You gotta admire Alan Moore, the guy used to write comics now he hates them as well as the entertainment industry itself. The guy thinks he's a wizard and that's kinda cool. 😎

I'm enjoying the longer form vids.
Friday night, puttering around the garage setting up the workshop and listening/watching this while preemptively doing my part of getting buzzed.
Drizzly tonight so no fire in the pit, just organizing and cleaning out the garage while having stuff on in the background(with probably several too many beers along the way).
Cheers to you and the peeps here.

@@RobertNorton12013 you got it. You've made me lol a bunch of times. Granted, it's been more when shitting on stuff deserving of being shit on, but not always.
My old long boxes have been ticked away for a long time so it's been fun reminiscing about a bunch that's in there(my collection is, other than a bunch of trades, mostly mid 80's through mid or late 90's).
      Enjoy the day, hermano.
      ✌🏽🤘🏼
I was also right about it being several beers too many btw hahaha

I Havnt looked at much Scott Clark. But I wonder if he was a bit inspired by Jae lees image books ( wild cat Triplett and Youngblood strikefile ).

Alan Moore is on rhe record that he was more or less doing the Wildstorm stuff for the paychecks. I think his only good Image material is 1963 and his work with Extreme/Awesome. There is something about Scott Clark art that I really like. And you are correct, he died in 2013, shortly after his run on New 52 Grifter ended. I am not usre if he finished the Martian Manhunter backup he was working on, but that may have been his very last work.

I haven’t read the 1963 but understand its good. His work on supreme was amazing and everything he did for liefeld I enjoyed. But i would add that his wildstorm work..the stuff i read.. I really really liked. He made Wildcats very interesting. And his tom strong stuff was brilliant. Some of my favorite comics ever

@@RobertNorton12013 Yeah, I like his Wildstorm material, too. I probably should clarify that I was referring to the non-ABC material. As a fellow fan of his Extreme Studios material, you probably know the ABC line began because of the collapse of Awesome Comics. Tom Strong was originally his Prophet pitch, and Promethia was the Glory story he had been working on. Top Ten grew out of his Youngblood ideas. Because of this, I consider it separate from the Wildcats stuff... which I did enjoy at the time, but I view it as some of the weakest work he's done in comics.

21:44 - I Looked it up. Ipsissimus is Latin for something like one's best self. So, it's basically saying Spawn labeled himself "The best".

24:30 - I kind of feel like the colorists drop the ball there, too. I think if everything was pushed towards yellows, oranges, and reds it may have helped sell the idea the city was in more of a hellish turmoil.

Out of curiosity, is there a Discord setup for this channel?
