As someone who has played through this game on lethal twice, I don’t get why people fight so aggressively, the game is so much less tense if you just play reactively, waiting for an enemy to make a move and then countering that specific move
Yeah, combat is almost a rhythm game. It is rare to die even on lethal if you play reactionary. I play it like the Zatoichi movies, wait for their mistakes, punish them, and watch the blood fly. Plus, you can always just go the shadow route and it becomes a joke regardless.
So fascinating watching how people approach this game. Fully upgraded your sword after the main quest? Wow. I had my weapons mostly upgraded before I even attempted Castle Kaneda
Thats how i was in mad max but did what i thought max see as a must do to reach the plains of silence and honestly its been my favlrtie playtrough im at 35 hours as of now amd just beat the main wuest before writing this (im taking a break lol)
As someone who’s played lethal, this is one of the best max difficulty systems in the gaming industry. It never feels unfair as enemies also die realistically quickly and it heavily rewards getting good and feels so satisfying when you do. Rarely do you get a gem of a game like this who doesn’t just have overly spongy unfair enemies at max difficulty
Dave, this is incredible. This has to be one of the most amazing achievements to date in your youtube career. You must be so proud of this monumental effort in both gameplay, and editing. All of this just to provide content to the masses. I've subscrimbo'd and look forward to the great stuff to come in the future. You are amazing!
As someone who plays on lethal, I can confirm that blood on the grass isn’t your enemies blood and your least favorite enemies will be the axe man and the spear man.
One of my favorite things about lethal mode is that you really understand what jin is talking about. On my first playthrough, I didn't really use ghost weapons at all, instead opting to go full samurai. There was a disconnect between jin justifying him using poison and stuff, and me mowing down hundreds of mongoals head on. On lethal though, you're forced to be patient, use stealth, use the ghost weapons to get an upper hand, because if you be a samurai, you will die over and over and over again. I never 100% games, but that connection i had with jin on lethal made me want to, and it also made ghost of tsushima one of my favorite games ever made.
If you did the side tales, for example, that take place in the south before finishing act 1 THAT YOUR ABLE TO DO you'll have a more balanced experience and things won't seem so grindy when your doing extra content. Masako has a few more than the bow guy. The merchant might be worth saving till after the fishing town needs to be saved. But the tales are designed to be done in tandem with the main story based on where they are in the story. But yea if you can occasionally grind and avoid the side missions it's more fun and easier, but still In the rp. And ghost weapons. Don't get stance techs, there's a reason why unlocking moon stance early is an achievement. Less leaders,.more bears. More bombs lol
"I'm not leaving him." And Jin immediately draws his sword. One of many times he shows without words that he respects Yuna. One of many times he demonstrates true masculinity. Yeah this game is perfect, not a single regret in preordering it years ago. Hell, the devs went out of their way to get permission from the Kurosawa estate to call the black and white mode Kurosawa mode.
This was the first game I’ve played at max difficulty and realized I am actually capable of playing on harder difficulties it’s also my 2nd platinum so 🤷
The Ryozu fight is how I felt when I fought the sign on Dathomir in the Star Wars the fallen Jedi on the hardest difficulty. Also the Rancor almost sent me off the edge at one point!
I love how every time he loses some of these combat encounters, once you start "breaking the code" everything is significantly easier surprisingly 😂 Kunai OP
Played this game on lethal with no bow upgrades whatsoever, had an absolute blast in the boat section in the khan bossfight, it's all about observing when to parry, i barely dodge in this game unless it's an unblockable attack
as someone who has played this in lethal there is only one advice get the revive ability asap and perfect parry then never attack just wait for them to lash and its that easy
I finished the game on lethal, it can get pretty hard, and you need to plan ahead more in order to clear larger camps, and I used all the stealth possible, because of the one max two hit kills.
I feel like playing the main missions before side quests is definitely not how this game is designed. I recently finished the game and did literally everything short story or mythic wise before main stories. I mean there's so many skills and weapons you get by doing that. He was actually playing Letal on extra hard mode.
"once your thumbs have time to rest and get rid of the fatigue, you may see how much you have gotten better" that is why when i get to tired of fighting a boss in this game i just take some rest (drink water and go out for a few minutes) and i kick their ass in 2 attempts
Big missed opportunity to use that type of training flashback as an actual training mode, with full settings and one button resets like say, dragon ball fighterz.
I watched Night of the Museum when I was really young. The scary guy was Attila the Hun, not Genghis Khan 😂 Although given how many steppe horse archer conquerors there are, it's pretty easy to mix them up.
I find it funny how you started the final boss trying to fight fair, but then realized that with how many people are attacking you have to use poison and cheap tricks. It’s the exact plot of Ghost of Tsushima
As someone who committed to spending a full 7 hours straight finding every collectable I can say it’s worth it, but only if you have the patience to fast travel a million times
For me, the only post game content in this game was the DLC, which is meant to be an epilogue of sorts. Other than that, none of the side stuff was post game. ...I was max level by the time I killed the Khan. Well before it in fact.
As someone who platinumed Ghost of Tsushima I can tell anyone trying to platinum just know that the trophy for completing all side quests will break you… Literally
Playing on Medium+ rn, just parry them and attack and then when they’re stunned attack. The little gremlin bosses do lethal attack in sniffing distance
I loved this game so much where after beating platinuming the game and completing the dlc I played the game in Lethal+ and I was successful until the final boss against SPOILERS my uncle where I got stuck and just defeated him in Hard+
Did anyone tell him that the "red shine" attacks can't be blocked? I'm like half way through the video so far and it seems like he doesn't quite understand how that works.
i can never parry or counter, i put all of my charms into maximising my parry chances/window, cant remember and i still struggle so playing on lethal would be pointless
As someone who has played through this game on lethal twice, I don’t get why people fight so aggressively, the game is so much less tense if you just play reactively, waiting for an enemy to make a move and then countering that specific move
I love reactive playstyles as well. I do find the parry windows a bit bullshit, though. :(
@@ThorsShadowif u have the directors edition try the mythic armour from there
Its fun tho

Same i had fully upgraded samurai clan armor at castle kaneda
Some people don't take the time to play the game.
Fr I had 30 hours in before I decided to go for kaneda lol
I’m a persons that likes to just play through the story first and then do a second gameplay to become op and take my time

He overheated
Yeah im ngl his gameplay was lowkey pissing me off😂
I don't know why but him pronouncing the horse the same as Cage makes me laugh so hard, especially in that heart touching scene
How does that even occur? you hear Jin call it the right way multiple times throughout the game

I lost a bit of sanity in my lethal run too and starting wearing a straw hat while wearing the ronin robes for “immersion”
I mean I wore a real straw hat, not in game.
Thank you so much. This is one of the most enjoyable Ghost of Tsushima videos from my perspective 😊

As a meber of the 1k hours club in ghost of Tsushima When he beat ryuzo the first time i couldn't wait for the next encounter
Btw if you ever return to it best way to fight duels is use first like 5 mins to learn the attacks/when to block or doge
Love him talking about the sly cooper series being made by sucker punch and then showing the cover of the one game in that series they didn't make
