So slick. After watching your lesson about stuttering and extending rudiments, that first 4 and 2 part makes a lot more sense too - she’s stuttering the RL of RLLK and it really clicks.
Love chops WITH groove. That's Gadd, Vinnie, Chambers, etc. Chops without groove is redundant, a waste of listening time and boring AF unless purely as an exercise. These two drummers have chops and more importantly, a deep sense of groove, to spare.
Really cool!
This is the exact course I've been looking for. Signing up today!
Saw her life last monday in the netherlands at the 50th Tama anniversary festival
I’m not usually big into fabricated fills, but this is super cool. Super hip and melodic. Awesome signature lick, Anika!
Wow thanks for this lesson!! Just love the dynamics she has whenever she is playing 💫🙏🏻

Dude, EXACTLY! It’s one of the primary melodic strategies of so many drummers
came from the stutter snd extend lesson and IMMEDIATLEY understood everything she was mentioning. nice
That’s awesome to hear. You’ll keep seeing it everywhere now!

Double pedal?
she seriously started playing at 26? so there is hope for me at 38?
She started playing at the age of 5. Her father was a drummer. At 26 she started to study drums at a college, before she was a kindergarden teacher.
there's hope
