Agree with all of this. We close on our house in Tacoma tomorrow! Thanks for providing useful info about Tacoma, it helped tremendously through our home-buying journey.
Agree with most of this. One of the big sell points for Tacoma that I think is appealing to a lot of people is not just what's affordable but what you get for your money. A $700k house in the Seattle area is pretty modest and far out in the burbs where you're still driving 25-45 minutes if you want to get into downtown/queen anne/ballard, etc. Whereas a $700k house in Tacoma is like North End a few blocks from the waterfront and downtown Seattle is somehow still 30-45 minutes away (because Seattle is far from Seattle thanks to traffic). I suspect this will increase now that most companies are vastly opening up remote work options.
Its always pros and cons: I lived in West Seattle for 3 years.... Homeless/Police sirens/ambulance sirens/overcrowded. Better restaurant and store selections. Bought a house in Tacoma I hear crickets every night. *Tacoma has my vote*
Live in Madison, WI most my life. I'm 45. My kiddos are adults now and Seattle, Tacoma is considered a good area for single 40-50s. This is good advice for me. I need to travel to a couple areas that I'm considering. I work in human services, so that will take some research as well.
I would suggest visiting for sure. Come when the weather is great so like May. Won't be too hot or cold and most of the dreary weather is gone. Tacoma will probably feel better, but I suggest visiting.
Dang is that a new shirt it looks CLEAN! Thanks for the videos. My wife and I watched a couple tonight as we're considering the area. Really appreciate you sharing your thoughts on it. And that Discord notification psyched me out, had me trying to figure out where I missed a notification lol.
Appreciate your perspective. We're currently considering moving to Tacoma. I'd still be commuting to Seattle. Do you know anyone who makes that commute? Do they hate their lives?
Noelle did that for a bit. She eventually grew tired of it. Many still do it all the time. Depends on what modes of transportation that you take, but for me in the car would get old quick.
Im a single 28 yeard old male from LA, CA... I want to move to Seattle or Tacoma next year, but i want to make sure i can find a good apartment to rent with car parking, etc... would u recommend seattle or tacoma for this? Also, are there more jobs in Seattle ot Tacoma?
Well the good thing is that transit here is decent. So many live in Tacoma and use the train to get to Seattle. The pay and variety of jobs are going to be Seattle, however Tacoma recently has been leveling up with pay and variety of jobs also. I would say Tacoma to live and maybe Seattle to work.

Congratulations! That is so awesome. You are very welcome and it is good that you got a home here. The value will keep going up!
