Specifically Serge's smile at 10:56. It is heartwarming. And Prof looks like he's enjoying himself. And Kathleen looks super cold or something. :D It does look like a cool band poster.
I thoroughly enjoy the exposition of your adorable daughter running around and being herself against Serge and Brian discussing their experiences in taste. It's quite poetic. You two are raising an adorable kiddo, and it makes me miss when my boy was that young. Thanks for the content.
As I watched this, I decided to 'inhale' while drinking from my coffee cup as per Serge's advice, and it tremendously helped with bringing out the flavors of the coffee. Thank you uncle Sojiro
I really, really enjoyed this. Serge's enthusiasm and positivity are infectious. The Prof was great as always but his insight about how difficult it is to articulate how we perceive flavor in a mutually intelligible fashion was fascinating. Thank you so much for letting us tag along on your tag along. P.S. This goes with out saying, but Penelope is adorable.
I am not a person who particularly enjoys coffee, but I think Serge would probably turn me around on that damn quick. If y'all ever wanted to do a (limited run?) podcast on How to Coffee, I would very much be interested. Also; the cuts at 0:22 with the music are choice, and Unpleasant Landlord Chicanery feels like it should be the name of a punk rock cover band.
You know, I stopped caring about Magic a while back, but not about the people in Magic. Which is why this channel and this video in particular was really nice to watch.
I think this is one the first intellectual discussions of coffee that I could follow and enjoy. I'm hoping that I can find a similar tasting experience in Toronto. It is a pleasure to see the Proff.
This was the first channel I ever clicked the little bell for. Excellent filming and editing from Graham. Masterful Coffee commandering from Serge. Kathleen is wonderful and always, and it's great to see the Prof having a good time. Cheers to us all.
I do love coffee but certainly not as much as Serge does. And every time Serge talks so excitedly about coffee I get super excited and wanna listen to all of it forever. Passionate humans are just the best :D
I have to say, as a result of this video, I've been getting more into coffee. It's brought me in touch with more folks from my community; smart people who are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. It's been a really positive experience and I definitely found a new hobby in coffee. I've gone from only drinking Caffeinated Sugar Milk to also enjoying more complex flavors from time to time. Thanks so much for sharing things like this. =) Thanks for sharing your life with the world.
It’s really amazing that prof looked up to you guys when he was younger. And now you guys all know each other and are friends. Gotta love the magic community
i live for Serge and his passion for coffee. its really nice to see, having grown up with a similar coffee snob as my mother. Serge, if you ever get up north to Anchorage, Alaska, go to Cafe Del Mundo. their coffee is fantastic. if you ever get to Tucson or Phoenix, arizona, try Cartel coffee lab. their coffee is the highest quality i have found in this region of the united states
For everyone who wants to see more Serge, he just started streaming on his own a few days ago. twitch.tv/sergeyager if you want to check it out and throw him a follow. So far it's been vanilla Minecraft (because he recently got re-obsessed with it), but he's said that he'll probably do other stuff eventually.
I love how excited Serge is about coffee, and enthusiastic about everyone just having fun with the experience rather than being all coffee snobby. It's awesome. :)
Thank you so much for this! I discovered Parsonage thanks to you (And I agree, it is the best in town) and now finding out about another pair of really great looking batch brewers is really gonna make my next day off.
Wonderful video, thanks for tagging along, Graham! There's a great tasting documentary called "Somm" that goes into concept of association further. One of the testing sommeliers describes a wine as having notes of "freshly-cut garden hose." I highly recommend it.
Graham "it's finally spring here" as he walks around in his light jacket and I look outside the window at the 5 below with snow still in places here in the deep south of Ontario and mumble lucky freakin bastards under my breath.
DeadnCold oh eff that! I heard "it's been a cold winter" at 25 degrees at the coldest. Green grass all year round, flowers blooming for Christmas, just paradise here.
I personally can't stand coffee in any way but I just love watching these videos. It's so fun to watch someone else experience the joy of something that you don't necessarily understand thank you Serge and Prof and of course Graham and Kathleen😙
Graham, I am gradually coming to love this content more than the actual LRR channel! I love the way these are shot and edited, and the music is great. Please keep posting these, they're wonderful to watch!
