As a fan of unambiguous advertising, I must give credit to The Ice Cream Truck. No one has ever seen an ad from them and gone “I wonder which business they’re in”.
My old local ice cream shop was named the "Twistee Cream". Almost as if they had bever heard of Krispee Cream.... We also had one named "Tasty Treat". Just imagine asking a new friend if they wanted to meet you at the Tasty Treat. 😆
I realize it probably isn't practical if even possible but MAN this would have been even better if somehow James just showed up literally driving the Ice Cream truck. At first I almost thought James was going to somehow rent a truck and personally drive the Ice Cream truck to each person's house. Not that this wasn't already fantastic.
I love how "James' Ice Cream Debt" is both incredibly ominious, and COMPLETELY normal for LRR. You can call James many things, but "not a man of his word" is NEVER one of them. P.S. I'm fairly certain now that this is something James knows he can do, this wont be the last time that ice cream truck sees patronage from James.
I'm currently away from my kids for a number of months for work, and hearing Penelope talk made me miss them pretty hard. Also this was a great heartwarming thing to just see LRR relaxing a getting some ice cream. You guys are great.

Even as a Canadian myself (living not far from the LRR crew either) and having been watching their stuff for years so I'm really used to all of them -- Penelope has a very particular blend of "LRRsman", "Canadian" and "actual literal child" that is weird and unfamiliar. Most of that probably because COVID happened over kind of a huge growth spurt for her and my mental image of Penelope is still a much shorter girl in stream highlights or the "prop" baby from commodoreHustle.
"It is now the future" says G, very clearly addressing us from the past. Isn't time just such a wonderful thing. Also Graham a Golden you is just "a you".
Yeah, that bit of dissonance hits hard. Like you hear the off-screen voice and you wonder for a moment who it is before the pieces all click together and it's just "Wait, that's Penelope!"

I think chocolate tacos are just an America thing. I'm from Britain and have been to a lot more seaside towns than I haven't and I don't think I've ever seen a chocolate icecream tacos. Might have seen a couple pop up over the past few years, but that's about it

Man your ice cream trucks in Canada are so clean and fancy. The ice cream trucks in the UK are typically kinda grimy and all the ice cream stickers on the glass are haphazardly arranged like a stereotypical well traveled suitcase. Plus the music is usually some very creepy womp wooing of Pop Goes the Weasel or something and nothing else. NGL there's something kinda charming about the haphazard stickers and the creepy music though... It's also nice to see Penelope.
That was cool of James, and it constantly surprises me how many people are part of LRR.
