    Love your Moonshine Sansevieria! So beautiful. I picked up mine at Kings last Summer. It was the size of yours but without the adorable pups. I saw where a viewer suggested Thelma and Louise for the names of your twins. It made me smile so I gravitated towards those names. Many thanks for this very enjoyable video! 👏🙂🥰

    I use the same clear orchid pots, but have to then put them into a larger heavy container or the plant’s weight causes it to fall over or fall out of its plastic pot. Hard to find enough large ceramic or clay pots with no drainage holes as “ cache pots”.

    Thanks for this. Have many plants that need repotting. Started to use rePot me soil! How about Gemini for naming the twins? The nurse in me still worried about your throat. Warm salt water gargles 2-3 x/day and hot tea with honey.

    I'm also addicted to orchid pots. One of my snake plants was a freebie! Got run over by a forklift in the store. Has some damage so I do want to monitor the roots. It's also growing baby pups and in a huge Terra cotta pot! Yes I've been repotting a lot including my many orchids.

    Loved your video I'm a newbie. Haven't even bought my first plant yet because I'm binge watching videos and taking notes because I literally kill everything. So my question is those clear slotted nursery pots which I love - if I use those can I put that in a plant container even if it doesn't have a hole? thank you - Timberley

    Curious to know if you are aware of some plants that may do better soaking up water from the bottom of the container, like sitting it in water to soak up and then remove. Also how often do you replace soil that may have become compacted at the top from watering for a period of time? Love your videos!!

    Hi, I’m new to plants. I would like to know how do you know if you’re using the right size pot when repotting? Thank you.

  • @Mandi_Hui
    @Mandi_Hui 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I watched a few ways how to remove the pups away from the mother plant. My snake plant is not that large. The pups are smaller so i just cleaned the soil off the roots then cut the pup off as long as they have alot of roots to survive to separate from the mother plant. I didn’t leave it to dry the cutting part i just pot straight away into the soil. Hopefully it be ok and won’t rot on me.

    I have a Starfish Sansevieria that I have propagated pups from before. The two newest pups are not becoming cylindrical. Do you have any idea why they are doing this?

      All my starfish snake plant pups emerge with open leaves. As they mature, they’ll close, resembling the parent plant.

    • @cristidirks7193
      @cristidirks7193 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m assuming mine are reverting. They have had plenty of time to become cylindrical and they definitely aren’t doing that. All the other pups over the years have been fine.

    It would have been far more enjoyable and informative to watch the entire repotting of the plants , not just a couple handfuls of the soil tossed into the pot. Did you tamp it down to make sure there were no air pockets of air? Water it?
