For what I know, the video is a homage to the film "Shaun of the Dead". Maybe that's why it feels a little familiar? Regarding the video being scary: Bela B., the drummer, said in an interview that he received quite an angry call from his twin sister because of it. Apparently her children wanted to watch the newest video of their uncle and were faced with this... ^^'' As a reaction Die Ärzte created a quite funny cencored version where pop-ups with texts like "Das würde ich meinen Kindern auch nicht zeigen." ("I wouldn't show that to my children either.") are blocking most of the gruesome scenes. Regaring the meaning of the song: It's not really about teenagers/young people loosing their path (Therefore, the zombies are no metaphor, sorry. Most Die Ärzte videos are not related to the meaning of their corresponding songs but are a little random.). It's about conservatism and parents being more concerned about what others (the neighbors) might think than with understanding their child. Or, to be more precise, it's about someone growing up as a Punk (or something equally non-mainstream) and having conservative parents (The song is written from the parents point of view.) - so, it's basically a glimse into the teenage years of Farin who wrote this song.
The initial description of what the music video is about could not be more wrong. 😂 It's about what many young rebellious kids got told by their parents with baseless accusations thrown in, like the "you are all taking drugs." Basically a song about their own youth.
The zombies are just a metaphor of how parents see their kids when they are not as orderly looking as the parents would like to, and thats what the song is about. Cheers
The song is mocking the stereotypical "Spiesser" parents. I think in English you call them fuddy-duddy? The lyrics are basically how such parents talk to their punk children. The zombie video is probably meant to show, how that feels for the punk children.
It is just all fun! The lyrics are very funny. Only the theme of the song is kind of serious. Die Ärzte are a FUN-PUNK-BAND with really funny lyrics . Believe me.

In live versions, they often change the lyrics with even funnier phrases. They did it here.

They recorded the whole album again with joke lyrics
" Jazz ist anders Economy"

In live gigs, they do sometimes change the original sounds

"Die" is a "i" like in Zombie. IE ist only a long "i". EI ist like the i in ice.
And the umlaut "Ä" ist some similar like a "A" in angle.
I think the uncut is rare
Rock am Ring is an big rock Festival in Germany on the Nürburgring
Hallo!!! Im from Brazil.
If you prefer a more chilling not scary track from them, try Schlaflied.
But avoid the lyrics😂
basically the song is saying "look at all those normal and successful people, why can't you be like them?" but they are all zombies (dead inside?)
I'm so sorry for the dogs to see that!
Bien
