone you don’t know but who truly wants the best for you. I genuinely have no doubt in my heart about this. When you read the Quran, ask Allah for help in understanding it. That’s all. If there’s no one around you, just say to Him, 'Help me understand.' He is always listening to you. You can say it out loud or silently in your heart. Just keep this in mind. 🙂

Surah al fatihah was what convinced me to revert to Islam too. I knew then that Islam was the right religion. However, I couldn't revert at that time. I was on the fence about actually reverting because I knew that reverting meant that my whole life would change. At that time, I was already married w/2kids. Long story short, I reverted a few weeks after that. My Muslim friend asked me "If you were to die tomorrow, would you want to die Christian or Muslim?" Of course, I said "Muslim." I said shahada at the following Jummah. I struggle being Muslim; but, it is still the best decision I have ever made and inshaAllah, I'll die a Muslimah.
I am very happy for you! After I converted 13 years ago I felt that every steps I took in my life was to bring me to Islam and all the questions I had were answered by Islam! Almost every day I see videos of new converts online… thank you for sharing your journey 🥰

Alhumdulillah the beauty of Islam is that you don't need a middleman to connect to God. You just pray to him directly and he shows you the right path. I have experienced it myself many many times over the years. It is a peaceful feeling indeed!

Very beautiful revert story. One imam told my imam at my masjid that he recieves minimum 10 new reverts everyday in his masjid in some city in UK. So yeah people are finding the truth. ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ, al-Ḥamdu lillāh.
That's hard to believe. Or that mosque is very unusual. If that rate of conversion were normal, with 1500 mosques in the UK, that would amount to well over 5 million converts a year. That's a yearly rate of new Muslims greater than the current UK Muslim population (3.87 million). So, no, 10 a day in 1 mosque is unlikely.

Because you already knew this prayer within your heart. And, you knew the simple truths about God even before reading God's words in the Quran. I believe that is because those truths are pre-programmed into every human soul by God. So, hearing that you spoke these truths in your daily communions with God, moved me very deeply. It’s so important for us to encourage our kids to read the Quran from an early age. It can provide them with guidance and wisdom that they might not find elsewhere. Let’s be mindful of the literature our children are exposed to in schools, as some of it can be quite corrupting. The verse that most made me accept Islam is: "Surely the believers and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians - whichever party from among these truly believes in Allah and the last day and does good deeds - shall have their reward with their Lord and no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve." (Ch.2: V.62) I never understood why any religion would condemn someone who is a good person and truly believes in God. This was my belief for many years growing up Christian in the US so when I finally saw it in the Koran as an adult, I felt like God was directly speaking to me personally.

Wow, at around 5:20, you have to hear what she says! It’s incredible how reading the Quran provided her with answers to the questions she pondered at just 7 years old. Subhan Allah! Truly inspiring!
It’s so important for us to encourage our kids to read the Quran from an early age. It can provide them with guidance and wisdom that they might not find elsewhere. Let’s be mindful of the literature our children are exposed to in schools, as some of it can be quite corrupting. Let’s empower them with knowledge and values that will shape their character positively!

The verse that most made me accept Islam is:
"Surely the believers and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians - whichever party from among these truly believes in Allah and the last day and does good deeds - shall have their reward with their Lord and no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve." (Ch.2: V.62)
I never understood why any religion would condemn someone who is a good person and truly believes in God.
This was my belief for many years growing up Christian in the US so when I finally saw it in the Koran as an adult, I felt like God was directly speaking to me personally.
