Looks pretty straight forward. I have this kit on my bench and have been looking forward to your build video. As usual, you didn't disappoint. First Blitz kit and first Panzer III in a very long time. Thank you Andy!
Be driving by to pickup some kits in mid September. Awesome kit, I picked it up on our way home from Texas to Las Vegas last month. Awesome build Andy!
Hi Andy, The Covers on the Air intaktes and outlets are because this Pz. III was able to forge deeper to Rivers than normal Pz III. They could close this openings Walter tight. Also the Exhaust was positoned higher then normal and was fittet with a nonreturn valve Sorry for my bad Englisch Btw: Love your Videos All the best from good old Switzerland
Thank you some really awesome build short cuts. Just shows that there is always something new to learn which is alwaye a goodthing . Thank you for all the building tips . Two thumbs up
Love your videos, enjoy the commentary.....you break down each part into simple, doable steps and it makes sense to modellers at all levels of experience. Great job, Andy....keep them coming!
Right on Andy!!!! Love the vid Andy Back in action Yah!!! My fav 1/35th tanks Andy you Rock. Thank you Andy for all your sharing , builds, paints, whats new !!!! Right On!!!!
Good idea marking the track direction before fitting everything together...or you just use the Oddball excuse if you get them the wrong way round ("we can go as fast backward as forwards - I like to think we can get out of trouble as quickly as we got into it").
Ohhh😍 So nice tutorial 🙏! I started to enjoy assembling plastic models in this may. When I try to assemble that like a tank (military), I’ll back this channel & learn again. Thanks for making nice video😆!
Great job Andy I just picked up this kit today. Loved the video, at the end however while the tank is turning giving us the all round views of it I could spot that the two pipes that attach to the muffler don’t look to be connected to the rear underside of the hull.
Gotta get in there with the Tamiya Panel Line Accent Colors! You've gotta get with the Vallejo Washes and Pigments program too! I don't know if you have Big Lots stores in Arid-zona, but they are a great place to scrounge ladies' make-up brushes cheap for doing dry pigments! Next best is Sally Beauty Supply or Ulta Beauty. Both have nail sanding sticks cheaper than "hobby" sanding sticks too! I like Sprue Bros. but I can get the same sanding wands up to 50% cheaper at the beauty supply houses...put 'em in your store! We do! Gotta make our hobby dollar go as far as it can. Take care, Andy!
Excellent video as always Andy! 👏 But then, I am somewhat biased, because I have always had a soft spot for PzKpfW IIIs. lol 😆 I will also add this: While the Panther, Tiger I & II, etc get more attention, we must remember that it was the PzKpfW III that formed the backbone of the Panzer divisions when they were experiencing their greatest successes. So the PzKpfW III is an important tank from a historical perspective. ☺ Andy, I must say that you have a real knack for airbrushing perfect camoflauge patterns, which is something I struggled with. As is always the case, you have airbrushed the perfect amount of surface area with the camo colour(s) & avoided making the pattern look to 'busy' or repetitive. Kudos! 👍👍 I do have one question for anyone & everyone. 🤔 From what I understand, the schurzen on German tanks in WWII was between 5mm & 8mm thick. Given that the schurzen was made of hardened steel, I must admit that I'm skeptical that schurzen plates could get bent during travel or in battle. Even if they could get bent, I would expect that a force sufficient to bend hardened steel would first totally mangle the thin rails holding the schurzen, the fenders, etc.. FWIW, I have watched countless videos of actual footage on TH-cam & I certainly see plenty of examples of broken & bent rails, and schurzen panels hanging in strange directions, but I don't recall seeing any that showed schurzen panels that have been bent (unless they've been hit by large calibre projectiles) So I guess I am looking for opinions on this issue, and, if there are examples of German AFVs with bent schurzen plates (rather than misaligned plates because the rails are bent), I would greatly appreciate links to the photos/videos so I can peruse them. ☺ Thanks!
Love anything on German armor especially Kursk and Tiger 1s and Panthers and other tanks . I just love these build these build videos. You’ve seen the milk ad,got milk, how about ‘Got Armor?
As usual a very informative video. Another winner from Takom. My guess is that we can look forward to a few other kits based on the Panzer III like StuG,s for instance. I really would like to see a late StuG III.
Hey mate. You're still going strong I see. Joined and saw your tank painting on Nov 10 2015. How time flys. Catch up every now and then. Cheers 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺♿♿
Watching your old video of you building the 1/350 Ranger (CV4). I don't have an airbrush, and building something that big seems a bit tedious to paint without one. Especially the hull and flight deck.
Come on andy son it's not armour plate over the exhaust remember it's the Ausf M and a very ACCURATE Ausf M at that too! I'm building it now going by all my references and books it's the most accurate panzer 3 out the box I have ever built and remember this has all the Deep wadding seals and covers on this version! The exhausts close from inside the hull the turret side doors hatches have rubber seals and cupola same as the breaks and gearbox housing plate notice that's 4 handles at.each corner with a gasket and the deep wadding exhaust! There new Ausf N is very accurate too adding the whole new parts sprue to make I a true N!
I love how the tank looks good job Andy! I wanted to ask about the shadow coats to give the tank a shadow, highlight fading effect that you use with an airbrush. I was wondering if you could do the same with tamiya spray paint? With the black all over it and the highlights
A beautiful model, as the usual, I had the old ESCI 1/72 in the early'70 and for that times was very good. Ironically Hitler &Guderian were pushing for a more powerful gun but the bureaucrats choose the pathetic 3,7cm for standardization, then there was the upgrade to the 5,0cm.
Just bought this kit, there are some minor fitting issue, but nothing I can't handle. What bothers me the most are those seam lines on practically everything, especially the road wheel swing arms and in very tight places to clean them up.
Hi Andy, love your videos, been watching you for years. Just wondering why you have never addressed your volume issues, you are so much quieter then every other you tube video I watch, i have to double my volume level just to hear you. Cheers