Anyone else hear little P curse in the background? Anyone else had to listen to 11:30 again to make sure that’s what they thought they heard? Either way that made my morning 😂
I don't drink coffee, but if Serge writes a book on Coffee I will buy it and read the heck out of it, he's so good at what he does! #Serge'sCoffeeAdventures
I do not drink coffee. I am not a fan of the taste and/or the bitterness, but I probably only ever tried bad coffees and had nothing like what they showed here. Surprisingly, nothing would make me more happier than going on an coffee adventure with Serge and Prof to open up my palate to this brown liquid of the gods.
When is the serge coffee channel coming out? As a barista and coffee enthusiast I like the vocabulary he uses. Next video brewing methods? Hario vs. Chemex vs. Aero vs. Syphon?
I'm definitely a coffee scrub, but the mocha I got when I visited Victoria at Hey Happy was amazing. It was surprisingly fruity and nothing like the chocolatey brew that I'm used to in New Zealand. Looking back I probably should have tried the others too, but I doubt I can make much out of the pourover coffees.
Wow I love Serge talking about coffee made me want to go out and try and find some good coffee to drink, if possible more coffee reviews or talks would be cool. Also Victoria looks like one of the nicest looking cities I have seen in a while, which could be Grahams camera work (which is really nice and crisp)
I don't even like coffee, I just want to see Serge and the Prof hanging out. All I hear is coffee coffee coffee coffee, coffee coffee coooooofffeeeeeeee.
Huh. Prof always struck me as more of a tea guy. But I suppose with all the papers he has to grade in Tolaria you'd naturally gravitate more to coffee.
Fantastic video! It's always cool to see what the people from a hobby you follow are interested in outside of that context. Also, I have to ask: What's the music in this video? Cause that's some good stuff.
Serge is the coffee judge. HE KNOWS ALL THEM RULES! How do you know all about coffee, Serge? (Sorry if i am a bit bad at English, i am from Denmark, and doesnt know all the grammer rules yet.)
I could watch Serge talk about tasting coffee all day. Coffee tasting and scotch tasting aren't very different, in that, there are so many different types, varieties, styles, and as Serge says, taste is subjective. It's totally valid for someone to taste something completely different from someone else when you are getting granular. That said, it's neat that you still have an overall vibe from each roast (or in scotch, a region).
Serge: Coffee coffee coffee
Prof: Coffee coffee coffee coffee
Gram: Herpaderp I’m gram and this is how I talk
Alright fine. It's obvious you guys are having a lot of fun drinking this, and I have no idea what it's about. Will somebody teach me how to drink?
@@MadMontyMN Did somebody say teach me how to drink?
this comment and the first 2 comments made my day, thank you for the throwback :)
I'm jealous ofhow charismatic Serge is. His enthusiasm is infectious. (And has trample)
With Charisma that high, he's definitely a top tier bard. Maybe a sorcerer.
KappaRoss clearly a sorcerer, he is very effective at magic! Clearly a full caster haha
Commander Sausage ... why does everyone for forget the warlock... ☹️
I was considering both Warlock and Paladin, but Serge doesn't strike me as either.
No it has flying so it goes directly to your health points (im an anti flyer soo its funny to me)
10:55 Kathleen, Serge, and Proff look like they're in a music video for three very different bands.
or one excellent superband?
That screenshot makes me happy. :D
Specifically Serge's smile at 10:56. It is heartwarming. And Prof looks like he's enjoying himself. And Kathleen looks super cold or something. :D It does look like a cool band poster.
Serge= level 2 coffee judge
I thoroughly enjoy the exposition of your adorable daughter running around and being herself against Serge and Brian discussing their experiences in taste. It's quite poetic. You two are raising an adorable kiddo, and it makes me miss when my boy was that young. Thanks for the content.
I feel like Serge should have his own coffee show or at least his own coffee tour of Victoria for tourists.
Surge with Serge
He does now!
you're in luck!
I love the ability you fine LRRfolk have to make things I have no personal interest in utterly fascinating
Magicians
with Cards
getting Coffee
You messed up by not saying comedians with cards getting coffee in canada
And on this day, The Professor became the student.
