Xinjiang cotton is renowned for its super quality and competitive price! That is why the US placed sanction on Xinjiang cotton in order to protect US produced cotton!
@@TobysTakeaway that's one of the reasons. They also placed sanctions on the solar panels made there. Cotton production from Xinjiang accounts for 80% of total production in China. So us real reason is to damage Xinjiang's overall economy which could greatly impact local people's lives.
Cotton is only part of the reasons. Another major reason is because Xinjiang is the BRI corridor connecting to Central Asia and Europe. Xinjiang also has a lot of natural resources that are vital to China's economy. Instigating unrest there will compromise all these. So yes, pure evil.
Everyone is a forced Labour. If I dont work, my boss wont pay me salary. Is US operating on a different mode, where no one is forced to work yet gets their salary?

Good video - thanks for showing the world what Xinjiang's cotton is like. If I may offer one suggestion - try to back-translate the Chinese subtitles whatever software auto-translated for you before release, as "dyes" was misunderstood as "dies" and then mis-translated as "deaths" or "kills" by the software. This may cause significant misunderstandings among non-English speakers.
Xinjiang use machine to collect cottons long time ago, even those human hand pick ones are very high paid jobs, highest quality to pick. Many people in the world never know these. The media only plays politics.
@@TobysTakeaway You didn't realize a majority part of this video is mirrored? For instance, 0:14 is correct. But 0:46 the image is mirrored (the Chinese chars on the back are reversed). You can simply check your hair's direction to find out.

Do you think that is the real reason? Certainly good quality, I was surprised by the different colours. They take it seriously and do a lot of R&D.

My pleasure, was the first time i had heard of that as well!

Nothing artificial is nearly as good as the natural. And, noting natural can achieve nearly as good color consistency as artificial dyes.
