I love this. One of my best friends was a criminal defense lawyer who I served in the Army with. We used to have great drinking sessions where he would entertain with lawyer stories. Saul Goodman reminds me so much of him. Quick witted, a hustler and wheeler-dealer, infamous around the local courts. He talked me into letting him represent me on a speeding ticket in traffic court. The first thing that he did was talk to the bailiff to get my case pulled first. Then, when I was called and he appeared, the judge started snickering. He knew he was going to be entertained. BTW, he got me off with a warning. Sadly, he passed away a couple years ago due to cancer. A big loss to the courts.
I love Saul, but I always hated that line. It sounds like something a 6th grader would say and even then everyone would roll eyes feeling like "wow that one was creative"

Seriously, one of the best reasons to watch Breaking Bad: Saul Goodman! Love that bit at the end where we see that despite the cheesy commercials and his shady methods of acquiring new clients, he is sharp as a tack and a force to be reckoned with!
You'll love Better Call Saul even more then. Incredible spin-off by the same director that truly shows his brilliance as an actor. I dare to say the show is even better than Breaking Bad. Highly recommend!
Yeah, that threw hank off, which was great. He was used to being the bully who always had the power to get under the skin of anyone in his world, and it didn't even phase Saul, who threw it right back in his face and immediately got down to "brass tax' without missing a beat.

Saul Goodmans first appearance in Breaking Bad was in the episode “Better Call Saul.” Walt and Jesses first appearance in Better Call Saul was in the episode “Breaking Bad.”
I like how the interaction between Saul and Hank doesn’t sound like the first time they’ve ever met. Usually when there’s a spin-off series, there’s inconsistency’s. Where certain characters should already know each other. This clip sounds like they’ve interacted before. That’s why Saul knew Hank was DEA straight away.
This is an example of perfect character development. From the first scene, Gilligan and odenkirk reveal a real, dynamic PERSON whom we recognize so much about instantly. Saul Goodman comes to life in front of our faces and we can’t help but think of all the people we’ve met in our lives who remind us of this character. 01:25 It's interesting that Saul casually mentions a transpositional error while going through the paperwork. In Better Call Saul this was a huge storyline that was the focus of a public feud between Saul and his brother Chuck when he still went by the name Jimmy McGill. But in this scene of Breaking Bad the transpositional error is no big deal.
The error in BCS was in a document that was probably public record and would need to be corrected via the court. These seem to be Saul's notes, so it wouldn't matter. Funny enough, when he talks with Oakley, Jimmy berates Oakley for mixing up clients, something that doesn't seem to bother Saul anymore.
