What this show needed was a resident sceptic -- some engineer walking about with a microphone saying, "It's just infrasound, bro." They're surprisingly entertaining, especially when everyone else is crapping it.
I was part of a film unit that did a very high end fashion shoot in that tube station. It's used by the fire brigade and the police to do crisis training drills. I believe its the deepest or so tube station in London. I stayed on the street level. All the models and film crew were getting freaked out because the depth and darkness was really disorientating. No one had a good word for that location, except for me
aaaand he picked up on a ghost that was reported to have been seen at Aldgate Station. In the East End. A long way from Aldwych. It's quite a famous story as well so he definitely would have heard about it and then seems to have got the stations mixed up.
Very interesting programme from 21 years ago. Not sure if authentic, but extremely fascinating. Wasn't Ruth Ellis supposed to haunt Aldwych station? The underground tunnels are fascinating, absolute mazes that probably lead all over London. People could probably live down there if they could get in!! (But probably full of rats!!).
No rats in Aldwych- it’s a closed station only used for TFL rescue team and BTP Sniffer dog training (no food there at all). The SAS used to train there but got banned as their entry charges caused damage to the linings and plaster which needed to be repaired before use for filming etc…
The names Strand/ Aldwych/Embankment and Charr8ng cross have a complex history. The Northern former Strand took that name from the Piccadilly line Station when it opened. Strand on the Piccadilly line was renamed Aldwych at that time. The Norther Strand Station was adjacent to (and is now named) Charing Cross. When the first section of the Jubilee line was opened (terminating at Charing Cross, the Bakerloo lines Trafalgar Square was amalgamated into this new Charing Cross. Other complications were with Embankment having once carried the additional name of Embankment (Charing Cross) …..
The medium guy nentions two ghosts who don't haunt Aldwych/Strand. The old woman with the white hair who saved a workman from electrocution supposedly haunts Aldgate station. While the tall guy with overalls has been seen at Stockwell station.
I loved Derek, I believe he was genuinely in communication with all the spirits in every episode, his reactions and his energy. Derek is missed bt NEVER forgotten 🌱🏵️🌱
But neither of these two former stations are accessible from street level....which makes it incredibly difficult to explore them. That's why Strand has tours from time to time, and the other two stations don't.

That said, Acorsh clearly didn't believe a word of what he was saying. I know he was a fraud, but I find it hard to hold it against him.

It would be more convincing if it wasn't most haunted.

It’s strange that they choose people for a ghost hunt who 💩 themselves at the slightest noise.. 😂
The train is a former Northern line 1972mk1 4 car unit used for filming and training purposes.
Strand Station on the Northern line still shown on old map books, was a separate and a different station to Aldwych Sation

I was looking forward to watching this, until she mentioned Derek.
Derek died one year ago today on January 3, 2020.
Kaitlyn and me together in a haunted house 🤭

Yvette, the uniform
makes you look more attractive.
17:26 - Their flashlight moves left, then right. See the face inside the train when it moves right?
So you set up a Lazer that can be triggered by breaking it but don't set a camera on it to see what triggers it? 🤷
*I think if the original stories were to remain mysterious, they did not need this tv show or that over acting fraud.*
You will find one in Golders Green station
Did anyone see that in the background at the time
Just some roomers to scare poor people
Mary loves Di….Mary loves Dic…
Down Street or Brompton road are much better options:))
