    Let's say I want to control a pump with that exact setup.
    How exactly do you figure out what to send to the VFD? I mean, after sending it the digital signal to RUN, which mA value should be sent to the pump to turn it on and allow it to run?

      As the example in the video:
      1. The PLC has a digital-to-analog module, that is, when the HMI transfers the digital to the PLC, the PLC's digital-to-analog module will continuously output an analog signal between 0 and 20mA.
      2. Set the VFD frequency to be controlled by analog (0~20mA). When receiving 0mA, the VFD frequency is 0.00Hz, and when receiving 20mA, the VFD frequency is 50Hz.
      3. Set the VFD RUN mode to terminal control mode, that is, PLC can control the VFD to run or stop through the terminal.
      The whole process is:
      1> HMI input digital quantity--PLC converts digital quantity to analog quantity--VFD receives analog quantity and converts it into frequency value.
      2> PLC uses terminals to control the start or stop of VFD.
      For your doubts, you need to understand the relationship between analog quantity and frequency, and the mathematical relationship between digital quantity and analog quantity. You need to check the PLC user manual and programming manual for this part.

    can i apply modbus RTU communication protocol to VFD ATO? or VFD support for serial rs232 or rs 485? so i can set frequency without expansion MAD11 analog output
