- WeThePeople Utopia Hybrid Bike Check - Full Build & First Impressions
In this video, I’m doing a bike check on my newly built WeThePeople Utopia Hybrid frame! This is a 20-inch frame designed for Flatland and technical street riding, and I’ll be showing you my complete build along with my thoughts on how it feels so far.
I’ll cover:
🔹 My full bike setup and parts list
🔹 First impressions on the Utopia Hybrid frame
🔹 How it compares to other Flatland frames I’ve ridden
Let me know in the comments what you think of this build! Have you ridden the Utopia Hybrid, or are you considering it?

Sick little edit bro, thanks for the post up 🤙🏻 ride on man.
Thankes! I appreciate it.
My dream frame❤
Im building up the flatland specific utopia (kinked top tube) frame because i got a good deal but i regret not having rear brake mounts, currently working out a way to use a diacompe BR-990 mount and some brackets to get a rear brake. Gyro is figured out in theory, we'll see if it works when connected!
I would love to see that brake set up when you finish! that sounds so cool.
My 1.9 heresy tires felt fat, so I measured their width with a caliper. They are actually 2.05. Not sure if it's a quality control issue, but they are closer to 2.1 than 1.9. I do still love them, but I have issues with clearance running my Ares fork.
That makes so much sense. Ya, I like them but I'm gonna go back to a smaller width next time to solve the clearance issues.
Interesting man, I ride and loved my 1.75s they made best tire ever and wanted to change to the 1.9s but damn that seems fat and wider than I’d love cuz I turbine and spin a lot and don’t want it to hinder my style and riding much
Still considering them but wonder if that’s how they are in general and hope they would fit my jungle rider frame I am going to as well.
I rode Ares 1.75 for 10 years. The switch to the fatter heresys made everything instantly more stable. I don't feel like it slowed my spins down. I'm going to try the eclat mugen 1.95 next. I expect it to be narrower than the heresy 1.9s. I think it was Jay Forde who put a caliper on the mugens and they were exactly the advertised width.
@@ostmosis the measurement you get depends on the width of the rim so it’s always a shot in the dark to that degree.
I actually would consider this fork now knowing the clearance is tight because I hate that gap above the tire below the crown
@@Davedebuono huh. I never considered the rims, but it seems obvious now that you mention it 🤔
