Thank you so much for this video. I got the R3 last December and I’ve been trying to nail the video settings. I have been having so much trouble to dial in those settings right. I think half of my issue is not using 6k raw (clog2)?
I will try to record now at 6k and follow your process.

Hey Thanks for comment. Yeah I hear you. It has been a painful experience for me too but the R3 is just amazing and gives such great results. If you go the 6K Raw route make sure you choose the 6K Raw LIGHT codec. The trouble with the 6K Raw is the file sizes are huge but the 6K Raw Light is half the size with pretty much the same quality!
You can use this same method with 4K. The 4K oversampled footage from the R3 is stunning and much smaller. To do this method with the 4K make sure you choose the CLOG3 CODEC in the camera settings and film in CLOG3. Then you can use the exact same process (Color Space Transform) to color grade it. Just one change:
Input Color Space = DaVinci Wide Gamut; INPUT GAMMA = CLOG3 (instead of CLOG2); Output the same = Output Color Space = Rec709 and Output Gamma = Gamma 2.4
Give it a try and see how it works. With this method you still might need to make some minor adjustments but if the video is exposed right it gives great results. Also make sure to watch that video I linked in the description by Team 2 Films. Really explains things
Good luck and great choice getting the r3!!!
