@@JessicaFranco1 I've been flying drones for 10 years but really the focus on smooth video has been over the last 2 years. The best advice I have received from a few sources is to have a plan and visualize the end product before you even go up in the air. That helps with the shot lists and smooth transitions come after some experience but it's really the focus that helps most.
@@evolutionaryTom Well all that practice has definitely paid off; I can tell! Ahh that is really helpful advice. So simple, yet so brilliant! I am going to have to give it another go, and go into flying more intentionally. Appreciate your time and responses! :)
Hi Tom, Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for putting this together. I think I see three bucket diggers loading trucks, but not certain. As you remarked in your narration, this looks like a major time commitment. It will be interesting to see what happens in the context of the value of the purchase order for the work approved by the City.
Happy Thanksgiving, Andrew. I made an error in the video saying it was to be finished by turtle season. I actually read that it is supposed to be done by bird nesting seasong, which is February 1st. Seems like a lot of scoops left to go. -Tom
It’s amazing how all the work done last year was washed away. I see them digging up some of the mangroves, but that’s the only thing keeping the sandbar from moving. They need to plant some mangroves on the outer berm to reduce erosion, otherwise they’ll be back next year disrupting the beach again.

Very upsetting to such a vital Critical Wildife Area.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well, Pedro. This isn't official but the gated community near that beach has a tax that funds the majority of it. The berm was designed to minimize the damage to the homes in that private neighborhood so it benefits them the most.
Awesome drone footage
Thanks for another great video my friend such a vital nursery that lagoon was glad to see there making some progress the last few days
Thank you, Bob. I'm going to try and get an update out every couple of weeks. -Tom
Wow, such incredible drone footage! Very interesting to see the restoration process.
I'm glad you enjoyed the drone footage! It helps capture the scale of the project.
@ curious, how long did it take you to start feeling confident in your drone flying and filming skills? You make it look easy!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your lovely wife, do you know if the state is paying for this, the city or a combination?

Dont no why you would be upset if they dont put the sand back it would all be gone
It's a barrier island. Let nature take its course and stop wasting money.
