Long time viewer, Alpine White 82k mile 1M owner purchased this year up here in BC Canada (#154 of 220 for Canada). A few points 1) I also find it too quiet so I often drive with the windows slightly open. 2) White may not be the quintessential 1M color but many I talk to would not want an orange car. Like you said you can't go wrong with any color 1M. 3) The M button sharpens the throttle map and this makes the engine more responsive. (Overboost is active with or without the M button). I only use it at autox/track. I also run no traction control because I find TC and MDM modes are too intrusive. Bonus tip: If you plan on tracking a 1M the stock brakes will not hold up (much like M3/M4). I got a local deal on used front and rear set of AP brakes from e9x m3 and they are glorious. I like that e9x brakes, suspension, wheels all fit the 1M. The 1M is not the fastest car but it has plenty of character and is exciting to drive. One drive and I was hooked. Lots to like!
Nice review, I purchased one in October of '19 after driving the M2 Competition car. I knew the right move was to purchase the 1M, glad I did. I paid a premium but happy to do so. I, like you, feel the values will go up. Enjoy it in good health... PS you should bring the car to the Carlisle Import Nationals in Carlisle, PA in May. We can take some pics of the cars together...
i dont agree with getting one with every option. The option that would show its age quickest is the sat nav unit. The electric seats end up being a higher seating position than the manual ones too...
I remember when these first came out I thought it was over priced compared to the 135i I thought you were stupid to pay the extra cost. As years passed by seeing both cars used value i realised I was the stupid one lol
I found one here in my country ( we are not allowed to import old cars) the guy wants 54k$ it is stock w/23k miles (37k km) but that is beyond me stretching my budget and those things are rare as is, let alone stock. IDK what to do honestly any advice about the fish in the sea.
2nd owner, bought it with 4k miles form a manager at bmw here apparently always was maintained at the dealer. Issue is he lives abroad and drives it rarely and any car especially sporty kinda goes to shit sitting around the year.

Great comment. Yes lots of e9x parts on the 1M
Taking notes 📝
Having a 135 makes me believe this car is an absolute monster. One day I would love to have one
It is and you will
Exhaust tone is perfect
What exhaust setup is that ?
N55 midpipe and Borla Attack mufflers
Looks great, Glenn
thanks Glenn
Great video man. Here in the UK I'm considering buying one of these next year. I have to sell my Porsche 968 & Mitsubishi EVO 8 first though.
Hmm, great cars but the 1M is so worth it
DUDE, your bargaining skills must be so amazing and. Of course you think it’s going up in value since you bought one.
I sold this car about 2 years ago, it did go way up in value. I miss it though.
Great car, looks like it’s holding up well. A great investment
Oh yeah

Nice, congrats on the car. I used to good to Carlisle for the Corvette show (when i had vettes)

Hi Glenn nice video. Looks pretty fast. Is it faster then the S2000
Yes it is, but S2000 feels faster that it is with the top down
@@GlennsCarCollection Yeah im sure it does for sure.
Glenn, since you’ve had so many M cars...Can you rank them from favorite to least favorite?
I think I will do that in an upcoming video
Love this car
oh yeah
Wait a minute ! doesn't the e90 have the N54 engine , which is turbo based ? referring to your e90 m3 with you saying it is naturally aspirated.
The E90/E92 do not have the N54 engine, the 1 Series M does. The E90/92 M3 use the s65 engine which is a normally aspirate V8
Any comments on the offset seats?
that's the M2 not the 1M
Good luck with sale!!
Thanks
In Finland used price range is 75-90k$
Wow, they are probably even more rare there
It shows sold on your website
Oh, my webmaster marked the wrong car. I will tell him. thanks for letting me know

ha ha, great comment. Who knew ?
Glenns Car Collection oh well you made the right choice haha

true cars are not made to sit
you can tune a 135 to make it perform like a 1M
Which country? 54k USD?
@@GlennsCarCollection so ur saying buy a 135i and get 1m suspension and LSD?
sadly all the 1 series here are auto.
why do you rate this over the e46 m3?
Great question. Comparison test coming soon
How many bmws do you have?
i have had 7
With all the plastics in the engine i'd get rid at 10 years, which I see is what you also think
i still have mine
I also have an 1M in Valencia Orange... I use it very little to keep its value. Currently it has less than 3000 miles... it’s just a garage queen 😂
Very nice!
A lot of carbon inside those tail pipes, my diesel BMW is clean of carbon so I wonder if your car is running well
nothing wrong with colour of the tailpipes, completely normal for most cars.
I bought a 135i and the thing pulls like a freight train. Last great Bmw!
Awesome, congrats
Quagmire?
Me lol lll I’ll
What ever happened to it?
I sold it in 2021. The money went towards the R8
@@GlennsCarCollection Nice.
