Claudia hat nen Schäferhund has nothing to do with Ms. Schiffer. She was completely unknown when the song came out and didn‘t got famous until 1988, that is four years after the song got released.
I remember when she became famous, the boys in my school sang this song because they THEN linked it to her. But originally, of course, it was not linked to her at all.
They also used the media they released on in (I guess) every possible creative way. They had the b-side of their vinyl single "Für immer" ("forever") play forever by having the end of the record's groove loop in itself. Had hidden 0-index tracks on their albums, on their first album you were greeted with "you put on the wrong side" on each side. My favourite kind of prank was not putting the big new hit "Schrei nach Liebe" as the first track of the single. It was the first release after they reunited and the first song people heard when the band finally got together was "Wenn es Abend wird". A bavarian style 'Blasmusik' track with kinda-yodeling. Of course in the later years they released their albums in plush covers, a pizza carton or a board game box. You gotta love them.
The funny part is, that one of their songs that put their second album on the index was played in the youth show Mosquito on national television before it was put on the index (and it is still there about 35 years later). It's called Geschwisterliebe and it's about... let's say: Love between siblings. And they found a loophole for it. They play the song, but don't sing the lyrics. That's the fans part 😛 I still own a double vinyl album of them were they put a extra single in it called Der Flug des Schmetterlings (The flight of the butterfly), a recording of such a concert
Also the Song " Schlaflied" (Lullaby) is very very intresting and cruel. Sound like a lullaby, but the lyrics will be frightend all small kids when they're would hear it while going to sleep...Well, I like it😅 Die Ärzte sind die beste Band der Welt!!! . I'm a fan since their first Album Debil🔞
Oh i love die Ärzte, especially "Junge", "Unrockbar" and "deine Schuld" 😉 The last one has turned into a Motto of mine and many others, "Es ist nicht deine Schuld, das die Welt ist, wie sie ist, es wäre nur deine Schuld, wenn sie so bleibt." meaning it's not your fault, the world is the way it is, but it would be your fault, if it stays that way...
I loved their music in the 1980ies. And in the 2020ies, all my 3 daughters have seen them live at Nova Rock Festival… I confess that I’m quite jealous. 😅😅
I grew up with Die Ärzte and I love them. I have seen them live several times. First time was in 1998 when I was 15. Still today I love them (although I prefere there older songs) and even my children love them and look forward to see them live one day.
I love the more 'mature' Die Ärzte, some of the early songs were quite puerile and often cringeworthy. Nevertheless, Farin Urlaub is a really good lyricist, very intelligent. It's always worth to pay attention. And the stylistic ideas for the music in combination with the lyrics are sometimes absolutly striking. Example: Farin Urlaub (solo) in the song 'Sumisu'. A song about a shy first love and melancholic teenage years, spent listening to equally melancholic bands like The Smiths. And the song mimics the sound and style of a Smiths-song to the t. Genius. There are/were loads of interesting and good German bands with worthwhile German lyrics over the years practically unknown internationally, sometimes even niche and well distinct from the mainstream in Germany. A few examples: Kraftklub Die Sterne Tocotronic Blumfeld Deichkind Last but not least: Einstürzende Neubauten (the most industrial band of all industrial bands that used, apart from the usual bass and guitar, a lot of 'instruments' made from scrap metal and found stuff)
Die Ärzte are really an epic german band! I am listening to them since the late 80s and still do - which incl. that I am old now! ^^+gg As you did Die Ärzte, you have to react to "Die Toten Hosen", too. Thy were also mentionend at the beginning of the video. Thanks for checking out these bands.
I saw them live in like 2004 or 2003 I think and they really did play for about 3 hours and didn't just play their own songs. they played random pop songs from the charts in their own style, played long medleys from their older albums, had long comedy skits and comunicated a lot with the audience. one of the best concerts i've been to ever.
Best band in the world!!! I have soo many good memories from all the concerts im the last 20 years and looking forward to the concerts this summer! Thanks for the reaction! Since die Ärzte work a lot with puns and wordplay, I think it's difficult for a non-German speaker to recognize the genius of this band 😔
My first album was Planet Punk from them. II finally was able to get tickets for their concert 3 years or so ago and then they had to cancel due to covid. :-( I hope I can see them before it’s too late.
Claudia has a shepherd dog, and she does not have it without a reason. Aha! Claudia looks very good. Everybody is anxious for Claudia. Isn't it scurvy that Claudia doesn't let anybody close to her. Claudia has a shepherd dog, and she does not have it without a reason. In the evening it jumps into her bed, and then it swings. Claudia neither likes guys nor is she a lesbian (lesbian). Best of all she likes it with her dog under the dining table. Because Claudia has a shepherd dog, and she does not have it without reason. In the evening it jumps into her bed, and then it swings. Recently Claudia, urgently had to see a doctor, and he advised her to stop it, because she was totally resinified. Claudia has a shepherd dog, and she does not have it without a reason. "13" wasn't their 8th but their 13th album - hence the name. (Given, some of the albums released before didn't contain new songs but were collections of previously released ones or live recordings, but still.) 1. Debil 2. Im Schatten der Ärzte 3. Die Ärzte 4. Ist das alles? - 13 Höhepunkte mit den Ärzten 5. Ab 18 6. Das ist nicht die ganze Wahrheit... 7. Nach uns die Sintflut 8. Die Ärzte früher 9. Die Bestie in Menschengestalt 10. The song "Junge" has an R-Rated version of its music video. The video has a plot of a zombie apocalypse and there are some very gruesome scenes that were blurred and made invisible in the PG-version of the music video. Such a great song and the music video is fun, too (if you like zombies) lol
The most famos songs are "Westerland" (a story of longing for the town of Westerland on the island Sylt) or "Junge" (parents are shocked about their sons way of living). Both very nice melodic songs. th-cam.com/video/tIFFfP87Ooc/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/_xogurSONM0/w-d-xo.html
Not the best video to react to because it focuses more on the band than their songs but I'm glad you liked it. What he failed to mention is that they are not only making different kinds of songs but also in different styles, so calling them a punk band is really just because of their roots, as most songs are more towards rock or pop (almost as diverse as Weird Al Yankovic). I highly recommend one of my favourite songs, 3-Tage Bart (3 days beard, from a concept album only about hair) which parodies 90s boy bands: th-cam.com/video/WETJs_bO_lE/w-d-xo.html
My favorite from "Die Ärzte" is "Deine Schuld" (Your fault) and it's a song about climate change that says: It's not your fault that the earth is like it is, but it is your fault if it stays that way. I especially like the video, which also is on TH-cam (Remastered Version)
Same channel has also some explained translations of the lyrics of songs of "Die Ärzte" (however without the music itself, but it could maybe help with learning German). The channel www.youtube.com/@LaLaLyrics at the other hand offers different song of German bands (showing text plates of the lyrics while playing the song, but not the original music video), including songs by "Die Ärzte", but also by "Die Toten Hosen" (the dead trousers), the other still active famous Punk Rock band from the 1980s.
DÄ is pop punk unfortunately but they have cool songs!!! Like the Toten Hosen Pop Punk (punk traitor) listen to the bands, Vorkrigsjugend, the starts and policeShit German Punk. Rammstein was previously called Feeling B. Band ddr Punk

