- Opening Day & Full Show of the NEW Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney World’s newest attraction! My experience & opinion.

Im gonna miss the old one. But this kept my kids interested in it. My littles ones saw the old one and would fall asleep. This kept them up and clapping.
Everything they've been doing recently has been a downgrade. Splash mountian, country bears, shooting range, what will be next on the chopping block.
Carousel of progress…..It’s a small world
Haunted mansion, big thunder, Mountain, jungle Cruise
You KNOW carousel of progress is coming- it has a lack of dei….cant wait for how they ruin it!
well small world needs to go it's the most horrifying awful thing i've ever been on
@@jeremybenton458dang yall are so racist fr
I'm with you ! This change was not for the better. I'm glad you were honest . I remember the original when it was at Disneyland, and this version was truly disappointing. Thanks for going through it.
I want our old Big Al back..need that Blood on the saddle back. 😛
Big Al overrated
When Adam the Woo mentioned they were changing the Country Bear Jamboree, I flew down in January, from Indiana.
I bought multiple sets of penny smashers, knowing they were retiring “Liver Lips”, and replacing him with “Romeo”. But above all, I wanted to relive what I saw with my parents and brother, in the 1970s. It felt very bittersweet, knowing it would be the last time I saw the original show.
I think you hit on a great point about the changes. When we were kids, that was our show, built with references from westerns and Disney on TV: we all got it. But today’s kids don’t know any of that, and these changes reflect what they do. It doesn’t change the fact that it still stings.
We had original and witty songs. Now we have them doing the same songs we hear everywhere else. Good job Iger.
The songs by every country bear show weren’t original, in the original only 2 actual original songs were made for the show, the rest were covered songs that were made by other people, so on paper this new show is pretty in line with what the bears have been performing for years
@@SlushysSecret I think the Christmas show and vacation hoedown were exclusively covers if I’m not mistaken. The new show seems pretty on brand tbh, but also it’s ok to not like things or have a preference between shows.
@@SlushysSecret I pretty sure Blood in the Saddle is a cover song and not original to CBJ
@@retrospectrum yup blood on the saddle is a cover, the 2 original songs were Bear Band Serenade and Come on in
@@retrospectrum the seasonal shows had at least 1 original song I believe which was tracks in the snow and the great outdoors
Jay I definitely appreciate your opinion and perspective on the show. I liked how you expressed your thoughts in a very respectful manner and I definitely appreciated that you said you’re not taking anyone’s joy at all to the ones that did like it. I cannot stand when others express opinions in a way that attacks others and are like if I don’t like it then everyone else has to feel the same way and vice versa
Fully agreed here. I really like the retheme but I can also see it's problems. One of them is kind of a "same song sindrome". Yeah they're cool arrangements but Hole New World has been used in so many night time shows recently and even in the same key as the show version.
I’m sorry to say that I agree with you about the Country Bears Musical Jamboree. Thanks for showing us.
I appreciate your honest opinion and discussion about it. I have been seeing the Bears since the 1970s. The old Bears were classic! Also, why can't they just do original songs made just for the Bears show? Recycling songs from IPs is getting old. Let's have some creativity.
At the least the Bears are still there. A few years ago, Disney was thinking on getting rid of the Bears.
Take care Jay.
Sorry, unfortunately you can't have songs like "don't whup little Buford" or "Blood On The Saddle" without offending anyone. Not to mention "My Tears Will Be The Chaser For My Wine". That's progress folks☹️
@@craigbfd1 You'd still be able to do original songs though, would just take more time to write. Or license some new country covers if they took that route. Part of me is wondering, if there's now new voice actors, could they start to perhaps do some rotations and every few years do a new show? Or make it like Star Tours where they get optioned into the lineup and so you'd get "why don't we try something a little different" but suddenly instead of Kiss The Girl we get another Elvis-type cover of another song eventually. Whilst still having the option for Kiss The Girl. Same with the quartet (I hope they get a name eventually).