@@rodgercox2770 Except that is not the right analysis. Dupont tweezers are about 35 USD. With postage you are paying over 20 USD for five dollars tweezers. Hi Andy I really like your tutorials , I like how you end up with the same results as some of the many other tutorials that seem to use alot of overkill in their painting process. I just want to get your advice on how to get a nice even fine spray without so much overspray. I'm OK with mono colours and modulation, weathering, but I have trouble doing those finer camouflage patterns especially on the German armour and aircraft. Also I'm confused with the waterbased acryllics and the Tamiya acryllic , what can you and can't use together? Cheers Stu.
That airbrush seems to be mulfunctioning quite a bit, there are green dots all over the place -_- Also you should spend some more time with the chipping and everything in general, like weathering effects, its very bare bones
I'm curious why you don't paint the turret separately. What do you do about the area underneath? Or is painting it while on the tank just for the video?.. Or do you just never turn the turret?
Damn, I was really stoked for this kit after I saw your video. Sadly, I've found out that this is the worst kit I've ever worked on. Really contemplating on just straight up throwing it in the bin. I find the fit to be extremely horrible. First Takom kit I've made, but I had really high expectations. Sure this is a "Blitz" kit and not a proper takom one, but I find this a very poor kit. Not going to buy any Blitz kits ever again, that's for sure.

Sorry Andy, but this kit fought me all the way. My first takom .. and last. It's not up to Tamiya or Ryefield models standard ... and imo not worth the effort 😢

what white paint do you use for the highlights?

Are those angled tweezers a Tamiya product?
what happened to the rubber tracks?
They probably made the journey over the 'Rubber Track Rainbow Bridge'....sign...😞😢😭

Pro tip: never use a marker on your model because they are oil based and paint will peel away ...especially if you don't use primer lol
Sometimes marker ink react with the paint over it and leave a purple stain on it, I always use a 2B or HB pencil.
Do a revell kit pls!
Does anyone know the code of the yellow colour he uses on the tank