WIZO. No discord needed for this suggestion of the incredible punk band.

I love "Die Ärzte" but I hate "Claudia hat nen Schäferhund" 😅
@@MenschUnterwegs1234 And what about "Die fette Elke"?
I remember when she became famous, the boys in my school sang this song because they THEN linked it to her. But originally, of course, it was not linked to her at all.
"Schrei nach Liebe" (Cry for love) is a very important song. Its lyrics are legendary and the music is spot on. Maybe a reaction?
agree, we learned about the meaning of the song in school! it was that important!
"It‘s not your fault that the world is like it is, it’s only your fault if it stays this way."
(Die Ärzte - "Deine Schuld")
Wise words.
Released in 2004, this song - along with the accompanying video - is more topical than ever in view of the climate catastrophe.
Es gibt nur einen Gott, BelaFarinRod ❤️

Die Ärzte- die Beste Band der Welt l!👍👍👍
Die Ärzte once released the shortest music video in the world. It's called Yoko Ono and is worth a reaction from you.
Actually that's Napalm Death with 'You suffer'. 3 seconds
@@amekoyu To be more precise, it is "the shortest video that anyone has ever seriously shot and that was then also shown on television (MTV, VIVA)"
38 Sekunden pures Glück.

I've seen "Die Ärzte" a few times, mostly as the opening act for KISS. Always fun.
The best band in the world.
it was banned for under 18s only. because of rather explicit lyrics. but a fan got the stuff anyways. somehow, I had them (still do)

"13" was the first album that I bought ^^
Claudia (not Schiffer) was actually a fellow student of one of the Band members and it was a big time mobbing at school...
"Geräusch" is my favourite Ärzte album. All songs (in album order) are available on youtube.
Both, Farin and Bela are very beredt persons, often times using humor to approach serious topics, which makes it even more thought provoking.
One of my most favortite punkrock bands ever^^
For example there great Song "lass reden".

hi, the video(die Ärzte) was synchrone, you are not! sorry man.
Sweet sweet Gwendoline
There is only one god:
BelaFarinRod!
Dude, your audio is horribly out of sync, you definately need to fix that.
got you
"Die Ärzte" are not really a Rock Band. They play mostly Punk-Pop music.
Reaction video, but you don't even know "Die Ärzte" and you can't spell them. Zero preparation. "Die" has nothing to do with dying.
German 'punkrock'😅
Don't listen to "Die Ärzte". Listen to "Böhse Onkelz".
Bad Sound !!
Not legendary anymore.. they're woke now.
