      Knowing 5 (passive+4 spells)*145 champions abilities (without counting champions with more than 4 abilities), knowing runes and do them in 30 seconds changing them every game, tracking enemy jungler, last hitting minions, manage mana and health resources, win skirmishes and little trades, remember 4 abilities + 2 summoners spells enemies cooldowns (6*5= 30), set vision, allow your jungler to gank your lane by moving smartly without making enemy think you are getting ganked, fake recalls to freeze the wave, hardpush or slowpush in base of your planning to back to buy the perfect item in that specifically match up with a precalculated amount of gold earned before.
      Now the first 10 minutes of games are passed.

What games have you been playing? Also, league and overwatch are high complexity high skill pro league focused games, certainly not for kiddies and casuals. Even if they were, that doesn’t make a game bad, its just for a different person. And what is so wrong about video games not being for incels and losers anymore? We broke that stereotype, that should be a good thing. Do you just not have friends and feel the need to make fun of the popular games now? Because Starcraft 2 was big for its time, which made it mainstream, but you still feel the need to regard it as if it just had a cult following. And for the record, StarCraft 2, as an example, has way, way, wayyyyy more players daily then you give it credit for currently, around 500k per day, far from a game with an actual cult following, titanfall 2, which peaked at 16,732 players this month according to steamcharts, and only has 22,992 players online currently as I’m typing this. @@jont2576 Remastered games can be good, great even. Take titanfall 2, bf 4. And its not just remastered games that can be good. Valorant is fun, and requires healthy amounts of skill to climb in. And yes, while some of these games are old, they hold up really well in todays market, unlike Diablo, or team fortress classic.
      Secondly, you cut down a huge portion of the series’ that I mentioned. Street fighter V is great, and apex and rainbow six are perhaps better. And somehow, you mention titanfall as a terrible series. Idk. Maybe that one flew past you.
      Sure the 2000s era had some unique games, but games these days have the same unique appeal. You got ghostrunner, subnautica, watchdogs, Hitman 2 and 3, It Takes Two, Firewatch, For Honor, destiny 2. Even rhythm games are making things unique with A Dance of Ice and Fire and rhythm doctor. I would argue that cs:go is as big if not bigger and dota 2 is still considered a good game and has a following. And don’t even get me started on vr. Beat saber, superhot vr, half life alyx, pavlov vr, boneworks, HDHHG, Stride. Its literally the future of gaming. While, yes, older titles are still fun, the industry is far from only being mainstream garbage-its just that games are more accessible because gaming isn’t seen as something done by only nerds and incels. And I don’t understand why mobas and fps games make you mad. There are still many good non fps/moba games, and the only popular moba I know besides dota is league. But even if mobas we’re super popular, so what? Thats just people’s interests shifting over time, which is natural.
      Simplified games aren’t necessarily a bad thing. You can still have complex interactions that run on simple systems. And calling league’s systems simple isn’t exactly a fair statement.
      Again, the industry of video games is far from a joke. A whole lotta good games out there. Theres an outstanding game from the recent years or one thats being constantly updated in every genre. I’m just sad you can’t find them. Lets see:
      Command n conquer is still getting more releases
      Forza for racing
      Valorant for tactical shooters(if you don’t like valorant, cs:go is still alive and well)
      Doom and BPM for fps dungeon crawlers
      The binding of Isaac for a 2d dungeon crawler
      RDR 2 for an open world game
      Just a huge amount of good shooters, take your pick honestly
      Superliminal for a puzzler
      Mirrors edge 2 for a parkour game
      And more. As for who cares about the stereotypes around gamers, gamers care. I don’t wanna be called a virgin incel for liking an art form. Its great we finally broke the stereotype.
      Anime is strange. I will not compare it to games. Some anime is insightful, heart wrenching, deep, and tackles tough subjects, I admit. But then that same anime will go into the next episode, and its fan service. And while some fan service is fine, it shouldn’t have a whole goddamn episode dedicated to it. And here is the thing. You mention anime being good because it creates and harbors perverts, incels, and the like. I, personally, do not think such a thing should exist. Its not healthy to be an incel, Its not healthy to be a pervert, it isn’t healthy to be ACTUALLY DEDICATED TO A DRAWING. Sure,you can think it looks pretty, you can even masturbate to it, but I draw the line at people being dedicated to anime girls and buying body pillows to dry hump in their mom’s basement. This is from an anime fan myself. Its weird. Its not good, and I don’t want that compared to games, which can tell interactive stories through sequences that you actually play through yourself. Its not a fitting comparison.
      Games aren’t mainstream garbage these days, their in-depth, well thought out, even moving.

