    I can now officially say that every single time I look for a Mixing Station topic or an X/M32 one I always, ALWAYS end up saying "Thank you Daniel! Finally one that explains what I was actually looking for." I wish I could just clone you or make you into an AI on my phone lol. But seriously, I come from the analog world for over 25 years and only you seem to speak both languages so concisely and efficiently. True Jedi.

    Great one Daniel .. what if you are working with more than just one microphone. That is what if you are working with about nine microphones, how do you select your RTA source ?

    • @danielkharrat
      @danielkharrat  ปีที่แล้ว

      If all of them are feeding back you would put them in a subgroup and insert the geq on the group and select that as the rta source

      can't you just select the same bus as both RTA source and target? So let's say i have a monitor mix for my drummer consisting of kick, snare, overheads, bass, guitar, vocals, can i just send all of these to the mix bus that ends in the monitor for my drummer, put an eq on that bus and then choose that bus as both the source and the target for the fdbk detection? Or would i have to double bus and have a bus that serves as the mix for my drummers monitor and send that to another bus that serves as the output?

    Though it's a feature that can help many, I'm definitely not convinced after seeing this video. Even if it's not what it used to be after 20 years in the business, I trust my hearing a lot more than this feature! And ringing out monitors is something that costs average 1 min per feed if you're experienced (experience you'll build up by not using this sort of function).
    Yes, afterwards you can improve the sound of the whole mix by weaking the GEQ, but if you keep on turning down many frequencies to ring out a speaker, try again with another mic, or another angle between speaker and mic.

    This doesn’t work for all Mixing Station-supported consoles, does it? The console needs an RTA function, right?

      No don't put a graphic eq on the speakers. Just deal with the mics that are feeding back

    Hi! Can I use that FX to channel 1-5 only? 1 FX to 5 channels for feedback elimination?

      @@musicorumph4822 you can put the channels in a subgroup and put that effect on the group

    How do I add the graphic equalizer to my x air 12 digital mixer? There are only for effects on my unit and it does not show a graphic equalizer to use.

    • @danielkharrat
      @danielkharrat  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @DJGILmiami in the eq tab of the bus you can change it from parametric to graphic. On mixing station the button is on the left side. In the pc edit app it's on the right side

    Good day thanks for the video. Question is it possible to use this on the main LR or this is for monitors only

    • @danielkharrat
      @danielkharrat  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes of course if you're main speakers are feeding back you can definitely do that
      Any graphic eq that is inserted on a channel or bus or matrix will show up in that page
      But in that case i wouldn't insert a GEQ on the LR bus, instead i would send the LR mix to a stereo matrix and put the GEQ on the matrix
      Or if there are too many frequencies feeding back and you have to do too many cuts, put it on the channel itself or put the microphones that are feeding back in a subgroup and insert that GEQ on the subgroup
      Because if you remove too many frequencies from the speakers, the sound of the instruments will become bad
