To be fair, spending out that much on the freezer machine, you got to charge a good amount to slowly pay it off. I've never seen or heard it done this way before. Nice one!
If you charge $175 for this repair like I do in my store, that freezer would be paid off in 20 repairs. After that it's all gravy. Glass only repair is mostly all profit.
And the back cover (battery cover) can be pulled out safely the same way? And be reused? Or only the classic method of heating goes with it? Sometimes it is no need to get the back cover out but only to change the glass, so it would mean that the entire phone can be placed in the fridge?
This has been around for a few years. A lot of shops don't use this technique because the machine is expensive. Works great but not new at all. The "game was changed" a few years ago. But glad you caught up.. I've seen guys use dry ice to do the same thing.
Dry ice doesnt work on curved Samsung screens. May work with older model iPhones but not Oled Samsung screens. Doesnt get cold enough. Also you say that alot of shops dont use this because the freezer machine is too expensive? That's on them. @Troa Nope...not cold enough... u need nitrogen cold like subzero minus 100 degrees......the sticker/ touch sensor is chemically stuck to the glass screen.....pretty much the only way to separate the Glass screen without damaging the touch sensor and display.
Now that's pretty cool, the cold temperature neutralizes the glue for the time it's cold and you can just take it off, solvent does the same thing, the machine just does the same, without chemicals.. but ok, i'm not sure if it works, but if you use a suction cup to lift the glass of, you should save you the rest of the time you could possibly save.. but thanks for the tip! Did you use a heat gun/hair drier to get the small chip off of the first phone? Also, with a heat gun, I presume a low setting. I'm concerned of going too hot; does a hair drier work?
Good info....wondering if a standard home freezer works or do you need the nitrogen powered expensive looking NASA one you have? Also if my display is glitching does that mean my damage has gone past the glass into the LCD panel? Thx.
I have access to a -80 C freezer but yours in about -100 C. How long do you leave it in the freezer? And I'm guessing for a galaxy s8 I should remove the screen/LCD from the rest of the phone. That technique was insanely cool.

@@RichardMeza I wanted to avoid that as it's a lot more expensive. The back one is almost falling on his own as it's broken so that one is easy. But my screen is perfect aside from the glass covering it.
So I noticed the backs are dismantled but you are still powering up. Is there any required dismantling prior to freezing? I assume any standard freezer will work? Do you use the LOCA UV Glue or is it not needed?
The phone is stripped no motherboard before freezing and slotted back in to power it up later (the wonders of editing) and UV glue after removing all old glue with isopropyl alcohol
You need a special freezer to do it. Liquid nitrogen also works. But yea you have to take the phone apart. Only the screen gets put in the freezer. I have it linked in the description if you want to check it out.
Hi Richard, do u recommend this freezing machine for samsung and still using the hotplate for iphone? Or the freezer for both? Is the big benefit of the freezer that u need glass only and not a digitizer with glass to repair Samsung?

@@RichardMeza so true your reply
I had two busted up s7 edges and I also saw this tech in 2016b when s7 edge came out and cheapest price was 380 due to NO ONE taking just glass off.. I was gonna attempt it myself but to get the dig. And glass was 299$ cheapest for generic setup..glass only 14$.. only tech taking glass off was a guitar string and very tedious process or so it seemed on the 17 min video I watched..saw one like this but no one was doing it, so needless to say after only having the device for 4 months (2 of them with cracked screen) finally bought new phone with 20 months left to pay on that.. fast forward two years 2/18.. Added Line for my lil one figured they must be able to fixed curved glass by now.. No such luck , price came down a lil bit but still 250-300 .. could buy used on eBay for that... Anyways js wish this dude was around back then cause maybe more techs would know about this.. I would have to agree that no one is doing this still years after tech was first launched on utube so whether it be internet explorer, fire fox , chrome ect I'm so glad this dude used it to to upload this info so maybe other techs will incorporate it into there business so I don't feal like I need to buy a new phone if and when I crack my screen..

