I agree. From a regular scissor to solar panel in satélite . Yust change the pivots point positions and (or) the long of the pieces and you have a diferent move. At least if they use a New material.
I agree, these mechanisms have been documented for centuries. The particular design could be patented, but not the technology. Design patents are easy to circumvent however with small changes, and still accomplish the same result, so have limited effectiveness. They have put together some neat designs though. It still takes a bunch of work to get all the links the right length to accomplish what they have done.
You can patent the linkages. It's like making a scissor lift out of lego; the scissor lift anyone can build freely, but the lego is patented. The lego saves you time and you can reconstruct it to make different things quickly. This is linkage-lego.
I used to have my channel called "Aperture Laboratories", fitting with logo. It's moments like these I miss that name. Otherwise I would've just replied "Approved".
Can linkages be protected by patent? That's the simplest thing that you would make if you wanted to make a machine that did that thing. Anything more complex (that you haven't attempted to patent) could be simplified into your design.
So a patent troll company with one employee able to boot up Autocad? I'm very impressed. They used to be just trolling others with letter littered with scary words, now at least they bother making some 3D animations. Evolving. Well done.
they patented Leonardo Da Vinci's design ! yeah i seriously want to make business with people with such few ethics ! Your are such daring bastard let's turst you for our next project ..
There are many engineering manuals of mechanisms that would contain most of these. I have not personally read this one, but looks along the lines of what you are looking for. www.amazon.com/dp/0978518055/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_H9TNFbRMN0BRN

@@mhassanien68 oh great 😓 Please don't tell me that you're going to offer me the file for one of the models you made. If you do that, I'll feel terrible for encouraging your generosity when in this case, I surely don't deserve it. My comment was intended to be comical - I wasn't being serious. My mistake was that it might only be funny to those who could see it. One would have to know English and at least some exposure to Spanish to "get it". What I said was a play on words. The word "nada" in Spanish means "nothing". So now you can read my comment again and see the pun of my dumb joke. I'm sorry if you were mislead. And I feel incredibly guilty that you would display such innocence and generosity - and only to lift the spirits of a total stranger. Lol I feel horrible now.. 😞

Hi sir ,is this type of mechanism available for folding stairs?..i am mechanical engineering student in final year..i wan't to make project for automatic stairs machine for public transport..like buses.....it can help handicap person or old person to climb in bus easly...so tell me is this type of mechanism available for make stairs..?....THANK YOU
You start with a sketch, which is the basic design tool in any CAD system. When you get the stick frame working, you can start making solid links of the same lengths and mate them in an assembly, where you can then start moving them just like in the sketch.
they would be so amazing for wardrobes and shelves that can't be reached any longer.but please don't sell out to large companies so we can't afford them.?
"Gentelmen, I give you PANELS. The planks of tomorrow. Fully configurable. Infinetly variable."
I seriously just snorted Pepsi onto my keyboard. Thanks for that.
1:38 That is not a panel. That's a crusher. We sell them too.
"Aperture brand panels will assist your test subjects every step of the way."
I actually thought it was a Valve video about the panels when I first looked at the thumbnail
same thought...i hope part 3 is coming out this life.
Congratulations, you've patented the hinge. *slow clap*. Way to stifle innovation.
How can this be patented. Scissor lifts have been around for literally centuries.

Well at least these look to be massively overcomplicated so no one is likely to "infringe" on their patents for an ancient piece of technology.
I assume there’s something novel they’re doing that isn’t apparent

I've definitely seen some of these mechanisms in old machines from the 60s as well as engineering books...

How can it's IP despite some in this show were used in satellite solar panel decades ago?

How much for a Dr Seuss extending boxing glove?
Can you tell me what is this material?
Has this system been engineered +implemented in RoofTop systems ie Rain Harvest or Solar Panel Installations ❓
Are they on the market for DiY? and various sizes please
In what part of this technology is new?
From where can I get the designs? I need some as reference for my semester project.
Designs are awesome by the way :)

Dows anyone know, are there any patents for a wheel?
sofwere what do you use to make this animation ..? Please let me know
Our next revolutionary patent... the Wheel!
Hello, could you please tell me which which software did you model and animated this?
This is truly amazing !
thnk you. Yes it will reduce construction cost by ten folds.

There is literally nothing innovative about this.
yup because its not new scissor lifts have been around for literally centuries
yeah but peapol keep forgeting to make them in contraptions
