Hello guys.
As you know Nitrous system has been big part of some Racing Games, especially EA titles like NFS and Burnout. I decided to show you some other Racing Games like Flatout (which has been big part of my childhood), Blur, The Crew and others. Turbo system from Hot Pursuit is totally unbeatable in general. The set up and the sound effect, goosebumps everytime.

The only nitrous that makes me scared is NFS Prostreet.
The screen shakes so much that it actually felt like you are going in high speed
Means that this game have a really good sense of speed then
Agreed I’m always terrified in pro street when I lose control of my car
Plus if you aren't careful in some corners or especially if you're trying to keep your car in control while driving at high speeds, you could literally wreck yourself.
We need more games that matches the sense of speed of Pro Street.

it's blur that's insanely underrated, it is truly the underdog of all racing games but not many people bothered to get good at it
it's an infinite amount of fun if you have friends to play with and the career on hard is an adrenaline rush
Gran Turismo 4 and 6 have a more realistic approach to Nitrous. No blue flame shooting out of the exhaust or anything, but you hold down whatever button you had mapped for nitrous and you would definitely feel an increase in power, depending on how strong you have your nitrous set in the tuning menu. I believe there’s a faint hissing sound effect used for it as well.
And NFS shift series
It's a great attention to detail for a realistic racing game. Hopefully we can see more of that down the road.

Although it hasn't featured in this video, Battle Gear 4 Tuned(2006 Taito/Arcade) has very unique Nitrous system called Overtake Switch.
It can be used when you tune up your car's engine up to Lv.3.
If your car has NA engine, 3 bottles of NOS will be added, and if your car has turbo/supercharger engine, you can boost up your compression rate up to 3 times.
Interesting.

Need for speed nitro had the dopest looking nitrous effect, need for speed rivals was just insanity if you used the turbo, very unpredictable, and Pro street you have to be very careful on how you use it
Rivals is manageable enough with practise and knowing how to mitigate the effect where you need to.
Midnight club LA nitrous felt so satisfying because of its sense of speed and it gave me a feeling like I was driving a car
And I also find the Nitrous in NFS, underground 2 Most Wanted and Carbon very satisfying because of the taillight blooms and sense of speed
Also Blur’s nitrous is just plain badass
Last NFS that had this effect was NFS HP 2010/Remastered. If you don't count NFS No Limits.

Undercover even has taillights blooms too when hitting the nitrous too PS2/Wii only.
nfs mw & prostreet nitrous gave me real sense of speed 👏
I kinda like how NFS Shift and Gran Turismo portrayed nitrous realistically instead of making it brash and insane.

Honestly, U2 nitrous is more dope! I love its injection sound. I always have a goosebumps when I inject a nitrous, seems like I really ride on car and feel like a streetracer! Nice job, homie! Keep it up!
The NOS sound seems also it is taken from 2F2F... I mean after all NFS UG1-2 were really based of 2F2F so I'm not even surprised anymore at this point.

I really like what Ghost did with nos in 2015 and heat. The flame isn't too much but also not too little, and it's not too noisy but the sound is still pretty nice. But the turbo in hot pursuit is perfection. That is some of the best eargasm material out there

You could have added the nitrous from Forza Horizon 2 present Fast and Furious. It's the only Forza game (in this case it's a DLC) that have nitrous.

Yo, i can see you got the black sky bug in burnout 3. To fix it you need to switch to "software renderer" with f9 while the game loads a race. Switch again to hardware while racing

1:24 to fix Burnout 3 black sky just load the race in software mode, and then switch to DirectX or OpenGL

Looks epic, and in real life it's so not like that, No flames or noises plus if you decide to use it without purge you would end up sending a rod in the atmosphere, but damn I grew up on those arcade racing games, matter of fact they fueled my love for cars in the first place

The Run was actually pretty good but it was too short and I wished the game was longer than 2 hours
@@shadowknight9395 Techically we had Challenge Series as continuation and before Multiplayer now just Challenge Series and Story mode sadly. Even weirder when the Challenge Series in NFS Undercover were "DLC."

Believe it or not, Gran Turismo used to have NOS.
GT4, 6, and 7 have NOS or KERS/Overtake on some hybrid race cars, and the latter only on GTSport.
Besides F1 games, 2 games with "nitro as KERS" are Driveclub (P1s and C-X75 iirc - also the MotorStorm buggy has proper nitro) and PCars 3 also lets you hybridize any car to act as boost,
The best nitro in my opinion is NFS Heat , you have to be really careful when you use it, and when I cat careful , I mean it , you go supersonic speeds and the camera zooms out very far , and your probability of hitting an incoming vehicle is 1826286X
I will say NFS PS is better in that area that you are talking about. Not to mention how brutal is if you use it in the Nevada Highway and total yourself.

Agreed. The night time chase while dodging traffic and trying not to flip your car is intense. Pro street is good but in raw gameplay, heat is on another level, even if it doesnt look like it

I think NFS Most Wanted 2012 nitrous flames are closest to real nitrous. The best effects might be Midnight Club and Hot Pursuit 2010/Remastered. CMIIW
I will say NFS The Run had the closest to real life flame. NFS MW 2012's NOS flames look like NFS 2015/Heat which look like a blue trails coming from the exhaust but not flames. Even if it made realistic I'm pretty sure the flame won't be that dark.
Pretty sure rivals had the most realistic exhaust effects from the nitrous, cause the flames occur only when there's a sudden surge in the combustion, the rest are just invisible fumes

I remember 1 time december 24 I got a new fhone Samsung S7 edge that was completetly new and first game I downloaded was... of course The one and only Asphalt 8 and first thing I saw was a yellow bar on top of my phone and I was like: what is that?
And then the game told be to double click on the right side of my phone and what I saw... was amazing it was Nitrous!! And it had levels like one click was normal nitrous that wasn't that strong then there was level 2 that was slow double click that was a bit stronger and then there was level 3 that was PINK like what?? And that was the strongest level and when I saw that nitrous I remembered In 2006 cane out the Nfs carbon and I thought the nitrous was coming out the taillight😂😂 but I quickly realised it was coming out the the exsauthg (sorry for my english im from slovakia)
NOS has become the heart and soul of Racing Games.
Yeah, I still wish we can see more of that. Like with FH2 Fast and Furious expansion when Nos was accessible. I’m still wishing we could have that feature on FH5 for sure.
