    A million thanks from someone who is totally inept at any kind of mechanics for your crystal clear explanations of each part's function. Your humour, eloquence and clarity of expression combine to make your videos a total joy to watch (!).

    This was a fascinating video, Stian, especially how you explained the relationships between the wheels in the triple complication. The engineering ingenuity in finding the simplest ways to achieve complex functions is remarkable. It is one of the fundamental qualities of vintage watchmaking. Btw, do you deduct from your assistant's wages the price of the pilfered ice cream sandwiches?

    • @VintageWatchServices
      @VintageWatchServices  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Bullnose! You're spot on that finding the simplest solution to complex problems is the essence of good watchmaking.
      And yes, it's basically a zero sum game. The scarcely paid child labor I encourage is balanced by them buying stuff with their earned money that I would otherwise have given them for free 😁

I see the simple logic behind the triple date now, this gives me a little confidence to take on a Framont triple date I have here - nice watch, accurate to within seconds a day but the day and date are reluctant to move properly.
