He just wanted to open All Might’s eyes that he is still a hero, despite the loss of his powers... love this show so much man, Stain helped All Might find himself again; thats fucking awesome.

I really love Stain this season. The show does a great job broadening his character. Stain is a vigilante who idolizes All Might, thus leading to his extremist tendencies. But, now we know he also admires class 1A and thinks they too are true heroes. I also love that Stain is VERY self aware. He knows what he’s done, he knows it’s wrong, and he’s prepared to pay his dues so long as it’s done by All Might’s hands. He says he strives for a better world, but he’s still a monster. His reputation makes him a great ally to heroes because Stain isn’t a villain for the sake of being evil, he’s a vigilante who was willing to commit acts of evil. I also love that Star was introduced, it really got me hyped for season 7! Fun fact about her, she was actually one of the little girls All Might saved in the beginning of the first MHA movie. She was inspired to be a hero because of that day, hence why she calls him her master. She’s originally a brunette, but dyed her hair blonde to match All Might. Her quirk is amazing and I can’t wait to see her in action!
Yeah we also get some backstory on him somewhere though can't remember but he did legit try using words and trying to convince the world only people like All Might should be seen as hero's but he got nowhere that way so he went vigilante.
Stain is so sick is because he's the extreme personification of the central theme of the series, which is that anyone can be a hero, because a hero isn't just a job where you get money and fame, it's about having the courage to help people in need despite everything against you. Izuku is obviously the good version of this ideal, while Stain is the extreme version of this ideal because since he believes being a hero isn't just a job, he thinks anyone that gets compensation for doing heroic acts is fake and needs to die. Since MHA puts so much effort into this main theme it makes sense Stain ends up becoming such a good, nuanced character. I love that man.
To clarify the timeline: Shigaraki's surgery to gain AFO's quirk and the process of his body being adjusted to handle the power would take 4 months. The war happened with just a little less than 3 months complete, leaving 38 days for further adjustment. Midoriya was gone for around a month, leaving just 3 days for Shigaraki to finish... One must wonder what's become of Shigaraki's mind...

I don't think Deku would've find the words All Might needed to hear currently, maybe he didn't even know All might was going through that, it was Stain, the one that's been always looking and admiring all might (not that Deku wasn't, just that he's been completely sucked up into his One for All successor duty) knew what to tell him to get him through his current crisis