@@jukesy1992 Most CBJ songs are covers. Even in the original show.
@@retrospectrum Oh wow, interesting. A lot of the originals I haven't heard of. I know for Hoedown they did Ghost Riders in The Sky, which I've heard before. Am now curious about some of the originals though. I am guessing Blood on the Saddls is an actual song as I think they got the actual person in to do Big Al from what I'm reading. Davy Crocket as well, but what oher songs were out there?
Hurts my heart Jay to see it and agree with you. The memories are so raw, and Disney is such a nostalgic place (home). But yeah, I guess we could say it's for the younger generation, but how do we hand it down to them with so many changes. But life is not static, it's in motion. I'm with you. Here's to the first-timers seeing it. Thank you for sharing as always.
Always appreciate your honesty. You are always very positive and if you particularly didn’t care for something, you’re entitled to your opinion. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I appreciate that! Thank you
Jay.... I get your feelings on this. You have such a good heart and I feel this way sometimes too. Melancholia is a tough one. Just know that you are bringing good into the world.
Hey Jay! Just wanted to say that even though I don’t feel the same way you do about the new show, that I respect your honesty and opinion. I felt the same way you do when we lost the Tower of Terror here in California. We all have those special attractions that resonate deeply with us that we hate to see changed or lose. On the bright side, at least the bears will be around for a long time for future generations to enjoy!
Thank you my friend
I love your sentimental heart, Jay. I’m the same way with some of the Disney changes. It’s like a piece of my childhood goes away with each modification.
Having Big Al sing "Remember Me" is Disney trolling us & no one will convince me otherwise.
Proud of you for being honest! I love you!
Proud of you love you too
Intially my kids were too young to get the country bears songs now they will and they watched the videos of it and they loved it, I don’t care either way because I go for the kids and now it’s not a older experience it’s new for them to get and understand and have another option to do. At least they kept the animatronics instead of closing it like the shooting range!
I agree very much, this makes the bears more widespread appeal to all ages. Old country songs won't entice kids today except for the ppl who are disney fans or grew up in the 70s, 80s, 90s
Hey, Jay, thank you for presenting the entire show! This is the third time I’ve seen this through a few of the creators like you. I have to admit, it’s growing on me! I do miss Blood on the Saddle ,mostly because, as Adam stated, Tex Ritter recorded it. There goes our history in Disney that the next generation may never know. The sentimentality and romance of the OG Disney is fading away. I do have to admit Big Al makes me chuckle no matter what!
Thank you for watching Denise. I totally understand, just the initial reaction and only seeing it two times, I will keep giving it more chances. Just miss that old show. Thank you for watching my friend.
Yeap.. We couldn't agree more. This will go down in history like that Tiki Room change in the early 2000s.
It could have been removed. I think they were more respectful on this reboot. I would have preferred Big Al to be left alone, but I think they are recognizing how beloved he was. It would have been horrible if they changed his voice stylings
I agree with you, Jay...the original Country Bears is far better than the new show. The thing that gets me is that Disney felt the need to cancel the old show because they felt that its humor was not appropriate for the modern day. The thing is that the public wasn't complaining about the old Country Bears show...the Disney bean counters were the ones who were running scared and insisted that the show be changed. Now it's our (the Disney parks lovers) real loss and nobody's gain.
It feels like I am going to be the only one in the comments section who LOVES the new show. I don’t care. Keep being you Tampa Jay. Love your content!
Always. Thank you
Disney World and Disneyland aren't the same as they
used to be but they still have some great attractions
at both of them thanks.🇺🇲🎆🎇🇺🇲
Thanks for sharing that with us i enjoyed watching
Thanks Jay for the preview of the new Jamboree... I sure get it with missing the nastagia... There is always change and it seems like it was ok and a perfect fit for today's generation.
