Thank you! After going through multiple videos your video made sense to me. Not just men putting on belts. With your help this badassmom just put a belt on our exmark 😅
I thought I had a belt problem, it turns out it was a pulley. As I was struggling to get the belt back on, I remembered your video. You were very helpful. Thanks And as for those hater's in the comment section, try to ignore them, there are a lot of envious people who troll.
Great to hear! I am glad this helped you I tried to be as detailed and as real world as possible. As for the haters, I know they are out there and I feel bad for them because their life must be miserable. I don't let them bother me though, just feel bad for them. They do not have anything better or more productive to do with their time than troll people's videos who are taking their time to help others and leave hate and negativity. Poor souls. Take care!
dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend lately xD
You could use the 1/2” hole on the idler arm to take the tension off the spring with a 1/2” breaker bar, it would be much easier and safer to install the belt. 👍🏻
When you pull the yellow button to engage the blades, are you at a fast idle or a low idle? And is it best for the deck to be at the desired cutting height or all the way up?
Yes, you can roll it on like this, strain to pull it and squash your fingers, or you can simply use the provided hole for a 1/2" drive pull bar in the tensioner bracket. Use leverage to take the tension off the belt and just drop it on.
My belt just jumped off as I engaged the PTO. I have less than 100 hours on a Lexmark Radius. It concerns me that the belt came off. There was a loud clunk when it jumped off. I could not turn the drive pulley and assume that is because you would be turning the engine to do that. In your video I think you mentioned that you could turn the drive pulley. In any regards I would like to thank you very much for an outstanding video.
Timely,,my belt snapped today after mowing. Had just one little spot to do. As kicked in the pto nuttin happened. Need to check all the idlers, spindles, tensioners for bad bearings first!
If the belt hoes on with a slight twist in it, how do you fix that? Do you have to take the belt off? If so how do you get the belt off? Or can you get the twist out without taking the belt off? Thanks.
Instead of pulling the tensioner by hand, atleast in some models they provide a square hole on the arm of the tensioner that fits a ratchet so you can privet the pulley that way.
@@KReesethebeast paid 130 including tax today for factory belt ,have used aftermarket with some success for parts for toys in Michigan about 1/3 the price .

My deck has 6 wheels on the deck. I figured this out eventually. Almost identical instructions but my 6 wheel is a bit different than 5 wheels. I had to loosen the bolts attaching the tensioner wheel. I only put one part of the belt through the tensioner connection. Then around wheel at back of mower and returned to other end of the deck.
I have to laugh, you had to pull your ass off to get on hua.we got it, flat side on the flat pulley and the V-groove in the V-pulleys ? Watch those fingers, going to get me a pair of thise gloves, See Ya Texas

Awesome!

You saved me a LOT of trouble when I needed to put the belt back on my mower. Thank you. Exmark was no help at all.
I'm glad this helped you out that was my goal!
Your video was the only one that a guy could see the layout of the belt good job thank you.
Glad this helped you I did my best!
Thanks for the vid! Helped me out in a bind. I used a block of wood to keep the spring open to release the tension on the belt.
Great tip!

Mine is an exmark but different model. Wasn't able to lift the floor so I took the deck off the brackets.your video still helped!
You're welcome!
When you pull the yellow button to engage the blades, are you at a fast idle or a low idle? And is it best for the deck to be at the desired cutting height or all the way up?
Exmark recommends to engage and disengage PTO at half throttle. It is best to do it with deck up so you are not in thick grass trying to get it going.
The tensioner pull through location is what we needed. Next machine won't take a hour of head scratches.
Glad this helped you!
It worked! Your instructions were spot on; thanks!

It ought to straighten out when you engage it and fall into the pulleys and ride the right way
Thank you! Boy you're right about the gloves!
Absolutely!
Awesome video got it on no problem thank you sir!
No problem 👍
Thanks dude. It was very helpful 🙂

I good information to have!
Just about any Exmark does not cover my 50 Quest. Any videos on the Quest drive belt? P.S. Could you make a wooden wedge to handle the tension spring?
Hmm, not sure about that model. I could see a wedge helping for sure.
Ok I'm going out to try and put that new deck belt on........
You got it!
Are you using an aftermarket belt? If so, what's a good source for them?
It is an OEM belt, very expensive. I bought it from a local dealer that sells mowers and stuff.

I thank you for this. But I’m still got something not rite
I just pull the whole tension pulley back and simply put the belt on. Instead of just pulling on the belt
More than one way to skin a cat as they say
You said you were gonna turn your blades on and you didn't do it cause you could still see the pulleys are not turning at the end thank you
I may have forgotten to show that, but I can tell you, several summers later, and she is still cutting fine.
Nice
Thanks!

You never showed the deck belt engaged when you had the engine on 🤦🏻♂️
If there was an issue I would have shown it. Tried to keep vid short as possible.
