      TheBrc Gamer you have a controller that can change the level of shock. 15 different levels. First 7 has level of vibration and 8-15 has levels of shock.

    I can't seem to hear the beep on the collar but it still lights up when I push the button. The shock still works but I would rather use the beep because it's effective with out hurting the dog. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

    Trying to repair the button on my PetSafe ecollar, which looks exactly like the one you have in this video. I can't seem to figure out how to remove the back. The button on the collar seems to be "stuck" in the on position.

    How do I turn off the power on the hand held remote?
    Everything works correctly on the collar, including charging, the functions while on, and turning it off, but I can’t figure out how to turn off the remote so it’s not draining the battery while not in use?

    Wow.....ever heard of using positive reinforcement training? It works well for commands, unwanted behaviors and amazing tricks. I’ve trained my dogs using positive reinforcement. I didn’t have to use any shock, prong, or choke collar. My dogs listen to me because they are motivated too. Verses a dog who’s been trained and responds out of fear. Communication is greater than domination. 💯

      I have done positive reinforcement, My dog is too stubborn. I have gotten training treats and a clicker, he does well inside where it doesnt matter, but outside he refuses to respond to the "come" command. He is the ONLY dog i've owned. He will look at me turn around and run away, he has run into traffic and it's become a matter of his safty. I love this dog like I love my child, this is become my last resort. I plan to still use my clicker and treats to reward his positive behavior. But nothing seems to stop his bad behavior!! :'(

      @Caitlinelizabeth29 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gloria Smith I understand your concern completely 100%. I have two Labs who are the same way. However it doesn’t mean that they are stubborn. It’s harder for dogs to listen outdoors because of all the sights, smells, sounds, cars, people, other animals etc. Did you know that dogs have more than 150 million olfactory receptors in their nose? Whereas we as humans only have about 15 million. Their sense of smell is extremely powerful! So the outdoors can be a very exciting and distracting place for a dog and especially a puppy. I’m not sure how old your dog is. But if you have a puppy then definitely do not expect them to listen to you right away when outdoors. I would recommend getting a long training line about 30 or 50 ft. They sell them at about any pet store. Give your dog time to adjust to being outdoors before asking him to do any commands. So let him explore, sniff and run around for a little while to satisfy his curiosity, Definitely intervene if he gets into something he shouldn’t. Don’t pull him away just try to get his attention back on you with a treat or toy then guide him away. Depending on the age and experiences of your dog will determine how much time it will take him to listen to you outdoors. But the more you do this with him the easier it will be for him to listen to you outdoors. When you do ask him to come to you call him in a happy exciting voice. Reward him heavily if he comes to you. Also make sure your using really high value treats like chicken or turkey. Also if your dog loves to play reward with his favorite toy. Please please please reconsider using this remote collar. While it may work fast what you don’t realize is that you will be emotionally scarring that dog. Especially if you have a puppy! They will learn to live in fear and that’s not what you want. Positive reinforcement can and does work! But you must have patience! Hope this helps.

    • @Caitlinelizabeth29
      @Caitlinelizabeth29 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gloria Smith also one more thing. Since you said you love your dog like a child as any pet parent should. Let me ask you something. Would you put a remote trainer on a human child to punish them for bad behavior? Of course not! That would be considered child abuse! So then why is the same not true for dogs? A dog’s neck is more sensitive than ours and these collars can be a very traumatic experience for them. I hope to become a dog trainer in the future with my own business and educate people on these collars as well as prong and choke collars. These tools do absolutely nothing to promote a loving relationship with your dog! Positive reinforcement will always be the best way to train.

      Purely positive training doesn't work on the majority of dogs and e-collars, prong collars, and choke chains doesn't make a dog more fearful when used correctly. 🤷‍♀️

      Atmospheric there is no proper way to cause physical or emotional harm to a dog or any animal. Actually positive reinforcement has been scientifically proven to work on all different kinds of animals.