      @@peffiSC2source Not dead. Rather it maintained what the internet calls; OG's. It has a consistent sizable fan base but compared to lol, it's quite small. Nevertheless, it's quite very active especially in Asia. It can be mistaken as "dead" simple due to it's outside looks and what other lol players see the game as but once you dig deeper, you'll see a very active, consistent, dedicated, highly intelligent and has a far far less toxic fanbase. The fact you said that it's dead simply because it's no longer relevant in the flow of TH-cam just shows how shallow you are. Simple judging a game by it's looks but not actually knowing how fun and exhilarating the game really is.

    • @peffiSC2source
      @peffiSC2source 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@holycrusader7965 I am just saying it's dead to trigger salty Starcraft elitists. I always hated how immature Starcraft players are and how they think they are better for playing a game that requires you to click more buttons than some other game. I thought that after years of this projection and insecurity based on the unpopularity of a video game people identify themselves way too much with, the Starcraft community would grow out of it. But no, the same whining that existed almost 15 years ago, how Starcraft players are just so intelligent, sophisicated, wise and above the rest of gaming, continues to this day.
      Just for the record, I played a bunch of different competetive games from different genres, including Starcraft and League of Legends. When it comes to just being happy about people enjoying video games, the League of Legends community was always more mature and chill compared to the Starcraft community. There were rarely any posts that ridiculed other games or players of other games. Meanwhile Starcraft fans kept purity testing video games and developed a superiority complex around their nerdy but dwindling community, ridiculing everyone that just wants to enjoy a game, driving out new players in the process. Even nowadays, when I listen to Artosis casting ASL/GSL, every once in a while there is a short circlejerk about how choosing to play Starcraft instead of LoL or Fortnite makes you a superior human being or something. And at this point it's difficult to chalk it up to just a joke, because some people definitely do think that way. In terms of general toxicity, Starcraft 2 at least wasn't that much better than League when I played it. Only difference was that in a given League game, there can be 9 other people that are toxic, while in Starcraft 2 it can generally only be the other person. But let's not pretend that Idra wasn't celebrated as a community icon.
      People like you and OP talk about shallowness but use low wage workers like cart pushers as a negative example to make your childish console-war Rick and Morty fanbase argument about video-game superiority. That says more about you guys than whatever you have to say about video games. You are talking about video games but ascribe virtues like higher intellect and work-ethic to someone's choice of their favorite video game. It's games, buddy. It's a hobby for the vast majority of players and most of us suck at them, no matter if it's LoL or Starcraft. Let other people enjoy their games. Celebrate success of other titles as a success of gaming and e-sports. Respect or at least try to understand the skill and knowledge that has to go into other types of games.
      The attitude of the Starcraft community probably contributed to the scene being so dead, that two of the greatest e-sports casters of our time have to be crowd-funded on Patreon to continue casting. If the Starcraft community built bridges instead of burning them, maybe they would have friends in other communities now that would be willing to help and promote the scene. Instead you make fun of the people playing some of the most successful and popular games in the world and then are surprised why no one wants to play Starcraft.

    I'm a master level Terran SC2 player, and have got platinum in LoL. This video is really funny though, made me laugh. Thing about LoL is that you have more time to rest your hands during a game, but games last a lot longer than SC2 games on average. In LoL bot lane game requires quite a lot of APM to play at a high level (it's like an intense micro battle throughout most of the game), and team fights need incredible reactions at the higher level. SC2 is more about multitasking, strategy, and high APM to keep all your production efficient, but it's less dependant on quick reactions than LoL.
    Starcraft: brood war is the most impressive game APM-wise to watch though.

