Gday, your doing a great job, making do with what you have is sometimes a good thing, it goes to show you don’t need every tool known to mankind, great job mate, Cheers
Thanks, Matty. One thing that's nice about having a work shop. Sometimes you can use a tool for something it wasn't intended, or better yet, sometimes I can make it. Nothing more satisfying to me.
Oh god, I’m never ever going to open this power feed so that I do not need to reassemble it 😂. I’ll just modify the bridgeport with precision ground ball screw and add servos to make it into a CNC/power feed.
Darn,,got behind on the BP resto,,but like life has thrown curves with brides pending Back Surgery,, so don't give up on me, be going back to make positive comments and hit the like button after shes back home, Thx care, ole bear from Tx.
Nice job bud, you are doing like all of us do, making due with what you have! Bottom line is you got it done, hopefully with minimum blood loss and colorful language. Lol 😂. What was the book you were referencing in the background?? Had a nice blown up view of the power feed.
Appreciate the compliment. This one has been a mystery - I haven't seen anyone else do a video on how to take these apart or put them back together. I had to figure it out as best I could. That book is a Bridgeport parts catalog from High Quality Tools. They gave it to me the first time I visited the store. Just so happens to have exploded parts diagrams of the machine and the power feeds.
@@MyLilMule I just checked out high quality tools, it’s a great source for parts. Thank you. I will definitely use them. I’ve been using H&W machine tool they are also a great source and if you have any questions they are very knowledgeable and willing to help. Thanks again. 😬👍
@@wheels2199 @Wheels 2 @H&W Machine Repair and Rebuilding is definitely a place I get parts from. They sell everything that HQT does (they are even the same part numbers) but H&W has some specialty bundles, plus, all the videos they have produced on TH-cam, they have earned my business. HQT is 15 minutes from my house. I use them when I'm in a pinch and need something quick or it's small and the shipping would cost too much.
Another exceptional video walking through the assembly process. Thank you for this resource!
You bet. Thanks for watching.
I think it doesn't matter what method or tools you use. If it works, it works.

I wouldn't mind one day trying CNC machines, but for now, I prefer the manual process. But yes, this power feed is not one to trifle with.

Hope her surgery goes as planned and better.