As I watched this, I decided to 'inhale' while drinking from my coffee cup as per Serge's advice, and it tremendously helped with bringing out the flavors of the coffee. Thank you uncle Sojiro
I don't even like or drink coffee, and I'm still fascinated by Serge talking about coffee. That man has a gift.
I love these coffee videos they are really interesting I could listen to serge talk about coffee for hours. Also prof makes it even better
4:34 love Kathleen’s confused ‘no’
Serge is so soothing. Every home should have one. ^^
Oh much does it cost to rent a Serge fora coffee tour?
Well, at the very least it'd be polite for you to pay for the coffee at each shop.
He takes payment in Alpha basics I'm sure.
He takes payments in fastbonds ;) it’s a magic card.
#FastbondtoZero
I am not a person who particularly enjoys coffee, but I think Serge would probably turn me around on that damn quick. If y'all ever wanted to do a (limited run?) podcast on How to Coffee, I would very much be interested.
Also; the cuts at 0:22 with the music are choice, and Unpleasant Landlord Chicanery feels like it should be the name of a punk rock cover band.
Every time I see Penelope, I'm amazed how fast she's growing
I don't even like coffee but I'm still enjoying this
You know, I stopped caring about Magic a while back, but not about the people in Magic. Which is why this channel and this video in particular was really nice to watch.
:)
Serge (paraphrased): This is how your sense of smell works and how to improve that, can you tell the difference
Kathleen: no
Adults: * coffee coffee coffee; unripe apricot; flavor is intangible *
Penelope: NO PUDDLE SHALL GO UNSPLASHED!!!
Not shown: A LOT more puddles
I think this is one the first intellectual discussions of coffee that I could follow and enjoy. I'm hoping that I can find a similar tasting experience in Toronto. It is a pleasure to see the Proff.
This was the first channel I ever clicked the little bell for.
Excellent filming and editing from Graham. Masterful Coffee commandering from Serge. Kathleen is wonderful and always, and it's great to see the Prof having a good time.
Cheers to us all.
Thank you!
penelope is adorable! and I love it when surge nerds out over coffee, I may not drink it but I can appreciate it.
Passionate people talking about things they are passionate about will always fascinate me. As a former barista I love hearing him talk about coffee.
So is this confirmation that Serg is not only a magic judge, but a coffee judge?
I do love coffee but certainly not as much as Serge does. And every time Serge talks so excitedly about coffee I get super excited and wanna listen to all of it forever. Passionate humans are just the best :D
hey graham, from one graham to another I love what you do and keep doing what your doing! :)
It’s finally spring there? Oh how nice! Here in North Carolina we had spring a few weeks ago already, but now it’s snowing again.
Loved the video! I have to say, while I'm not a fan of the Professor while he's in character, I'm loving him in this more casual, relaxed format.
I would bid on a Serge coffee tour as a desert bus item.
I love how enthusiastic Serge is about Coffee, the coffee tour is one I'd love to take part in!
Damn I know I’m late but Graham you make some of the best vlogs I’ve seen on the internet and I could here Serge talk about coffee all day.
Awww the ending warmed up my heart!!
I've never actually drank coffee but I'd love that waffle in the middle. Really great camerawork too!
I love how excited Serge is about coffee, and enthusiastic about everyone just having fun with the experience rather than being all coffee snobby. It's awesome. :)
A Vlog with Brian? Yeees, please! Also it's nice to see Peneolope again, she seems like a great child. Thank you, Graham.
I came here after the Coffee With Serge series, I need more Serge content in my life
Thank you so much for this!
You guys are so chill and pleasant. This was very nice
This was very cool to see, thank you!
Person A: There are no wrong answers
Person B: This coffee tastes like shit!
Person A: There ARE wrong answers.
Love seeing them talking extensively on tastings. I've done tastings like this with beer and it's always really interesting.
Penelope's gotten tall! I still think she's either going to be as tall as Graham, or a kaiju.
Graham, I am gradually coming to love this content more than the actual LRR channel! I love the way these are shot and edited, and the music is great. Please keep posting these, they're wonderful to watch!
This ambient opening, rad work graham
Serge makes me want to like coffee more. He's so passionate about it. Great editing Graham.