      With sc2, atleast for a long time, all there was, was 1v1. They never incentivised team games, atleast from my memory, and the custom games section was/is kinda clunky and small. As you rightfully said, Lol (and also Dota) originated from Warcraft. Warcraft is probably somewhere in between LOL and SC regarding the skills you need. While SC takes the makro from Warcraft and cranks it up to the max, LOL takes the mikro from Warcraft and cranks it up to the max. Yeah, RTS generally has a large skill ceiling, no matter how much you simplify the mechanics. Forts RTS, Tooth and Tail, to name a few.
      Generally if you want to have fun pvp rts experience, better to play with someone of very similar skill, or play against ai.

      From what I see, he wasn't doing a lot of useful micro, most of his APM were actually wasted on spamming number keys.
      While it may be true that people may want to keep their hands warmed up throughout the game, but I think that's just for like pro level play.
      For guys playing in a free booth, I'm guessing that his APM will probably drop down significantly when battle actually happens.

Is not a pro player thing. Then after closely analysing what we see of the Protoss I realise that the only meaningful thing we see him do is move his observer twice and build a pylon & observer. The majority of the 'intensity' really comes from selecting of different control groups.

      @@Michaelonyoutub Yeah, I know about the warm up thing but I don't think this guy is necessarily pro level. Although I can't see the timer or know what player it is I'm confident that (in the modern day, not 7 years ago), pros would not focus on warming up when on 2 base. Scouting around with their army, looking for opponents production or army movement would be more important than the excessive APM usage he does there. That said we still don't know if he was watching the minimap which would remove the scouting concern, or the potential fact that the meta was as such that he already know what was coming an thus did not care for further scouting, but either way I think that this isn't high level, at least compared to the modern pro player base.

    • @crow5664
      @crow5664 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tristan Borie You're going to get wrecked if you build nothing but zerglings. For Zerg, you need a good mix of Anti Air units such as hydralisks (which often need to be split) and multiple spellcasters like Infestors or Vipers (which have as many active abilities as League champions). In addition, you have to look at your base and manage your production, upgrades, while occasionally scouting the enemy to see if you need to transition your gameplan to counter their build.

    • @izvarzone
      @izvarzone 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Biggest difficulty not in unit amount, but when you have different casters (like viper and corruptor) or when you need do combat trying to retreat some units to the back while not forgetting to continue get more units/upgrades/pylons/spread creep/inject larvas etc.
      Or in battles with high templars vs ghosts, player who have better feedback vs emp skill get the upper hand.
      All 3 races are challenging, while in league or dota there some difficult ones (like chen, invoker, meepo) and lot of primitive ones (like drow ranger, wraith king).... needless to say, 99% people play easy heroes and most difficult ones are least popular (yeah invoker is somewhat popular, but chen is not).. and then even with difficlt heroes it would be same as controlling army with multiple casters, but no macro.

    I played both games and am not really a fan of either tbh. LoL is indeed much easier than SC2 which is also why the player base for LoL is larger. New players can just start the game and feel good about their performance compared to SC2 which isn't that easy.
    Not to mention LoL is free, which attracts players who want to and players who also don't want to try it... but do so because it is free.
    Either way, just play the game you find most fun!

    • @napukapu

      "New players can just start the game and feel good about their performance compared to SC2 which isn't that easy." This is exactly the reason why sc2 is better. Less children and other ethnic scum and higher skill cap - something to work for

    • @deadmanavir
      @deadmanavir 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      napukapu I agree you feel much more accomplished after winning a game of SC2 than LoL mainly because it isn't a one time decision that you make throughout the game, or even 10s of decisions, but much more than that. (assuming it is a macro game)
      Also I wouldn't necessarily say it makes it "better". It comes down to the definition of what makes it "better"? LoL can also be said to be "better" because of the lower learning curve thus concentrating on having fun rather than going through frustration and losses trying to learn the game.

    • @napukapu
      @napukapu 10 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Casual. If "fun" is hoping you don't match up with russians, brazilians, children or mentally handicapped people so that you even have a chance of winning without these idiots failing your game then I'll pass. LoL = 5 people trying to play as one, SC2 = One person trying to play as 5