Thank you my friend
I love your videos. If we’re being honest Disney is supposed to be a park for all ages and growth and change happens. Nothing ever stays the same and that’s how Walt wanted it. People forget that because we get tied to nostalgia when something is so good. I appreciate you for stating that this could many people’s first experience of this attraction and Disney World at all. Let’s not kill the magic for those who are just experiencing.
Thank you
Liked the opening of the vlog!🇺🇸🙏🏻🇺🇸
I don't see Remember Me as a mock to the old show. I see it in line with Big's Al's songs in the Christmas and Vacation shows where he laments about his wife running off with his truck, dog, and swiss army knife. I see it as Al being upset over his wife taking off with his dog again XD.
🇺🇸God bless America!! Hi, Jay! 😊
One great thing, we all have the right to speak and believe what we want safely. You do a great job and we don't want you to NOT give your honest opinion about the places you visit. Great job!! Tampa Jay.
Thank you for taking us along to opening day of the new Country Bear show.
I'm like you, not sure if I like it. I loved the old one. 😢
Change is inevitable, and maybe one day we can learn to love the new show...maybe.
Hugs 🤗 and God bless 🙏
Thanks for sharing the new Jamboree!
what i love about your videos and Chris the girls is that you aren't strictly Disney...you get tired of watching strictly Disney...I love to see other things and attractions which i feel you blog about.
Man I love seeing your vids hoping I’ll meeet you at next years ghostbusters day
Hope to meet you too, my friend thank you for watching
I completely understand how you feel. I think the new show is cute, but I will forever miss the original show. I loved everything about the original. Many songs in the new one don’t fit the theme. I will go see the show in person, but will miss the old songs. Just like how you were saying it’s too soon, that’s why I can’t, and probably will never, ride Tiana’s. I love Tiana, and if they had given her a ride anywhere else, I would have been fine. But Splash was my absolute favorite ride of all time. I can’t even watch anyone’s videos in the queue line, let alone the ride through.
To be honest, you're not missing much. This, coming from me, a blind person (totally blind at that) meaning race, skin colour, has nothing to do with it, and you know what, I also love Princess and The Frog. They done Tiana and co a bad one. There's some cool audio moments "time to go tinyyy") is really quite cool, but the lift hill is absolutely meh and should have been awesome. Dig a Little Deeper is a very cool song but the lift hill needed something else, whether shadowman or whether they wrote something new and suspenseful for going up there. I'm not kidding when I say I've watched this new Country Bear Musical Jamboree a whole lot more than Tiana's, which I got bored of after four watches. I'm on my, what, 15th pov watch of the new bears now and still not bored, loving just how much audio detail ther is! As I say, I'm totally blind, so I rely on audio a lot. Tiana's just... isn't cutting it for me, and it really should! I think that says a lot about it when even a blind person isn't impressed!
Thanks for your honesty. I've only seen the show on TH-cam and have mixed feelings like you. Loved the original and went every visit. I'm going to see it in person and hoping to feel better about it than I do now. Stay a kid at heart.
Lifelong country bear fan here who was devastated to see the original go. I do however love this new show, my only gripes are shakers redesign is a bit strange looking and I think Ernest could appear in the finale before Al’s final interruption
Just watched your video I enjoyed watching the new country Bear 🐻 musical 🎼 jamboree thanks for taking us with you Tampa Jay love you 😍 ❤️ 😘 😊😅😂❤❤from Michelle over here in Nottingham in England 🇬🇧
Oh my God, it's almost like the same old same old. They could have done that so much differently... Thanks for saving me the trip there the admission ticket and the agony of having to sit through that in person😂😂😂😂
Always love tuning in to my man Jay 😎
Thank you
I was at Disneyland during the 25th anniversary season! Time flies since 1980!!!!
Do you have any old videos from the CBJ before they rebooted it?? I forgot the older version was like.😊 7:49
Yes I recorded the entire show unedited

@TampaJay Thank you Tampa Jay!😊
@@TampaJay Honestly, I loved the older version better. Classics never die.
Thanks for your honest opinion. Its sad to hear it is not as enjoyable.
