    Thank you for the video. I just received and installed Uncle Seiko's half-link-piece of cake if you have the right size screwdriver (1.2mm) took all of 3 minutes :-). Finally it fits the way I like it. I had no idea that this clever 1/2 link existed. Thank you, Uncle Seiko and WrongTimeWatch.

      You are welcome, I am glad it was easy to install, and that the video was helpful.

    I got the US half link and I’m very happy with the quality of it. The fit and finish are spot on. It is still a tiny bit more loose than I would like, but much better. The watch was nearly un wearable before sliding around on my wrist. Keep up the great work, brother!

      I agree, the US half link does make the watch more wearable, but still not exactly perfect like I want, but definitely a big improvement. I really hope that Tudor will offer the T-fit clasp as an upgrade for the BB58. Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it.

    My BB58 is also one of my 3 favorite watches in my collection (my other 2 favorites are my Datejust and Submariner). There is something very special about the Tudor - perfect proportions, great vintage vibes, well built and accurate. I recently put mine on a Forstner jubilee bracelet and love the look, fit and comfort. And yes, those calipers will scratch steel watches - I have made that mistake also. Cape Cod cloth is your friend.

      I am mixed on if I will fix the scuffs with cape cod or not. Probably will just leave the scuffs on there. This is one of my favorite watches as well. Maybe even more so then my Submariner. I am going to see about getting the Forstner bracelet for mine as well. I would like to get a datejust one day, but most likely the 36 mm version.

    Thanks for this Kevin. This is the definitive video for this mod and I hope US is comping you!! I just got the BB58 blue and love it except for, you guessed it, the fit. I will check back in after I get the half link and let you know if it helps. At this point, any tightening of the band would be appreciated.

      Thank you. That is very kind of you to say. I got to keep the half link, so that was compensation enough. I still have it on my BB58.

    I have noticed that at least one new BB has a micro adjustable band. I hope this moved to the rest of the product line. 💪
    Nice job!!

    I saw an ad on Instagram today and now I can't find the product for the life of me. It was a half link with 5mm extension for Tudor watches. Looked like a great solution.

      @@WrongTimeWatch thanks, it wasn't this though, it was like an aftermarket easylink for Tudor bracelets.

      Steel Reef on Instagram is what you're looking for. Just got back in stock.

    It looks amazing on your wrist. Defs after the blue one, nice to know there are half links out there!

      The half link really helps with getting the right fit.

    Saw a post on Reddit where someone took the new Tudor ranger bracelet without the rivets and put it one the blue bay 58. Must say that it looked pretty good and IMO perfected the black bay

      Thanks, I saw a similar post on WUS, perhaps from the same person. I agree, it does look good, but I understand that the bracelet is $800. It would be awesome if we could get a T-fit clasp for less than half that.

    I noticed recently how easily the bb58 scratches. I wonder if it’s the steel or the fine finishing and polishing that attributes to seeing marks.

    • @WrongTimeWatch
      @WrongTimeWatch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have noticed the same thing as well. It had me thinking that it is 904L ss like Rolex, but no, it is 316L SS, It must be due to the high polished case. I have no idea how mine has become so scuffed up.

      @@WrongTimeWatch you said you bought yours in Michigan? I got mine from Lewis Jewelers in Ann Arbor. I recently ordered a Steel Reef ext link, but it’s still in transit from the UK.

    What kind of Loctite would you recommend using if one were to use it?

    • @WrongTimeWatch
      @WrongTimeWatch  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't use any thread lock on my screws, but if I were to do so, I would use purple loctite 222MS. I have seen this recommended on the watch forums as well.

    Still looks loose for me. I would try another half link on the other side and then find the best microadjust hole.
    Or take out another full link and max out the holes.

    • @WrongTimeWatch

      It was a good fit when I was out in the 90° temps, with my wrist swelling in the heat. The area where I have my studio setup is cold and climate controlled.

    Not sure how you scratched the bracelet with plastic calipers but I wear mine a LOT and there’s not a mark on it

    Why not link the uncleseiko product page? I also don't understand why you wouldn't just use the micro adjust versus purchasing and installing a half-link. I would for sure pick up a Black Bay 58 if they got the new t-fit clasp.

    • @WrongTimeWatch
      @WrongTimeWatch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the reminder about a web link to the half link. With the micro adjust all the way out it is too tight. With the micro adjust all the way in and an extra link added it is too loose. The half link so far had been the best fit.

    • @metcard
      @metcard 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the 41mm BB and have the same problem. I remove a link to make it a little tighter and it's way too tight and uncomfortable. I add a link back and the watch is way too lose.
      I might order this half link myself and see how it goes.

      Yes, the bronze version as the T-fit system, and the new Tudor ranger does as well. I hope that there is a retrofit available for my BB58 clasp.
