@@veithkilbert4253 my wife's bike came with tektro hydraulic disc brakes and they're hot garbage. The master cylinders are underpowered so it forces you to really squeeze the crap out of them. I have Shimano m8100 double piston brakes on my bike and there's no comparison.
@@40rtymag the price for that bike is ridiculous. If you spend $1k on a MTB you'll get a 12 speed deore or SRAM, an air fork and hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. The least they can do is give you an awesome brake since there's only one. Just be careful you don't boot out if you ever need to stop at a moments notice.

Tektro brakes are pretty bad. Get some Shimano XT 1 finger brakes and upgrade the pads
They aren't as bad as everyone says, but a lot of people upgrade to Shimano MT200s