Anyone else hear little P curse in the background? Anyone else had to listen to 11:30 again to make sure that’s what they thought they heard? Either way that made my morning 😂
It sure does sound like it, but it's hard to be sure.
It really did sound like that, but I also saw this comment first, so I was primed for it
Haha! I can't quite make out what's she saying, but I assure you it's not what you think it is :)
Graham Stark my son says 'What the FUNNY??' ... he's obviously heard the less cute version somewhere and decided that's what they said. :)
Gem Of Magic I love that
I don't drink coffee, but if Serge writes a book on Coffee I will buy it and read the heck out of it, he's so good at what he does! #Serge'sCoffeeAdventures
Serge is so honestly hype. I'm having a great time riding his vibe. Earnest enthusiasm :)
Serge really needs to start a coffee tour business I'd pay money for Serge to teach me about coffees
Anyone else coming back to these vids because of the Coffee with Serge series?
That was the most hipster video I've ever seen.
I loved it.
Also, I bet the shop loved the free advert.
I can imagine serge starting a side business of paid guided coffee tours specially with how friendly he is
I do not drink coffee. I am not a fan of the taste and/or the bitterness, but I probably only ever tried bad coffees and had nothing like what they showed here. Surprisingly, nothing would make me more happier than going on an coffee adventure with Serge and Prof to open up my palate to this brown liquid of the gods.
These scene transitions and the smooth fps of the walking scenes are aesthetic as hell man.
Damn I wish I could vlog👍🏿
When is the serge coffee channel coming out? As a barista and coffee enthusiast I like the vocabulary he uses. Next video brewing methods? Hario vs. Chemex vs. Aero vs. Syphon?
These vlogs are really helpful as I'm going to UVic next year and am learning all about the local coffee scene. I think I'll need it for University!
4:28 Kathleen’s like, I call BS Serge!
Here was I thinking you guys couldn't become bigger idols for me. Favorite game content and beverage? Hell yeah. Much love from Oregon USA
I would like to subscribe to Serge's coffee newsletter.
I refuse to believe this delightful video was 4 years ago
Kathleen really draws these dudes down to earth.
I think they need that xD
This is all kinds of amazing.
This is one of the greatest things ive watched today. Hahaha
Excited to see this come out now because I'm going to B.C soon!
Honestly i would pay to go on a coffee tour with serge. im a big coffee guy and this sounds like alot of fun
I need to remember to ask Serge for a coffee tour next time I'm in Victoria. Whenever that ends up being.
Love: It's like a not sweet apricot.
Serge's Coffee Tours would be a fun blog. :D
I don't even like coffee, I just want to see Serge and the Prof hanging out. All I hear is coffee coffee coffee coffee, coffee coffee coooooofffeeeeeeee.
Kathleen is my hero in this episode.
Serge's excitement is infectious
I hope to someday be as passionate about something as Serge is about coffee.
8:49 nice!
andi mayer nice
Great video. Wonderful cinematography, accompanying music, and everyone has a great rapport.
How buzzed where you by the end of nine coffees??
Serge should have a show all about coffee. I could lessen to him all day.
Huh. Prof always struck me as more of a tea guy. But I suppose with all the papers he has to grade in Tolaria you'd naturally gravitate more to coffee.
HeraldBFC Time manipulation helps a lot with grading papers.
He's more of a beer and spirits guy, actually. When he used to stream, he'd often showcase whatever he happened to be enjoying.
TeamPhoenixDK iirc he's a barista?
Spring may have appeared in BC, but Ontario is still waiting for it.
YM 'all the rest of Canada is still waiting for it' ;)
Took me a second to realize that was Penelope in the elevator.
castlewise They grow up so fast
4:10 I want to find someone who looks at me the way the professor looks at serge when he talks about coffee
Can we just get a podcast/stream that's just Serge talking about coffee?
I hope for more future coffee adventures!
More adventures with cute lil' Penelope, please!
Seeing the prof hanging out with the moonbase crew is trippy. If I were him I'd be yelling "is this a crossover episode" like mr peanutbutter.
Ah coffee, the different blends, the many ways to brew, the caffeine, the entire culture... if only I liked the taste of it
Hmm, I've been wanting to move out of the UK, and to Canada. It's pretty much a pipedream for me, but that place sounds great.