They could have 100% torn down the ride and put something else. I’m thankful they kept the country bears, no one ever went on it and kids today dont know who the country bears even are. I loved the movie as a kid that’s how i knew who they were. I honestly enjoy the new show i like the songs and i think it’ll be fun is they switch it up sometimes and hear the bears sing different disney songs. I’m just happy they kept them and they did need a little refresh.
My name is Craig Dennis i watch your both new videos all the time and i in joy all of your both videos all the time and i hope Tampa bay makes the playoffs and tell Chris i watch your new videos all the time and tell Chris hi for me👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Nice place to visit. People should definitely bear🐻this vacation spot in mind.
Cool. I thought you were just a TH-camr. What kind of job do you do in Tampa?
On the new season of Big Brother, they have a contestant from Tampa Joseph and he works at Viper Video
I saw that! Very cool I believe they showed a couple of VHS tapes in the background that are now sitting inside of my house! Crazy lol
Thanks for covering. Safe travels
OMG it took me until you sat down with your Chicken and Waffles to realize that wasnt the Skater Ray and instead a Pizza Planet tee.. lol..
im a fan! this is way better than the run down old outdated, been to the grand reopening myself and before it was changed, theirs some changes for the better and to bring to the younger generation
Totally agree😞
They did a similar thing with “It’s a Small World,” at Disneyland…mixing in newer Disney songs into the classic “Small World” music. Gets me to think that next we’re gonna hear things like “Yo ho, yo ho, Beauty and the Beast…”
I'd argue that adding Disney characters to It's a Small World made sense because not only do their movies take place in some countries around the world, but it makes the ride more appealing that way. The animatronic doll versions of Disney characters stay true to the art style and design of Mary Blair so that they don't feel out of place with the whole ride. And as for the music, only melodies from classic Disney songs (not newer like you said) for each movie represented play and all of the characters don't sing them (with the exception of Ariel, though she sings the attraction's iconic and catchy theme song instead of Part of Your World). 🤷♀
Well, that was pretty good. Not as good as it was. But I could sit through it. Honestly I'm not all in with them changing so many things. But I appreciate ya showing us TJ.
i love your videos huge fan
Thank you
Everyone complaining should just start going to universal lol.
It does matter btw
The adults are the ones that bring the fiture generations, and Disney parks are built on nostalgia.
Just referencing the show that has been closed for this purpose and otherwise recycling old movie songs instead of making a really new show in the same style is simply insulting, but fits the disrespectful treatment of modern Disney with old franchises
Mornin Jay!!
Its not a bad thing to add diffwrenr shows, but in this day, it seems that anytime Disnsy messes with anything, it's never a good outcome.
Thr Country Bear vacation Hoedown, and the Christmas show were both great changes.
It was ok. I wanted so much to hate it, but i didn't. That being said, i do miss the nostalgia. Big AL and his song will never be forgotten.
When you change something from what was once perfectly acceptable, and still should be, citing that previous things that weren't offensive are now offensive to 27 year olds with multi colored hair, nose piercings, and buzz cut hair on twitter, then what you end up doing is replacing it with songs that are as safe, and garbage, as humanly possible. This is no longer a good show to watch. Another murdered Disney attraction. Keep it coming, Disney. Not like anyone goes to your parks anymore anyway unless they're as rich as the man in charge of running them -into the ground-
I have been hearing a lot of people do not like it.
High five Jay! Aladdin is my #1 animation movie too!
Erasing Tex Ritter like that? Tacky, sad. Great memories seeing it at Disneyland 1972. I'm with you TJ
I was hoping they weren't scrapping this show permanently!
What Bob Iger has done to Disney is akin to in Lord of the Rings what Saruman did in the scouring of the shire. If it’s new at Disney and Bob Iger is CEO then it’s going to $uck. The pander stone is real.
