I love that Jackie tries these things because even though she doesn't have "nail painting" experience she has such a love for crafting she wants to try everything that interests her! I admire this quality so much! If more people were like Jackie & did the things that made them happy instead of worrying what others would say or think there would be a lot more happiness in the world! Cristine has a white called "not milky white" and she has peely base, which will be much smoother than using liquid latex. She also has her own Liquid Latex which is made to put around your cuticle and the nearby skin to avoid getting polish all over everywhere when you do sponging or something similar.

"my past self is smarter than my future self" I laughed and cried at that line so hard because I felt that. I also had a super glue accident this week which just made it more relatable. My finger actually burned and took 2 days for the pain to go away.
P.S. Yes Cristine does have white polish. It's called Not Milky White. And my favorite nail was easily the Among Us one.

I'm pretty sure the pink peel thing is not to put on the nail. You put it around the nail to avoid mess. The pink thing is usually rubbery /stretchy and that's why you were able to push it off that easily

I just always love to see you just experiment on your own, it's so encouraging to see other people sometimes fail at things too. Although the nail artist in me was screaming ”NO!!” the whole time! 😂 Also a tip for everyone; almost always the small number (what indicates the nail size) is on the free edge of the nail. The smaller the number the smaller nail size! Also to help the nail adhere to the surface youre sticking it on, it can help a lot to buff/file the surface slightly with a nail file. It creates texture on the smooth nail.

tip, try out the fake nails against your own before designing. They have different sizes and you need to match them to your own nails.

That is a wonderful idea if you plan on wearing them after painting the fake nails. I'm sure Jackie did not plan of wearing them so there's no reason for her to worry of the size, the nails are just to sit and look pretty

Tip for gluing fabrics / hair so that they can withstand gravity: soak The shape of it With glue and the way it dries so it will stay~

Wait a minute is that where you put that type of nail polish ? The “peelie” one because I thought it went around the nail to avoid staining I’m also not too familiar with nail polish either

the liquid latex "peelie" goes around the nail. its made so if you happen to be messy and paint your skin you wont need nail polish remover to get rid of it and ruin your polish possibly along the way.
If you want to peel off your nailpolish like jackie (or christine) you need something called a "Peel off base coat"
Like insana said, its so you don't get it on your skin. BUT! Its very smart to use it that way so it can be taken off without nail polish remover - which is why I believe she did it.
You're right. She did it wrong. They make a peel-off base coat, which Cristine often uses, but that's not the same thing that Jackie used.
@@Jelleybean18 I think she did it because she was confused. LOL Yes, it allows you to take off the polish without nail polish remover, but they make a product for that. It's called a peel-off base coat and it's clear. The product that Jackie used is pink, so you can see it under the polish. It's also made of latex, which makes the nail kind lumpy. And it comes off very easily. That's what it's designed to do. So all you have to do is ding your nail on something, and the polish will scratch off.

Hey! Just a lil tip that I use to do with those cheap nails! I would buff the the nail before putting any nail polish on it so that the polish doesn’t just peel off the plastic or so that it doesn’t chip as easily! Prob don’t need to do that sense your not ganna wear these for a long time but I figured if you wanted to keep them then that would help 🤣

I'm wearing the Blue Ain't Slick right now and it's awesome. It shifts from blue to purplish but it really requires the right lighting conditions to capture it.

A note on 'color shift' as I understand it, at least in the states, that specific term to describe paint that changes color by angle was actually trade marked so anyone not under the parent company that has the trade mark has to come up with some other creative name I'm afraid.

Jackie, I use the same fake nails and the glue sticks to skin instantly when in contact with it. But you can rip it off but do it slowly and gently.

Reasons why we love Jackie even WHEN SHES DOING IT WRONG. She STILL puts the nails on backwards. She doesn’t know Cristine has “not milky white”. She uses liquid latex as peely base (Cris has that too) she panics when a small amount of her finger gets stuck to super glue. She doesn’t match the nails to her fingers before designing so they don’t fit. Ohh this and much more is why I just love Jackie. Never be afraid to make mistakes! That’s how ya learn! She just cracks me up!
Ooooh, that's not base coat! That's liquid latex for protecting the edge of your nails when stamping/dab dab dab to make your nails look fab-ING.

That articulated hand has to be based on Robot Devil's hands from "Futurama."
For the plastic-y doll hair, you can manipulate it with a blow dryer. If you hold it in the shape you want, then heat it with the blow dryer it will form the shape. Don't go too close though, cause it can melt. You'll also WILL burn your fingers, so use silicon finger tip protectors...When I make doll wigs, I use fabric glue. It is waaayy easier to work with and it dries faster! Love these nail art vids!!!!

18:03 My sister went to cosmetology school, and she said you’re not suppose to wipe the nail polish on the opening. You’re suppose to kinda take the brush and hit it back and forth inside of the opening. Because if you wipe it off on the top of the opening and the close the nail polish, it’ll seal the brush cap to the bottle when it dries, making the nail polish extremely hard to open

Jackie just a tip . When applying the hair to the nail ,take the shaft of hair and coat the center of the hair with clear glue . Fold the hair in the shape of a horse shoe . Use a paperclip to secure it in place ,and let dry. When dry it will be in the shape of the nail and easy to apply . Good luck hon .x

Zombie hand is great. That could be a whole 5 nails of zombie parts coming out like exodia cards from yugioh
For taking off the excess, I like to go round on circles before pulling out the brush and then scrape on the inner lid like you do with a paint brush. I do find more thin coats of polish dry nicer than thicker coats

Gel can still burn when under the UV light

I think that wetting/heating the hair and shaping it first and letting it "dry" in shape would be the way to go. Maybe around a little plastic mould or something, with a little glue underneath to hold it together.

The pink stuff is liquid latex. That goes around your nail on your skin. So when you do nail art, your skin is protected. Then it peels off easily. What is supposed to be used on your nails is a peel off base coat. That’s why the polish wasn’t smooth, and smeared.
The false nails are upside down lol. The thinner more translucent end goes by the cuticle. The thicker more opaque end is the nail tip.
I feel that Jackie would look awesome with pastel purple hair!
