The Emperor: What have you done, you idiot?! Magnus the Red: I was trying to save us, Father! Magnus the Red: What have you done, you idiot?! Ahzek Ahriman: I was trying to save us, Father!
really the guy who turned most of his legion into mindless magical robots is more humane! magnus always struck me as one of the more humane primarchs. until his arrogance and Russ's kneejerk hatred pushed him into traitor status and deamonhood at gun point.
Do you even know why in the first place ahzek cast rubric it's bc instead of his useless father he cared for his brothers it's why now he is trying to fix his mistake for 10k yrs @@nonimport-ante
Not being a Tzeench player I didn’t know much about Ahriman, but it seems that even through the machinations of the Changer of Ways and the passage of thousands of years, deep down he really is driven to help his brothers
What's saddier about him is that he planned to be a the best wine maker in the galaxy after the Great Crusade and even has a vineyard on Prospero. It's rumored that the Prospero wine that the Space Wolves had is from his stash.
Oh my god finally my man Ahriman! The best chracter in 40k period! I literally argue with my local Emperor's Children player about if Lucius of Ahriman is stronger. It's Ahriman he can shoot warpflame out of his eyes and teleport into ships with anti warp prayers written on the wall and active gellerfields without a teleport homer. All is dust! For the Crimson King!
Ahriman like his Primarch believes that he is above the control of his patron god, but in truth is a puppet for the amusement for them, and worse is more delusional than his Father in his pursuit of the Black Library.
Not true actually at the end of the Ahriman trilogy Magnus breaks the bonds of fate over him. He is like Raziel from the legacy of kane the only one in the setting out side of fate. It's why even eldar Farseers can't see what he is up to. IE no one can predict the Prodigal sons Inquisition.
I know it's touched on here, but many people forget that during Prospero, many Wolves' had also gone berserk and turned Wulfen, so it's not like Russ could talk of "gene purity". Also, just a cool scene. Wulfen and the Flesh-Changed just going crazy on each other
Thousand sons really lack any ability of self reflection or learning from failures of others. Sad that they knew the need for control and wisdom, but like their genefather they are too blinded by their own arrogance and self-assurance to see their own lack of either virtue.
Got to feel sympathy for Ahriman and the Thousand Sons, if their Primarch hadn't been such a daddydick they would still be loyalists AND chaos would be screwed 😎
I just finished reading the book “A thousand sons” by Graham McNeill and became in the process a huge fan of Magnus, Ahzek and the thousand sons legion and a huge hater of Leman Russ and the furry space wolves legion. Can’t wait to read “Betrayer” by Aaron Demsky- Bowden and have Angron humbling Russ’s barbarian rear with a good beating that only the lord of the red sands can give him.
This guy was so fucking good at kicking ass that not only does change as an actual fucking concept have him as his "champion" so to speak (despite Ahriman working against him corrupted change is so fucking wacked out that it appreciates it) but the last, uncorrupted avatar shard of Magnus who WASN'T an asshole straight up rewrote reality for Ahriman's own fate JUST so tzeentch wouldn't be able to immediately make himself victorious (in his own corrupted definition anyway) in the end. He's chaddy as hell, and whenever he shows up, you can't help but feel kinda sorry for the poor dude for all he's been through.
Oh hey... I have the 5th Ahriman Book (Ahriman: Undying). You know the one that hasn't been released yet. It was on Audible a few months ago for like an hour and I managed to buy it.
Your voice and tone in your recent collab with deadlifts for the dark gods scared the shit out of me😂 I'm so used to your serious stoic tone, so your high pitch uplifting tone caught me off guard
Thats nurgle. The nurgle apothecary in the fabius bile series even comments that such sadness felt by bile would be seen as a great gift from papa nurgle
You should start a company that does 40k style funeral or just be a remembrancer for the person who passed away. I know most of us wouldn’t have much to work on but it would still be hilarious. Shit I’d hire you man!
"You're a wizard, Ahriman!" - Darth Picard of the Stormcloak Rebellion
My brain....it's liquidating...why you do this to meeeeeeeee.
@@BigAndGreen I will absolutely be making this my next Skyrim character
"I'm a what?!" - Ahriman

For fokes saek, Magnus. I'm not a bloody fokin wizard.

Magnus the Red: What have you done, you idiot?!
Ahzek Ahriman: I was trying to save us, Father!
Like grand father like father like son
Ahriman is a living proof that 2nd in command can be much much more humane and interesting than his Primarch.
That's literally the case with all the princes but Angy and Morty the others legit do nothing

Ahriman is by far one of the coolest chaos astartes. Highly recommend reading his omnibus! Spectacular vid!
Kharn.
@Ninja40K He's a total badass but ahriman would probably liquid him

Tzeentch is a nerd and so is anyone who follows him.

The day Ahriman succeeds in his endeavours is the day the fate of the entire setting will be changed. All is dust! Vengeance for Prospero!

finally my favorite character in warhammer thank you lord Remembrancer

The Thousand Sons themselves were actually very disciplined, Magnus was just an unwise fool with no common sense, though.

Honestly, one of my favorite characters in 40k
Always a great time when I've of my favorite 40k scholar posts a new vid!

Do you think Ahriman tells Iskandar and his friends to shush whenever they come into the library?

Compared to the atrocities the average Astartes chapters commit, Arhiman is almost an anti-hero in comparison. Almost.
Seriously, I have never given a fig for the Magic the Gathering Marines, but, man, this was good. Really good. Thanks for the wild ride, Remembrancer.

Many thanx 👍👍
That 30 mins of work made easier. Cheers bro ✌🏻Great Video as always x

Speaks volumes to the current condition and climate of the game.
Another great video! Do you happen to know if there are any books that focus on Malcador? Have they even written a backstory for him?
Personally I enjoyed his characterization in Wolfsbane and The Buried Dagger.
@@TheRemembrancer awesome thank you!

Just Awsome, good Sir, just AWSOME.
Ah Magnus....a smartest dumbdass that ever lived.
Awesome something fun to watch and listen to while I paint the dusty hoard.
What I find most unusual about the warp is that there is no "god" of sadness. How is there not?

Wait. Millions? Not millions of rubric marines, right?
the Imperial truth wasn't a lie, it was a goal. if all had gone to plan it would have become true. Which is why the plan had to be stopped.
So youre telling me thousand sons are persian???
HELL YEAH

IF THE WARP's secrets are infinite doesn't that mean it is unknowable?

They were born on terra in persia/iran