I can’t believe season 6. It surpassed nearly every expectation I had. I can barely even nitpick this season. After 3 set up arcs last season to come flying at us like this, I think I’m going to appreciate season 5 a bit more now too because how well this season did. Alright let’s start with Hero Killer Stain. What a speech that was. Basically to those confused, Stain sees Toshinori Yagi. The god he was has fallen. And he wanted to show the god hadn’t fallen from the loss of OFA usage, but from him not trying to be the inspirational force he was anymore. Showing the woman cleaning his statue was a GREAT touch that even if he wasn’t TRYING to be inspirational doesn’t mean his inspiration isn’t world renown. And to top it off, he basically gives All-Might a fan letter with the information. And it may just completely inspire some of his fire to come back. (Drive. His body needs to be rewound so he has organs again for actual action.) Now I DO wish Izuku still had dark circles under his eyes. A month of not sleeping or eating properly wouldn’t go away so fast, bath or no. But I was entertained to just watch all the guys in the class grab Izuku and scream BATH, NOW, GET IN. And they all learned fast from Uraraka’s speech too. Treat him like a person. Not a god. But I once again, need to bring up Bakugo. I mentioned 2 episodes ago Izuku noticeably did NOT forgive Bakugo. And…that extends here. Bakugo stops himself from saying Deku, and calls him Izuku again. But then Izuku STOPS him and says you don’t have to call my name if it’s impossible, you can still call me Deku. THAT line is proof while he appreciates the effort, 1 apology doesn’t undo YEARS of bullying. Especially as bad as it was. And that has PERSISTED in some way shape or form across MHA even after Bakugo learns what OFA is in season 3. Not as intense but still there. When he says that, Izuku is basically saying if giving me worth in your head is so hard, don’t bother. When he says you can still call me Deku, that is ALLOWING Bakugo to go back to calling him worthless. The fact he struggles to say Izuku is proof he struggles accepting it all even with the speech. It’s not that it’s impossible for Izuku and Bakugo to ACTUALLY become friends instead of training and battle teammates. But from here on out it’s all on Bakugo to make it happen. That apology opened the WAY to become friends. But I still can’t even look at them as that. Bakugo knows Izuku’s resolve and mission well. But he actually doesn’t know Izuku very well OUTSIDE of his hero ambitions. And that’s why Iida and Uraraka are his ACTUAL friends because they know and understand the rest of him. They’ll likely end as genuine friends in the end of the story, but people REALLY gotta remember how screwed up their relationship was for SO long. Making friends with a dedicated bully is REALLY hard to do. And while I succeeded 3 times, it was a LONG and battered road. I’m not projecting, this is where the aim of the story appears to be pointing. It’s a story long arc that will only be completed at the end. (Also worth noting before anyone says anything, just because they aren’t friends doesn’t mean they don’t inspire each other and are in some way shape or form dear to each other. Which they DEFINITELY are. Just not at ALL in the way everyone assumes because Goku and Vegeta or Sasuke and Naruto exist.) Alright, now we got All-Might talking about his vestige. This is my LAST note of OFA before next season. For those of you wondering why I’m so freaking certain All-Might actually DOES retain OFA at its prime, this is another note. We get the explanation All-Might’s OFA communication is 1-way. And VERY limited 2-way communication now. That’s not possible without a 2nd source. The part All-Might gave to Izuku is separate from everything All-Might has become since season 3. For there to STILL be communication season 5 to now, there HAS to still be a method for the mind to communicate to what was expelled. And nothing makes sense BUT stockpile energy he can’t use. And again, the design choice of the flaming vestige when OFA is always called a raging inferno is a VERY telling design choice. I’m really happy they addressed Izuku was actually out during the rogue arc for a month while Stain looked for a good time to speak to All-Might. Because that means the chances of Izuku still being 45% control is VERY unlikely since the kid can freaking double his power over the matter of a week. (I know 8% to 20% is pretty different from 45% to around 90%, but let’s be honest and say being around that level of control…say 75% minimum is just REALLY necessary to battle AFS.) Also while I’m happy Izuku and All-Might reconciled, because All-Might IS best dad. Breaking free of that man’s teachings won’t be easy and I hope All-Might gives Izuku some much more sound advice in what’s to come. Speaking of AFS, if you are confused by the information we got about AFS being READY, don’t worry, literally everyone is meant to be. They don’t know if it’s 2 months, a month and a half, or 3 days, but they have to treat it like it’s 3 DAYS so Izuku isn’t just BUM RUSHED while he’s resting. And they know it’s in AFO’s nature to release a bunch of red herrings regarding it. Because he’s trying to confuse everything as he goes. I love that Uraraka didn’t even flinch at Izuku waking up from a night terror. (These two’s care for each other truly is next level.) The kids know the only way out of this is to just harness what makes them all a family. (Jiro hugging Kaminari with her chord is precious now that we know about the 2 of them.) And it’s the power of friendship! But if there’s something MHA has taught us, this isn’t the moral support is all I need, it is they ACTUALLY are a team. And I’d love it if this story ends with Class A just refusing to be separated and they just call themselves the Symbol of Peace as a whole group. I feel like they ALL earned it. Finally, we have the American #1 hero. And what a BEAST of a woman she is. Star and Stripes. Just standing ON TOP of a high speed jet plane. So she’s just chilling at….anywhere between Mach 2 and Mach 10. (And considering her position, we REALLY gotta high ball her. She’s standing still at Mach 10.) XD flipping off her country’s process system for her action to go save All-Might specifically. And I can’t quite put my finger on where she’s from. She’s the #1 American hero, but can we be CERTAIN she’s from America? We also got LOTS of other foreign heroes gearing up. If the 1st war of MHA is Infinity War, we all know what comes next is Endgame. Season 7 is going to be fantastic. And we are going to have a BLAST. I’m not ENTIRELY certain if season 7 really is MHA’s finale season, but if it’s not, Season 7 and 8 will likely be treated as single season.
I was thinking there's so much to do it might end up being 2 seasons (which I would of course welcome). Thanks for all the detailed comments this season. It gave me a lot to think about