Hey Jay! I watched yours and Adam's vlog today. I do agree with you. I've been following Disney goings on for years and have been to the parks a fair number of times, California and Florida. I guess what bothers me about the new Country Bears is that they used the same footprint or template for this show as the original. I'm talking about the sequence of events. Every bear is in the same place. Gomer comes up, Gomer goes down. Bunny is still on a swing. The three lady bears are still in the same spot. I wish they could have moved the characters around a bit to really make it a new show. The whole show follows the same cadence as the original. It's like they refurbished all the characters, who all look amazing by the way, but essentially dropped in a new cassette with new songs.
Bare Neccessities is my favorite by the way.
I will definitely see the show on my next trip to Orlando, but I was hoping for more. Still love you all Disney Folk.
Don’t be afraid to say you don’t like something Disney! Honest feedback and reviews are hard to come by for Disney decisions these days and honest reviews are what is needed to make them grow in a better direction than where they’re headed now
We gotta be fast with the likes 😅
Yea Disney has ruined all this for everyone it looks so cheap and bad they needed to just keep the old ones the voices are no good and music is terrible but the music as you leave without the machines sounds good
I've been pretty honest that I believe the version that closed in the winter was the worst version of the show. I love the original, I love the Christmas Show and Vacation Hoedown, and I'm excited for the new show. The version we had for the past several years was missing quality songs, dialogue, jokes and gags. I think sometimes nostalgia (for nostalgia sake) can over shadow our objectivity. I know I'm certainly guilty of this. If nothing else, the bears got a much needed facelift. I'd also be excited if this brings in a new generation of fans.
If it becomes a "new coke" situation and they bring back the OG show PLZZZZZ make it the version from the 70's and not the one that just closed! Better yet, bring back the rotation!! Cycle between the new show, OG show and vacation hoedown, with the holiday show in the winter. To me thats the best case scenario.
It also David Hasselhoff Birthday from Knight Rider and Baywatch he turn 72 he is three year older then Disneyland maybe he went to Disneyland with his daughters Hayley and Taylor
I hear what you're saying, but here's the thing: no one was watching the old show. It was playing to an empty theater. It was going to be torn down. This new show is very much in the spirit of the old show, yet different. It appeals to a new generation, as you said. This show will become THEIR nostalgia. And now it's playing to packed houses. This needed to happen, or the bears would be in the trashbin right now. Instead, they have a new lease on life for years to come.
That's only because the original version was badly-neglected by Disney themselves. They rarely-bothered to fix the attraction 'cause they just didn't care about it at all until recently. As a result, it didn't attract as many people as it once did.
@@1992disney Yes, but not entirely. Young people couldn't really relate to the old show. Even the recordings and voices sounded ancient. You can hear how excited the audience here is about the new songs, and can sing along with them.
@@billpeet1976 Why does that matter? It was a timeless and beloved fan-favorite classic for a reason. So that doesn't justify the unwanted, unnecessary, inferior, and insulting change.
@@1992disney It matters if it was going to be torn down otherwise. I'm glad the bears are alive and well instead, creating NEW nostalgia for a new generation.
@@billpeet1976 Sorry but, this version will become dated in the next couple of years and it's popularity will be short-lived. You'll see.
Those ain't my Disney Chicken and waffles! Nope still pissed. About them changing out my waffles to Mickey waffles.
I think if they're gonna change up the show, they should bring back the seasonal Christmas show and vacation hoedown. And in a dream world I'd like to think every once in a while they could put the original show up for limited runs but I know they won't.
I get tourists aren't going to know the music of Homer & Jethro and Tex Ritter, but I always thought there was a certain charm to the show being basically untouched all these years. I also don't think the new voices match the bears at all. And I don't like the taxidermy heads already talking as you walk in. Ultimately I'm glad it's still going, but this isn't a show I'm gonna see over and over again like I did with the original
I now need to watch a video of the old show to get that out of my mind. Jay, I too am quite the chicken and waffles connoisseur. It needs to be bone-in-chicken not tenders and mix a bit of Frank's red Hot sauce in the syrup. The best I have had was at Metro Diner in Jacksonville. And a quick google search just told me you have one in Tampa. Get on over there!
