I just wanna say so thank you for filming the old Abbey Wood score before he was knocked down because I went to that school from 2002 to 2007 before I graduated on the 18th of June 2007 so I am an ex-Abbey Wood pupil so thank you so much I really do appreciate it and it brings back all the memories of me being at that school
I was there from 79-82, lots of bad memories but a few good ones. Bullying was terrible. I was called German because my father was a British soldier and we had just moved back to England.dinner money nicked lovely place
And it really does bring back all the memories I’ve seen the video on TH-cam of all the good times that I had there and it was like a second home tonight I’ve got on with teachers I’ve got on with the student has a place where I felt comfortable of the
I was there from 82-87 , this brought back some great memories. I used to love the after school clubs but we lost a lot of this due to the teachers strikes. Favorite teacher Jane Bell got my head around maths. Worst teacher Tebbit... had no time for you if you didn't understand instantly.
Thanks for the vid. Memories to treasure. If I could rewind time, I'd go there right now. Might re-do 1 or 2 things differently but I'd be there once again for old times sake. Big hello to the 1st year class of 85. I remember doing the milk round before school, £5 cash in hand for a couple hrs work then off to buy sweets, good old days.
I attended this school. i never actually got to see it all it was so big. i didn't like it but this video brought back Memories. some good and some not so good. i am now 62 and living in Spain. Hazel Cox now H Blair. any of my old schoolmates seeing this drop a comment so i can see you. Happy days.
love this video the school was grand but I hated my years at school due to bullying which was reported to the teachers alias nothing was done about it and when I finally stood up to the bullys after years of hell I was suspended when I was surrounded by a group of girls in the toilet one whom was trying to throttle me with my bag strap fearing for my life I struck out a punched the bully and due to this I was suspended ...thanks to my reaction the bullying stopped but it was my last year there if only I struck out sooner
Excellent stills and video footage, I have lots similar but have yet to put it together. A long shot but I don't suppose you have or know anyone who has photos of the old swimming pool inside the building at all? Spent alot of time there at after school club, many great times shared for £1.50 a term, that was definitely value for money.😀👍
Went there from day it opened - September 61. Wasn't a bad school in the sixties, but a lot of kids really didn't want to be there. The Comprehensive "experiment" wasn't exactly a raging success. Went downhill from there.....retired and happy in the USA now.
I studied in Abbey Wood in the 80s, I have the adress but cant find in Google Maps, do you know What has been built in that location so I can find it? Thanks
All we have left is memory, thank you for this video, not sure why I feel a bit emotional watching this. I was a set of 2004.