Season 6 was so damn good, my first thought was the same immediately wondering how long I have to wait til 7. I always really look forward to these episode, I watch MHA in sub, and I dont really get the time to commit to both your reactions and the dub, so getting to experience both the great performances of the sub cast while also getting a fresh take on moments is really a pleasure, so thank you for your time and thoughts on my favourite anime.
Before MHA I watched some ridiculous one called Tiger and Bunny which actually explored the concept of Heroes being celebrities and the frustrations some felt because they started out as heroes to be heroes and not to be tv celebrities, and trying to work and understand the ones who grew up wanting to be idols. Some of what you have said about this show had me thinking about that one. Although what drew me to that one is that they actually had legit commercial sponsors funding the show with their brand names plastered all over it!
I just wanted to say I really like your reactions. You actually talk about characters, plot, and things of substance. I'm not sure what your doing next but i hope you do re:zero starting life in another world soon. I think you would really enjoy it and it would be a bit of a change being a horror/mystery kind of anime.
Stain is a really interesting character, he is a terrible person and he himself even knows and acknowledges that he himself is bad and must be put down, but he also truly believes in "true heroes" people who will do anything for others, that don't care about money or leading hero agency's or being famous. All Might became famous simply due to his incredible actions, he didn't seek it out like Mt Lady who poses for pictures at her crime scenes, or Best Jeanist who (while still a genuinely good hero) still profits heavily from his actions.
"who is this guy, this is unreal" no, this is just how he is, i know its been 4 seasons but his character is actually super consistant, he was just on a hunt that night so more bloodthirsty
This is why I don't get why so many people wanted All Might to die when he defeated All for One the second time. It's more interesting to see All Might deal with feeling powerless and feel like he left everyone down and see that he did make a real change

I loved Stain in this episode. It's a bummer that he had murdered over 40 people. I feel similar about Shigaraki. I'd want a redemption but I think they crossed the line. Maybe a self sacrifice redemption.
As a big fan of your reactions i would heavily recommend you to watch oshi no ko next. It is the most hyped currently airing anime having only released the first episode. I think it would suit you perfectly considering your focus on the characters emotions and feelings. The first episode is a massive 90 min so it would probably be smart to cut it up in several smaller chunks but i fullt believe you will love it. Never judge a book by its cover it might seem like a simple idol show but behind that facade it is one of the best emotional series ever created.
I don't think this is a spoiler since it is mild speculation that is probably obvious but I will leave this warning just in case: I don't know if next season will be the final season or not but I do know their is plans to end the series at somepoint since this is "The Final Arc". Myabe there will be one more, maybe two more seasons but I am glad despite how much I adore this series. It will be ashame to not have more to look forward too but having a amazing sereis that starts then ends is refreshing for a shonen series. I remember as a kid being a huge Naruto fan but fell off because it just went on for too long. I am glad this seires (I think) will have a solid 7 or 8 seasons. And I can't wait to see what comes next.
I really hope you react to Oshi No Ko which is airing atm, its made by the same author as Kaguya-sama and is extremely interesting as the story continues. Hearing your thoughts to that show would be a great watch :D

If Mineta was portrayed like this episode (Sassy, acting like Todoroki, and making jokes), and ditched the pervyness, he'd be everyone's fav comedy character for sure. I really enjoyed Mineta this ep, its a shame we only got it at almost the end of the entire series

fellow anime only heeeeeere~! I'm really anticipating Stain and All Might's final showdown. I have a prediction that All Might will call Stain "my hero" when murdering him with that knife. I think it would be quite impactful. we're getting closer and closer to the social reform Shigaraki is fighting for, that Stain is fighting for, that Midoriya is fighting for, all in their own ways. another prediction I have is for the end of the series. my personal theory is that the story will end in its entirety with everyone in japan totally murdered, with only Shigaraki and Deku left, fighting together on a pile of their comrades corpses against All For One. However, Shiggy and Deku realize they aren't strong enough, so Deku passes One For All to Shigaraki, who then dies saving the world from All For One, and we're left with foreign helicopters coming to the country, with Midoriya being the last living person in a devastated Japan "And that was the story of how I became the world's best, and last remaining, hero.", with the 'hero' job system being gone so that this situation can never happen again, bringing true socio-political change, ending the story how it began; a boy with no Quirk with the will to save everyone.

Final War coming soon. The manga already has a season worth of content and is still going. Horokoshi said it would end after the first war arc (didn’t) then said it would last year (didn’t). Then he said 2023. And. Or he’s saying he has “new ideas” and might go a little longer. So we def have two more seasons to go. Though “season 8” might wind up being a shorter one, like season 1
I like the comparison made to the school festival arc in this episode. I think if you look back on it it has a lot more significance than you might think, though it might just be me making a reach I think there are some real parallels between Shigaraki and Gentle criminal. Both became villains because of a mishap with their quirks, they wanted to be hero's when they were young, the hair, and both have the potential for redemption. I imagine we will see Gentle return as a full fledged hero, and though i doubt Shigaraki will be redeemed to that extent hopefully before he's arrested/defeated/dies he can receive a Askeladd or even Erwin Smith type finale were he finally connects to something good and dose something Heroic in his final moments. (The festival arc gets to much hate.)

