      Mack McCordTM sorry buddy abit slow with the response been away, unfortunately i no longer own the model D had to sale for life shit situations really was unhappy about that but what can one do but as far as i can remember its fairly staright forward you have to go in the mod section above the mod and pitch wheel area and use the switch that allows you to use the filter env to mod the pitch thats where the magic happens plus this turtorial is great to use hope that helps?

    • @DS-ru8gd

    does somebody with a moog wanna make a folder with various 808’s for me :) I always wondered how Mike Dean got the 808’s in “The Pines” by 070 shake and I can Tell by Travis Scott. Probably my favorite 808 sound. The attack and body is so thick and impactful!

      Sounds to me like that's layered with an actual kick sound. Filter's a bit more open than in this tutorial as well, you can hear more of the osc than just sub bass.

    I have been looking at buying a moog for a little bit. Do you think I could make an 808 like this on the voyager? And do you reccomend the Sub 37? My main use would be bass but I would like to use it like a normal synth too.

    Look at all of your video, that's great, I also have a prophet 6 and moog sub 37. I've been working on wobble bass lately, but it's not nice, I think you know how to do it, can you teach us how to make a wobble bass with moog sub 37? Thank you very much.

    • @j3po784
      @j3po784  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yo! Thanks for checking out the vids. What kind of wobble bass are you looking for? Generally you can't get too sophisticated with "wobbling" on these simpler, pure analog synths. You can do some simple wobbling with the LFOs and/or manually messing with the cut-off (which I do on a lot of gigs). However, for more in depth wobbling a la dub-step, EDM, etc I use Serum and Massive on the computer. If you're interested in doing this stuff on the analog synths though, another option would be to hook them up to your DAW via MIDI and then you could program a bunch of LFOs that would get you closer to the contemporary sound!

    • @CYIRUI
      @CYIRUI 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the last one is right for me. Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, dub-step wobble bass, very roar kind of voice, Can Moog sub 37 do this?thank you!

    Funny how we call it “that classic 808 bass sound.”
    808s didn’t bend or do pitch drops.
    Better to call it the “modern 808 bass sound 🙂”
