If you could get a large quantity of either smokey quartz or amethist quartz and break it up and put it through a tumbler to smooth down all the endged you'd have colored quartz sand, either smokey grey or purple. You could even use hemetite and iron and quartz shiny silvery stone.
By far this is the best goldfish aquarium that I ever seen on Internet. What are the risk of using sand?, I have hear that we should not use it with Goldfish

this is only the second of your videos I have watched - simply beautiful!!!! The only issue I have are the 2 Goldfish - they have been bred to have distorted heads and so many of them suffer as a result. Hope they have a nice long life and will be happy in their lovely home.....K PS - love the relaxing music too!!!
Thanks for watching!! The only issue comes when their wen grows and covers their eyes (this does not happen to every fish). When this happens the wen can be trimmed. The wen is just a fat tissue, there are no nerve endings and the fish do not feel pain. Something like when we clip our nails.
Amazing aqua scape for goldfish. I wanted to have one. Shopkeeper says that even we equip filter, we should have a air pump alongside. But, you just put a filter. Please advise.
Thanks!! The air pump can't hurt, it can only be beneficial. In my case I have a lot of surface agitation by the filters (gas exchange) so I don't need an air pump.

Hi I'm from Bali I'm an amateur, does the plant need CO2 and the fish can be replaced with other fish? I am happy and like the concept you offer, very simple, minimalist and elegant. I hope this comment is replied to by you and I thank you
Hi! Thanks for watching. These plants in this tank can grow OK without CO2. But for some demanding plants, CO2 is very beneficial. Most aquarium fish can go in this setup, I chose goldfish because I already have several other species of fish in my other tanks.

I suggest to add 2 or 3 more.
You can’t each fancy goldfish needs 20 gallon of water(80 liter).An oranda needs a little bit more.
I suggest not to add anymore because of how much waist they produce, but if you want to add more I suggest getting a bigger aquarium.

Brother what is the difference between oranda goldfish and lion head goldfish.
I'm not an expert but I think oranda should have the wen only on the top of the head and lion head all over the head.
