Looks amazing and I really look forward to the final product. Just a little scare with how automated it is that its moving component wouldn't last and it could be stolen in a more remote area or unlikely that it folds you in with it (but they probably have it all planned for safety). I need more information cause I really want it! XD
Looks quite nice. But how strong are they? Can they withstand storm? Jumping party of 20+ people inside? Lots of heavy furniture? What about thermo- and water- isolation? Can they be used in cold climate like Canada or Russia or in rainy one? What about sound-isolation? What materials are they made of (or should be made of?) - and depending question - how much will it cost to build such a house?
Could this type of approach work with cylindrical shapes? Like, could you make something that would stow inside the payload bay of a current rocket, and then eject it into space to have it expand into a larger structure?
Cool, it can be temporary or you can live in it for a lifetime coz' it looks like a nice house. The only problem with it is you'll have being-squeezed-to-death anxiety all day (like range anxiety with EVs), if something happens to the circuit and starts folding in, again. God bless scientists like engineers.
As fascinating as the concept is, for all practical purposes of implementation, there are quite a few problems, or so it seems. 1. How is the mechanism going to be powered if it is mobile 2. What about water and electricity supply for the occupants 3. How rigid and well supported is the structure, given that it's on stilt-like structures and has multiple mechanisms simply holding up sections of the structure in its constructed state 4. Given the change in floor area from the compact to full constructed phase, how would the furniture be stored safely and securely
This could be a real solution to our seasonal housing issues for seasonal employees and end our housing crisss for seasonal employees and the businesses that can't find employees because of the lack of housing.
CGI edited, look at the sunlight movement split at 0:18 going to 0:33, and major cut at 0:29. FAKE video and unprofessional company, looks like a scam to bring in investors. Which is sad because I would've bought one of these, time to move onto another company.
The only legit folding houses I've seen that actually you can get soon is from boxabl and they keep their customers updated on YT and other social media. Check them out for sure.
simply majestic.
add solar panels and you have the best motor home cabin ever.
Right. That's what I have been waiting for. An unfolding camper or motorhome.
Where does you stuff go? Kitchen, bathroom, bed, couch?
I want one how does financing work on this ?
Would anyone live in it full time as an alternative to brick and mortar housing?
Look on their website and one thought is prevalent, are Ten Fold Planing a mobile city?

The folding buildings are cool and all but, have you guys considered making foldable furniture?
They don't really address questions in the comments section, or so it seems.
I'm interested in an uncut version. Can't you upload one hidden and share the link?
They keep touting simple manufacturing, but I've yet to see / hear of a single commercial unit being built.
So nobody is asking... what do you do with your furniture?
Think Murphy bed style stuff

I'd imagine it'd be very hard for it to be vacuum sealed.
Is this for sale? If so, how much? It is very impressive.
Any update this year?
When will it be available? Is this the 7M Model?
Are you planning to go mass production?

So did this ever fully release?

What is the footprint size on the ground?

What is the weight?
Hydraulics? electric motor? cable?
what if it malfunctions and closes on you?
When I go on tour I'll use one of these 😊
ok.
It appears to be a stilted structure, which means wobbling instability.

I want one I can fit in my trunk.
New construction options.
Personally, I think this is an incredible idea.
With that being said..
I don't even want to *try* to think about how expensive this is.
technology comes first for businesses. where every day you are operational before tradicional construction schedule is an extra day of profit.

yup, and if you look at 1:00 the sunlight goes back into place, they simply reversed the generated animation from earlier

The little clip with the guy moving the panel may be real, but the rest is very very fake sirs.
The real demo doesn't look quite as impressive as some of your fancier CG-simulated designs.