It’s not that it’s impossible for Izuku and Bakugo to ACTUALLY become friends instead of training and battle teammates. But from here on out it’s all on Bakugo to make it happen. That apology opened the WAY to become friends. But I still can’t even look at them as that. Bakugo knows Izuku’s resolve and mission well. But he actually doesn’t know Izuku very well OUTSIDE of his hero ambitions. And that’s why Iida and Uraraka are his ACTUAL friends because they know and understand the rest of him. They’ll likely end as genuine friends in the end of the story, but people REALLY gotta remember how screwed up their relationship was for SO long. Making friends with a dedicated bully is REALLY hard to do. And while I succeeded 3 times, it was a LONG and battered road. I’m not projecting, this is where the aim of the story appears to be pointing. It’s a story long arc that will only be completed at the end. (Also worth noting before anyone says anything, just because they aren’t friends doesn’t mean they don’t inspire each other and are in some way shape or form dear to each other. Which they DEFINITELY are. Just not at ALL in the way everyone assumes because Goku and Vegeta or Sasuke and Naruto exist.)
Alright, now we got All-Might talking about his vestige. This is my LAST note of OFA before next season. For those of you wondering why I’m so freaking certain All-Might actually DOES retain OFA at its prime, this is another note. We get the explanation All-Might’s OFA communication is 1-way. And VERY limited 2-way communication now. That’s not possible without a 2nd source. The part All-Might gave to Izuku is separate from everything All-Might has become since season 3. For there to STILL be communication season 5 to now, there HAS to still be a method for the mind to communicate to what was expelled. And nothing makes sense BUT stockpile energy he can’t use. And again, the design choice of the flaming vestige when OFA is always called a raging inferno is a VERY telling design choice. I’m really happy they addressed Izuku was actually out during the rogue arc for a month while Stain looked for a good time to speak to All-Might. Because that means the chances of Izuku still being 45% control is VERY unlikely since the kid can freaking double his power over the matter of a week. (I know 8% to 20% is pretty different from 45% to around 90%, but let’s be honest and say being around that level of control…say 75% minimum is just REALLY necessary to battle AFS.) Also while I’m happy Izuku and All-Might reconciled, because All-Might IS best dad. Breaking free of that man’s teachings won’t be easy and I hope All-Might gives Izuku some much more sound advice in what’s to come.
Speaking of AFS, if you are confused by the information we got about AFS being READY, don’t worry, literally everyone is meant to be. They don’t know if it’s 2 months, a month and a half, or 3 days, but they have to treat it like it’s 3 DAYS so Izuku isn’t just BUM RUSHED while he’s resting. And they know it’s in AFO’s nature to release a bunch of red herrings regarding it. Because he’s trying to confuse everything as he goes.
I love that Uraraka didn’t even flinch at Izuku waking up from a night terror. (These two’s care for each other truly is next level.) The kids know the only way out of this is to just harness what makes them all a family. (Jiro hugging Kaminari with her chord is precious now that we know about the 2 of them.) And it’s the power of friendship! But if there’s something MHA has taught us, this isn’t the moral support is all I need, it is they ACTUALLY are a team. And I’d love it if this story ends with Class A just refusing to be separated and they just call themselves the Symbol of Peace as a whole group. I feel like they ALL earned it.
Finally, we have the American #1 hero. And what a BEAST of a woman she is. Star and Stripes. Just standing ON TOP of a high speed jet plane. So she’s just chilling at….anywhere between Mach 2 and Mach 10. (And considering her position, we REALLY gotta high ball her. She’s standing still at Mach 10.) XD flipping off her country’s process system for her action to go save All-Might specifically. And I can’t quite put my finger on where she’s from. She’s the #1 American hero, but can we be CERTAIN she’s from America? We also got LOTS of other foreign heroes gearing up. If the 1st war of MHA is Infinity War, we all know what comes next is Endgame.
Season 7 is going to be fantastic. And we are going to have a BLAST. I’m not ENTIRELY certain if season 7 really is MHA’s finale season, but if it’s not, Season 7 and 8 will likely be treated as single season.
I was thinking there's so much to do it might end up being 2 seasons (which I would of course welcome).