I worked for nextel as an engineer one thing that was always heavily stressed to our cellphone technicians is that H2o Condensation is cancer to a circuit board. I would recommend caution in using this method. Once a circuit board encounters condensation it WILL eventually fail due to corrosion it may take weeks or months or years but it is inevitable...
Only the screen was put inside the freezer. The entire insides of the phone were taken out.
@@RichardMeza Lmao!! I've never taken a phone apart in my life, or ever worked on one. And even I saw that you had taken it apart, and it was just the glass screen. I love how everyone on here are such haters... why would anyone discourage the sharing of valuable information or knock someones hustle? Why don't you go get some money or something, and jump off this man's feed? Oh. You ain't got none to go get? Okay. I've been repairing devices for almost a decade. He's sharing experience. He's sharing knowledge. Successful people observe and execute. Quitters talk alot and do a lot of nothing. This is the fourth video I've seen of the process that I was already mildly familiar with, but nevertheless, it was the only one where he and I had the excitement factor in common. It's cool. It's easy and it is profitable. Of course, being we are all low key McGuyvering our way thru life and constantly engineering better methods, this will remain in time as the day most of us will remember thinking.... "woah.. that's badass.." Sorry... just gets old... keep doing your thing bro. Your too nice and calm bro. I would have straight snapped on the redunance and ignorance in the feed. Kudos.
The hate actually helps boost this video. Google and TH-cam see it as engagement which keeps making it popular. Which then these videos will keep reaching new people who it will end up helping. The more engagement, the more the video grows. Thanks for watching my videos. I appreciate the good comment. I know my videos help both new people and current business owners.

Boom! That's a game changer right there.
Why are you taking it so personal?
Are you his wife?
I respect your opinion, Hope everyone thinks the way you do.
Fantastic video man, thanks for sharing this with us.
👍 Thanks
And the back cover (battery cover) can be pulled out safely the same way? And be reused? Or only the classic method of heating goes with it? Sometimes it is no need to get the back cover out but only to change the glass, so it would mean that the entire phone can be placed in the fridge?
No. Only the screen can. Everything else needs to be taken out of the phone.
I love the way you share your experience with people, go ahead bro

This has been around for a few years. A lot of shops don't use this technique because the machine is expensive. Works great but not new at all. The "game was changed" a few years ago. But glad you caught up.. I've seen guys use dry ice to do the same thing.
Dry ice doesnt work on curved Samsung screens. May work with older model iPhones but not Oled Samsung screens. Doesnt get cold enough. Also you say that alot of shops dont use this because the freezer machine is too expensive? That's on them. They need to check their financial situation on why they are a business owner with empty pockets. I've been using the freezer for a year now. The freezer has been around for a couple years but it hasn't been adapted in the United States yet.
@@RichardMeza 😂😂. Calm down buddy. Don't be so defensive. I'm just saying, it's not as game changing as you think, at least not as much as YOU think. It might be game changing to YOU but not to the shops that have been using it for a few years now. But I'm glad you got a freezer. Nice!
Richard Meza does the glass lens replacement need to be an original part? Or can you get a cheaper replacement?
10-15$ is a cheap replacement tho
But you can still get upto 6$ per piece if you buy in a quantity
And 4-7 $ if you go for another brand
(A little bit of color difference)
If you are doing this then buy the proper glass for it not cheap shit
Use good good Samsung glass. I only recommend using good glass with Samsung on it. You can go the cheap route but if you are gonna do it as a shop, only offer good glass. It's mostly all profit anyways, so why not give the customer the best glass.

Thank you in anticipation. I found your video very interesting and informative!
Did you use a heat gun/hair drier to get the small chip off of the first phone? Also, with a heat gun, I presume a low setting. I'm concerned of going too hot; does a hair drier work?
It was all done by that freezer
Good info....wondering if a standard home freezer works or do you need the nitrogen powered expensive looking NASA one you have? Also if my display is glitching does that mean my damage has gone past the glass into the LCD panel? Thx.
If your display is glitching, you have to change it the full display and glass.
I have access to a -80 C freezer but yours in about -100 C. How long do you leave it in the freezer? And I'm guessing for a galaxy s8 I should remove the screen/LCD from the rest of the phone. That technique was insanely cool.
