I was 16. Didn’t realise I was a teenager growing up in the best decade. God they were good times. So innocent and full of optimism. I tried to give my kids everything better than I had but I couldn’t give them a better decade.
Fantastic music by The Pet shop boys. I recall listening to their hits back in 1987,88,89 as a late teenager. Those 80s days are always in my heart. Isn't it great that they are still around today making music!.

We who grew up listening to the Pet Shop Boys were very lucky; and I feel, are still very lucky as they continue to make very relevant and original music (even in their late 60s). Feel very emotional when I see them performing in these clips from the 80s. Neil is so handsome and elegantly dressed! I can't believe that no other singer could command my love, admiration, and respect with this intensity since 1987, the year I first heard Actually- and I am now 48!
Is he lip singing the studio version? It sounds like it. Also, when the lead vocalist sings the lyrics " you can fly away to the end of the world, but where does it get you?" Absolutely one of the greatest few seconds of singing I will ever hear in my entire life. The way he gets his voice pitch up high is straight $. Absolute gold.