Stain talking with All Might & the background girl being All Might’s hero is easily my favorite moment in the entire franchise. The second is the Lemillion & Overhaul fight.

Little detail but I'll never get over the fact that they made sure Ochaco was in front of Izuku when he woke up, so he'd see the most friendly familiar face he could. These kids are so good... you know they're taking care of their friend so well it makes me wanna cry.

Before MHA I watched some ridiculous one called Tiger and Bunny which actually explored the concept of Heroes being celebrities and the frustrations some felt because they started out as heroes to be heroes and not to be tv celebrities, and trying to work and understand the ones who grew up wanting to be idols. Some of what you have said about this show had me thinking about that one. Although what drew me to that one is that they actually had legit commercial sponsors funding the show with their brand names plastered all over it!

Stain is a really interesting character, he is a terrible person and he himself even knows and acknowledges that he himself is bad and must be put down, but he also truly believes in "true heroes" people who will do anything for others, that don't care about money or leading hero agency's or being famous.
All Might became famous simply due to his incredible actions, he didn't seek it out like Mt Lady who poses for pictures at her crime scenes, or Best Jeanist who (while still a genuinely good hero) still profits heavily from his actions.
"who is this guy, this is unreal" no, this is just how he is, i know its been 4 seasons but his character is actually super consistant, he was just on a hunt that night so more bloodthirsty

I loved Stain in this episode. It's a bummer that he had murdered over 40 people. I feel similar about Shigaraki. I'd want a redemption but I think they crossed the line. Maybe a self sacrifice redemption.

As a big fan of your reactions i would heavily recommend you to watch oshi no ko next. It is the most hyped currently airing anime having only released the first episode. I think it would suit you perfectly considering your focus on the characters emotions and feelings. The first episode is a massive 90 min so it would probably be smart to cut it up in several smaller chunks but i fullt believe you will love it. Never judge a book by its cover it might seem like a simple idol show but behind that facade it is one of the best emotional series ever created.

I don't think this is a spoiler since it is mild speculation that is probably obvious but I will leave this warning just in case:
I don't know if next season will be the final season or not but I do know their is plans to end the series at somepoint since this is "The Final Arc". Myabe there will be one more, maybe two more seasons but I am glad despite how much I adore this series. It will be ashame to not have more to look forward too but having a amazing sereis that starts then ends is refreshing for a shonen series. I remember as a kid being a huge Naruto fan but fell off because it just went on for too long. I am glad this seires (I think) will have a solid 7 or 8 seasons. And I can't wait to see what comes next.

fellow anime only heeeeeere~! I'm really anticipating Stain and All Might's final showdown. I have a prediction that All Might will call Stain "my hero" when murdering him with that knife. I think it would be quite impactful. we're getting closer and closer to the social reform Shigaraki is fighting for, that Stain is fighting for, that Midoriya is fighting for, all in their own ways.
another prediction I have is for the end of the series. my personal theory is that the story will end in its entirety with everyone in japan totally murdered, with only Shigaraki and Deku left, fighting together on a pile of their comrades corpses against All For One. However, Shiggy and Deku realize they aren't strong enough, so Deku passes One For All to Shigaraki, who then dies saving the world from All For One, and we're left with foreign helicopters coming to the country, with Midoriya being the last living person in a devastated Japan "And that was the story of how I became the world's best, and last remaining, hero.", with the 'hero' job system being gone so that this situation can never happen again, bringing true socio-political change, ending the story how it began; a boy with no Quirk with the will to save everyone.

The manga already has a season worth of content and is still going. Horokoshi said it would end after the first war arc (didn’t) then said it would last year (didn’t). Then he said 2023. And. Or he’s saying he has “new ideas” and might go a little longer.
So we def have two more seasons to go. Though “season 8” might wind up being a shorter one, like season 1

I like the comparison made to the school festival arc in this episode. I think if you look back on it it has a lot more significance than you might think, though it might just be me making a reach I think there are some real parallels between Shigaraki and Gentle criminal. Both became villains because of a mishap with their quirks, they wanted to be hero's when they were young, the hair, and both have the potential for redemption. I imagine we will see Gentle return as a full fledged hero, and though i doubt Shigaraki will be redeemed to that extent hopefully before he's arrested/defeated/dies he can receive a Askeladd or even Erwin Smith type finale were he finally connects to something good and dose something Heroic in his final moments. (The festival arc gets to much hate.)
