Hello Garry, I want to ask something. I Use CP1H-X40DT, the inputs are only digital. Can I use Analog input for the plc? should I use ADC or there is another way? thanks a lot garry

      Hi Felix,
You can use an expansion module for the controller like this one.
      CP1W-AD041
Information can be found on the following URL:
      www.ia.omron.com/products/family/1778/lineup.html
I hope this helps you out.
      Regards,
      Garry

HI, where do you normally get the 10V from? The PLC is always 24VDC and i don't see many 9V batteries around. Do the PLCs ever supply 10V for the analogue in or out? Thanks for your video!

      Hi Vance Bell,
This is a common question. The 10V DC for the analog usually comes from the sensor you are connecting. You typically will provide 24VDC to power up the sensor, and the output will be the analog 10VDC. Please look at the operating instructions for the analog device you are using.
I hope this helps you out.
      Regards,
      Garry

Hi, thnx for the video. What about activation of the analog inputs in plc parameters first?

      Hi easymotorrider,
The CP1H uses a fixed memory location for the analog. This was covered in the following post/video:
      accautomation.ca/omron-cp1h-numbering-systems-and-addressing/
      Built-In Analog
Analog inputs: CIO 200 to 203
Analog outputs: CIO 210 to 211
This is part of the CP1H series:

      Regards,
      Garry

I mean activation of these inputs in plc settings before starting to use it. They will not work, until you activate it in settings, also here you should choose a range, voltage or current, e t.c.

Can you provide the exact model of the Omron CP1H PLC that you are using?
The CP1H has a fixed memory map for IO. The settings are specified in my previous response. You will set the voltage or current through the dip switches as indicated in the video and manual.
The value will be displayed in the appropriate channel for the built-in analog. You will use the scaling instruction to scale the value to engineering units.
If you go to the website specified in my previous answer, links to the manuals are at the bottom of the post.
If you are using another manufacturer of controllers, you must look to the manual to wire and set the input. Some will even have scaling built-in.
I hope this helps you out.
      Regards,
      Garry

Hello Garty, My machine is stopping after one cycle. I believe there is an issue with the PLC programming but dont know how to fix it.

      Hi, El closet Shop
Can you provide more details? What brand of PLC? Program logic that ends/starts the cycle? etc.
      Regards,
      Garry

I followed this exactly yet receive no input. Any advice?

Are you getting a voltage signal between the input and the common point of the PLC?
I would test this without the connection to the PLC to be sure that you can adjust the voltage output signal.
I hope this helps you out.
      Regards,
      Garry

-First verify that you have a current input of between 4-20ma. Verify via measuring with a multimeter.
-Set the physical dip switches to "ON". For "current" input. If inputting a voltage, leave dip switches "off".
-Activate the input feature in the settings menu of the programmer.

    Hello Garry
My PLC has a problem about error (008A Code).
    My PLC model CP1H-XA40DT-D.
When I setting PLC for use Analog built-in and transfer its after has alarm.
How i can do it, tell me please, thank you.

      Hi Nattapol Tangam
I cannot see this error in the operation manual.
      assets.omron.eu/downloads/manual/en/v1/w450_cp1h_cpu_unit_operation_manual_en.pdf
On the CPU there is an ERR/ALM light.
If it is flashing a non-fatal error has occurred. The program will still continue to be executed. I would then check your parameters in your program.
If the light is on solid, there is a fatal error. I would check the hardware, including the connections for your analog signal.
Let me know how you make out.
      Regards,
      Garry

Hi dear how I convert digital input into analog out put in omron plc?

    • @ACCautomation
      @ACCautomation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Imran Yasin,
The Omron CP1H has fixed memory addresses. This means that the analog output will come from a specific register. This post will show you the addresses.
      accautomation.ca/omron-cp1h-numbering-systems-and-addressing/
Here is a link to the entire Omron CP1H series.

The push-button is either on or off. An analog output will be a range. Here is a post that will explain the analog output.
      accautomation.ca/how-plc-outputs-work/
In Omron, you would usually use a "MOV" move instruction to set the value for the analog output.