Were you sad when they took down Splash Mountain? I was.
You want MY honest opinion about this show? I really like it. I really like the show from beginning to end.
I’m glad you like it I get it :)
Good morning Tampa Jay
😊😊😊😊😊
OK, so I've got two things to say.
1, much like you I will miss the old ones, however...
2, this feels.. better. It has the energy of Vacation Hoedown, if a little short. It feels more lively. The old stuff didn't have as much energy. Not boring, just... not as much energy. I often find myself skipping Liverlip's original song on re-listens. How Long is Forever, I keep on listening to, Blood on the Saddle I can kind of take or leave but I think the idea of it coming out of nowhere is pretty funny. Of course the Sun Bonnet Trio's original song is great. Oh, just a heads up, Blood on the Saddle is in the key of G whilst Remember Me is in the key of C. I will also say the audio for the actual show in this new version is way, way clearer and there's so much going on in the soundscape. I'm in my 30's, so I also don't know if that makes a difference or not. I also went back and re-listened to America Sings, and my gosh I love that so, so much. Depending on how this does, could that perhaps come back somehow? I still think this one needs a rotating show with either new songs added as we go or bring back some country as well. I still think it needs to be longer.
Shout out for Al Bertino (Big Al)
Please send these honest reactions to Disney they can change the tunes I hope!
It looks 👀 like you had a bear-tastic time. 🐻
That was NOT a country jamboree! 😂 And Teddi Barra has a lazy eye! Like, what?! 🤣
something are not as good as they used to be...Jamboree's og bears great. New looking through your eyes are neat. I can at peace with the new show. To each their own. Miss curtained this from UVS and AOAl. Gyros!!! Halloween parades with bead throws!
To be honest the only reason why I watched was because Mac McAnally sings Bear Necessities 😉
That’s awesome
I think the show is definitely more kid friendly which is what they wanted. I grew up with the original, of course from 1971. My family saw this for the very first time and we loved it!❤ original songs and jokes / style was definitely true heartfelt country. I don't hate the new show but it definitely doesn't have that nostalgia feel.😢 Seems too forced. Some of the costuming is cute. I think covering the bears up too much with clothing ruined it. Frontierland used to be incredible! Now , it's just so, so. This is definitely better than tyana's bayou adventure. Such a huge disappointment. Definitely missed the mark here in my book. I think if they had just updated the costumes and animatronics and added the bare necessities song, I think it would have been perfect with keeping the original jokes, songs. I'm sure families will enjoy it though.
I totally understand that. Thanks for watching
What they should have done is get usage rights for more modern country songs like friends in low places or boot scoot boogie and maintain the love of country music feel of the old show while updating for a more modern audience. Instead they cheaped out and shoe horned in their own copyrighted songs, in my opinion disregarding the spirit of the old show and annoying everyone that loved the upbeat and mildly dark humour of the old show. Corporate white washing if you ask me.
Garth brooks would have been cool
I wish you would have gave spoiler alert before revealing songs and what specific characters are singing. I was spoiler free and your the last video of 5. We skipped the filming, we wanted to hear what the experience was, if it was liked, loved or hated. I hate that I know what songs to expect and more so what Big Al will be singing. I'll have to skip your videos in the future if I am concerned about spoilers.
I put “the full show” in the title. Hmmm
Got rid of Liver Lips . Not PC .

I haven't been to Disney in about 15 years....I just dont like the changes and its ok to Not like all the changes at Disney....but I have watched the Country Bear Jamboree and Tiana's via online and i dont like the changes either....Tiana's is boring to me and Country Bear is just basically the same animatronics with different songs...but the original songs is what made it funny but whatever...I wont be going back to Disney anyway...its too Expensive and I feel Disney its not about the giving the customers the best experience possible which i feel was Walt's goal but not i feel its about digging as much out of the customers wallet as possible....
