the black knight suit here are basically full blown NGAD equivalent in gundam, with each suit controlling multiple missile carrier drone and having better tech as their femtech armor cost no energy and having only minimal armament to make space for volture luminere.
Tbh they caught him off guard and he even tried to do a full burst but they were to fast for him to react properly to the situation but ngl it was a great scene nonetheless
@@hamzadesidragonsarwar Regardless of it's strength Rising shouldn't have taken that kind of damage until it's Phase Shift failed which doesn't happen until well later in the fight. It's still got a mostly full charge here.

I attribute Kira's loss to more than just tech. The black knights had figured out the weakness in Kira's fighting: He spams longe range weapons all the time. But to use them he needs distance and time to lock them all up and prep them. Shura and ophee worked out that if you close the distance repidly and overwhelm the freedom, kira wont have that time. Even later onm when kira has the upgraded freedom, he's still overwhelmed. Its also way athrun performed much better, he works in CQC mech combat
I hate to break it for you, but all alone Athrun would also lose against the Black Knights Squad, the thing is that they can read minds, so anything they do would be predicted, it took clever tactics and careful planning and coordination (with Meyrin and Cagalli) for him to outclass Shura, and there is no way he won't get overwhelmed by endless missile and beam barrage the same way Kira endured with both the Rising Freedom and the SFII. People keep gauging pilot skills on their individual capabilites, when in reality the whole movie's main point is that it takes a great deal of teamwork to beat the odds of defeating an enemy with practically overwhelming abilities.

And that Femto-Tech armor must drain a lot of energy given that it provides protection on a nano or femtometer scale. That made me question if they were equipped with nuclear fission or hyper deuterion reactors.

To be fair, he was lured away because of the thought manipulation thing by the black knights while the others were busy with defending the archangel. With the distance they had from each other and with Kira in a 3v1, the others wouldn't have made it in time before Strike Freedom was heavily damaged.
Hated Rising Freedom got destroyed and Kira lost only because he was recovering from his mind brainwashing we all know he's more powerful than that he's the most powerful one in Seed I want to say Shinn second then Athrun plus Rising Freedom and Justice couldn't keep up with Kira or Shinn couldn't bring our their full power like we see later in the film. You saw how Shinn was he fucking wrecked those Black Knights and Kira getting Mighty Strike Freedom doubled his power
